What's the point? Christians should carry guns and begin to kill to as well and turn to terrorist...Christianity is a religion of Peace. All we need is the solution on how this can be curb.
No my point is that we should join hands together and speak up against the injustice in the land.where the gov and security agencies look the other way when your brothers and sister s in the same faith are being hacked to death but would use the full weight of the law to threaten any one that speaks against their atrocities. Since the government is still treating this animistic activities like kid glove then we have no choice but to defend our life..Ekiti is free from Fulani marauders because a Goverment stood up to enact a law that would protect its citizens..and the law involve persecution of any Fulani herders that are armed.. stay there and be doing holy holy while your enemy come to you unprepared in this country Nigeria. You are talking like this because you seem far away from where this event is happening..when you lose a love one to this beast then you will know that khaki is not leather

Nigeria is surely very bad at the moment but we failed to cry and hold past leaders accountable when we were supposed to.

A man who worked for 30 years earning decent salaries but failed to save for the rainy days will have himself to blame if and when his income is halved. Our problem was caused by the past administration's failure to save while looting what they met and earned.

PMB is unfortunate to be president at this time BUT we Nigerians are lucky to have a shrewd man as him and Osinbajo at this moment.

If the IB had not been booted out, one can only wonder what could have become our story. His was an administration that had to borrow to pay federal workers even when crude was $80 per barrel. Also, about 30 states were unable to pay their workers for up to 8 months as at the time PMB came in! Where were the town criers of today? Where was 2 Face, Charlie Boy, and other beneficiaries of corruption of that time?

I will ignore senseless response to my post.
Stop preaching rubbish, you APC zombie..the real reason why PDP was voted out of power was because of their inefficiencies and gross mismanagement of the country..APC was voted in because you guys said you can fix Nigeria..why still blaming PDP that have gone? were you guys voted in to just blame PDP till your tenure is over? BLAME GAME ALL THE TIME? admit it that APC is clueless as to how to govern Nigeria so they resort to the thing they like doing most which is the blame game so as to cover their inefficiencies...you and your party should cover your head in shame..you are just like the inefficient PDP that was voted out...you are a 2faceted party..while propaganda is your tool in which being used in deceiving Nigerians..but you know what? we are wiser now.

After all Biafran agitators are gradually making some of us have a rethink on the indivisibility of Nigeria. The hard truth is that Nigerians are not and might never be united to forge a nation founded on unity, national cohesion and pursuit of a common goal. Ask a Yoruba man his goal for Nigeria, he might discuss it from the point of view of Yoruba/South West interest. A South South, North, Middle Belt or South East just like my Yoruba friend above would also put his regional interest first. Nigeria is a country that has no citizen in the true sense of the word. We are either Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Niger Delta, Christian or Muslim before we think of Nigeria. Without national unity, a country cannot grow and Nigerians have refused to unite and that's why we are where we are. A MDA headed by a Yoruba is dominated by them, the one headed by Hausa is turned to Uthman Dan Fodio empire, If u manage to see the one headed by Igbo, it is all Igbo affair. I think the day is coming perhaps after this generation of old politicians are retired, when the young Nigerians will ask themselves the hard truth; are we better off in one nation or should we end this forced marriage!
Nice...intelligent write up.

Politics › Insecurity: Northeast Stakeholders Urges FG To Ban Almajiris by omoharry(op): 11:44am On Feb 06, 2017
Some stakeholders in Gombe yesterday advised the Federal Government to take a bold step by banning the Almajiri system of education in the country as a way of solving the Boko Haram insurgency that has bedeviled the North-east for several years.

Similarly, Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar urged the federal government to pay priority attention to addressing the underlying factors that prepared the grounds for breeding insurgent groups in the region.

Speaking during the town hall meeting in Gombe yesterday, organized by the Economic Development Sub-committee of the Presidential Committee on North-East Initiative (PCNI), some of the Stakeholders who participated in the discussion unanimous called for the scraping of the Islamic system of education practiced by some Muslims.

According to them, the system was what brought about the case of the Boko Haram militants who cover under Islam and brought untold hardship to many Nigerians as a result of the mindless killings and destruction of thousands of lives and properties especially in the North-east.

“There is nothing Islamic about the group anyway and from the way you see children at the tender age of 13 been brought under one malam in a very terrible condition to learn Islamic education, does not allow that child to have a peaceful heart if he grows to adulthood in that condition.

“The child is deprived of any parental love and care, no good morals, very bad and unhealthy environment, and above all, hungry stricken. How can a child grow with a good heart in that kind of condition?” he queried.

