I saw in Channels TV two days ago the NDA demands.

1. They want internation community to be part of the dialoque so that the resolutions will be binding.
2. They want implementation of the 2014 confab report that clearly restructured Nigeria for the betterment of all, and operating the country on true federalism where states make their laws and hold their resources contributing to to central goverment.
3. They want ownership of 65% oil block.
4. They want apology for Alams dead.

Looking at these their demands, number one and two are main concerns which is not difficult for the federal goverment to implement if we want Nigeria to be trully great.

the Number three deman is inconsequential if number two demand is implemented.

the last demand is total rubbish because nobody killed Alams.
Really? is this really thier demands..no 1 and 2 will be good for the country ..becos that is what everybody have been clamouring for...i thought they just wanted ceasation and nothing more.

Politics › Falana, Others Kick As Govs Plan Vocational Training In Germany by omoharry(op): 10:58am On Jul 22, 2016
John Alechenu, Olalekan Adetayo, Friday Olokor and Ade Adesomoju

state governors are currently concluding arrangements on their plan to embark on a trip to Germany.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, dropped the hint on Wednesday night while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the forum’s meeting held inside the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Yari, who is the Governor of Zamfara State, however, did not disclose when the governors would embark on the trip which he described as “vocational.”

As part of their preparations, he said the governors listened to a presentation made by the German Ambassador to Nigeria.

The trip is coming at a time when at least 27 state governments can no longer pay workers’ salaries.

Yari said a telecommunications firm, Vodacom, also made a presentation to the meeting.

“We received some presentations from the German ambassador prior to our trip to Germany for the vocational programme. We also received presentation from Vodacom. The firm made presentation on the areas we are going to partner such as in the areas of health and agriculture,” he said.

Falana described the proposed trip as frivolous and appealed to the German government to deny the governors visa concerned.

Falana, speaking with one of our correspondents on the telephone on Thursday, described the trip as “a decoy for a summer holiday” that would amount to further waste of the scarce resources at a time the nation was said to be broke.

Falana said, “There are here enough solutions to the problems of the nation which the governors are not attending to.

“You said the country is broke, governors are embarking on jamboree to Germany.

“We are going to appeal to the German authority not to give them visa so that they can stay at home and work.

“We will contact the German government not to be party to this wastage by the Nigerian government.

“The Federal Government has just adopted about 147-page report on agriculture. How many of them have read the report?

“I think it’s just a decoy for a summer holiday.”

Speaking in the same vein, Second Republic member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Junaid Mohammed, described the proposed trip for “vocational training” as laughable and irresponsible.

Also, the spokesman for Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, said that the plan of the governors was ridiculous.

He said, “If the report is true, then the governors are out of tune with the reality of the moment. It will make sense if they are reported to be heading for Tinapa or Ogere for vocational training but to head to Germany when the economy is ‘technically in recession’ would only communicate that our governors do not appreciate where we are.”

It is most ridiculous and absurd to head to Germany at this time for vocational training when their mates in other climes are heading for space. They should shelve the jamboree.”

Me I already knew Nigeria already slipped into recession since the close of the first quarter. But my question is

What's the minister of finance doing?

Part of her job is fore seeing this recession , I remember back then when Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala usually warn the nation about what's bound to happen if measures aren't taken or adhered to. This current one is just so nonchallant leaving the job only to the CBN Governor.

When CBN reversed the policy of Dollar, I knew something was wrong somewhere and they were just trying to apply a shock therapy. Now, Its glaring that the naira has be devaluated and further inflation might make the country slip into total recession. Then we would start to dance to the tune of the IMF as they patiently waiting for us to approach them.

I guess the best thing to do is to cut down on salaries and other public expenditure for the now as the CBN governor said and ban some irrelevant importation to force product and and patronage of our local made Products before we start thinking of diversification.

Lastly, The current finance minister should be SACKED.
I concur

I am from the south south region ..Lets stop all these chest beating and name calling please..to be honest what the militants did in the south west region was bad..they are actually calling for trouble..i wouldn't know if these militant can be link to to the Niger Delta Avengers..but they are criminals..and nobody should support this nonsense. For christ sake, they killed people..fathers, mothers, brothers and sister were lost in thier vicious act..therefore we as Nigerians must conderm this nonsense.
I dont know why the black man will always laugh over another black mans misfurtune just becos he is not affected but will start crying out when he is enventually involve..why are we so selfish and insensitive to the plight of our fellow man...are we caused or what?..my fellow Nigerians!..where is our sense of humanity?..what happened to it..did we exchange it for our unhealthy ethnic and religious sentiment. We all are involve in this nonsense and we have to stop it..
You think war is the child game you see on T.V ?(Please ask the people from "Rwanda and Republic of Congo,Liberia and Centra Africal Republic) i am sure they will give you a chair to sit for them to tell you the real story of war..If you pray for war then whose blood will be spilled?..yours? mine? or your next door neighbour who wishes for nothing but a peaceful co-habitant with his neighbour within his own country..
We should have a re-think of what we are wishing and praying for..if war must be fought then it must be for a genuine purpose and not over any stupid ego and unecessary bravado of who is better than the other.Enough have been said already.

This is definitely the most sexist, narcissistic, ridiculous, absurd, pointless and thoughtless rubbish I've read on the internet..

The fact that you and the man you are defending are not used to women standing up to bullies, defending themselves against women beaters, disgusting domestic violent offenders who beat up women for talking, clowns who think a woman's place is in the kitchen and shouldn't be heard talking doesn't mean it's an acceptable behavior in civilized societies.

This is a sexist and vile human being who after threatening his co worker with violence and rape went on to sexually assault another senate member, talking about he prefer to have sex with her instead of Mrs Tinubu.

In sane and lawful societies, this clown won't be in the senate as we speak, he should have been arrested for issuing terrorists threats and this happening on taxpayers ground which is the senate means immediate dismissal from the senate.

So what a woman stood up to you? does that mean they should be threatened with violence and rape?

Is this what real men do to women when provoked?

Do you threaten the female members of your own household with violence and rape?

Do you yourself beat up and rape women when provoked?

Do you beat up your own wife bloody for any damn reason under the sun?

This is the same man who said we can not blame lecturers for raping women because female students encourage men to rape them because of what they wear. Imagine such vile nonsense coming from a law maker show we pay to protect us and our women from violence and rape.

Mentality like yours and justifying violence and rape against women is the reason why there's so much rape and violence against women in Nigeria.

Sometimes I just wonder about people like you....smh..
let him be abeg.He has not said anything wrong but gave a neutra analysis of the behaviou of both parties involve.Sorry if you choosed to turn your head to the other side when your demi god Remi Tinubu got busy with her arrogance and crass behavious toward other members of the house in the past.Dino is not the only person she has behave badly to..i am sure you are aware of that aren't you? the writer equally blasted Mrs tinubu as well as Dino but your closed up bias mind will never see that..well if you need a placard..i have one for you to join in the protest against your demi god" called the Tinubus'.I am sure you will get some money for your hard work at the end of the day.

so u carry ur malnutrition face come party just to chop free ewedu and amala go home huh U said in igbo parties food are not sufficient huh Well some igbo folks are not as hungry as you are, no need of preparing heaven and earth while it will remain un-touch, If I'm going to occasion/parties I'm not going there to chop free food and go but to honour the invitation and show my swag, before attending any functioning I will make sure I eat well well outside before entering the venue so people won't see me as hungry man, most igbo folks does that... So most celebrates normally cook foods people can finish, so to avoid excess waste, that's called economical, for abundant of drinks, yeah assorted drinks are not avoidable, the reason u see much drink than food is because its returnable, even if u didn't finish a whole cooling van u can return unused drink and ask for refund, people prefer taking drinks in occasion/parties than food, as for me I can't even remember last i ate food in parties, even if u force me the food I will only manage to take the meat and leave ur food like that, u complain of meat huh So u came to party for free meat huh Average igboman can afford a cow in his/her parties/occasions some slaughtered 2,5,7 base on fatness of ur pocket, for instance If i honoured an invitation I knew u spend money to organise just merriment, u might borrow money for it, what ever I eat in ur party I will make sure I return that money by doubling it either by spraying money during dance or give it to u by envelope....

Charlie learn how to comport urself in parties... Free things especially food dey worry stomach
I know the very essence of going to a party is to honour the celebrant..no prblem with that.. but what is the essence of the whole meriment when you can not even eat that very party jollof rice and correct meat and kpomo you have been especting to complement the whole occasion..come one na.lol..not everybody drinks like that..anyway..i am just stating my mind but that does not make me a manurished person..I always look forward to eating that party rice and assorted stew sauce meat , cooked with firewood when ever i am invited to attend one. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