What next after the protests?
Then thank God we don't have people like you in Tuface position..you kind will remain silent while your country Nigeria becomes a ghost of itself/...your likes will be silent and cower in fear while this selfish government finally pushes the grazing bill and take your land away from you, rape your wife and children (that is if you are married) , sack your kinsmen from their villages ,maim and murder you love ones..your likes would rather cower in silent in the face of hunger, hardship and oppression and only come online to rant about the situation on ground , fasting and praying for God to send you a helper..your type is the typical docile Nigerian that we are talking about..its either you are benefiting from this Government and not feeling the effect of this hardship or you are just intentionally hiding your head in the sand and pretending that you are not feeling the pinch from this recession..Do nothing is what you advocate, abi? that was what our fathers did over the years in the face of bad government that has crippled this country..Do nothing..by the time you and your love ones start queuing for food as a result of this depression then you will begin to understand why the youth are trying hard to speak out and make the government know that they are not happy with this administration..

Politics › Igbo Presidency Without Restructuring Will Not End Ethnic Agitations – Ohanaeze by omoharry(op): 4:14pm On Feb 02, 2017
By Peter Okutu ABAKALIKI-THE Igbo apex body, Ohaneze Ndigbo Thursday insisted that Igbo Presidency without restructuring the nation’s political sphere will still not end the agitations coming from various ethnic groups across the country. The National Publicity Secretary of the group, Mr. Uche Achi-Okaga, who in a statement issued in Abakaliki, explained that Ohaneze was an organized and focused organization added that no amount of propaganda on issue of Igbo presidency would distract it from pursuing its core mandate of protecting the welfare and interest of Ndigbo in every part of the country. According to the group, Ohaneze will not identify with any political party that is not in tandem with the call for the restructuring of the country. The statement read in part: “Mind you that in Ohaneze we are focused, so that one cannot use the issue of Igbo presidency to distract us. On restructuring we stand. Igbo presidency without restructuring will make little or no difference neither would the various ethnic agitations cease. “Defection of some Igbo personalities to the All Progressive Congress, APC, is of no relevance to Ohaneze. One can defect to Heaven or hell but Ndigbo will not identify with any political party that is not in marriage with restructuring. “Governor Okorocha can speak for Imo APC or the government of Imo State, but he is not in a good stead to speak for Ndigbo. “On the rumoured death of the President, God forbid that we should wish anybody death because death is like an identity card which we all have with its attendant expiry date. “However, if you occupy a public position maintained with tax payers money (including but not limited to medical trips) it behooves that you should account to them in all ramifications. The presidential Aids who are keeping mum on the President’s health condition are severely owing Nigerians that obligation. “It smells to high heavens that even the Minister of Information (who is also paid with tax payers money) cannot inform Nigerians on the issue. Instead, he prefers to tell us about the stale news of ‘information about Book Haram. “The issue affecting Apostle Suleiman suggests that the truth is hidden. We read in the tabloids that Northern Governors said the rampaging herdsmen are foreigners, non of the security agencies refuted or questioned the Governors. “Now does it mean that we should allow foreigners to come and be killing Nigerians? We demand an explanation even as we condemn violence and inciting words or actions”.

Babacele:
you all have deliberate short memories and it must be jogged so that we can have a sensible conversation. Unlike PDP, we have disagreed with PMB on his economic policy especially the monetary policy not being in tandem with the fiscal realities and we have never hidden that. We hope strongly that that would be corrected soon.
By shutting the borders against importation of certain locally produceable goods e.g rice, PMB has shown that he is a better economist , for millions of farmers for the first time in their career are making good money that would have been lost to Foreign farmers. The money stays here as the farmers must patronize the local markets for their clothing, shelter, luxuries, medicals and other personal stuffs. At $30/barrel that is the most sensible step to take. A serious economy must be food sufficient. While more opportunities await the Nigerian farmers, 200,000 young Nigerians have started receiving N30,000 monthly stipend under the Npower programme which aims to harness the talents of these youth volunteers for nation building as well as bridge the unemployment gap in the country.

In the pipeline is the N5,000 monthly social security for 1 million poor Nigerians . unprecedented in Naija.

More than 5 million IDPs have returned to their communities, lives and business after been displaced , hunted and dehumanized by Boko haram. We must commend our soldiers for proving that they are good and professionals well motivated by PMB unlike under the last corrupt PDP administration atmosphere that sabotaged the same army.
I can go on telling us how the Buhari administration has sincerely touched a rainbow of the Nigerian society.

One thing you guys cannot erase or wish away is history n records . Why did Nigerians vote out PDP after its 16 years in power? Nigerians see PDP as the cause of the tragedies the nation has come to represent. ..

....no economic foundation except the clayey props of the oil sector which exposed our national osteoporosis when the global oil market became sick since 2014 when the then incumbent president started borrowing to offset salaries;a corrupt judiciary, an fraudulent budget planning and implementation culture which probably made OBJ to call our NASS unharmed robbers, a collapse infrastructure development regime, and several deliberately PDP inflicted national pains that stunt any hope of growth and wholesome freedom. We may not be there yet but we are on the path and we won't be distracted.

they are competent hand among the 180 million Nigerians but greed and hunger will cloud voters judgement during election..they voted along religious and ethnic line without assessing if the person is competent for the job. They only think of the food stuff that is provided to them during campaign and they eventually sell their future along side with the future of their children because of some scrumps of items distributed during election..so my brother..this is our problem..we have good hands but the road to becoming a viable candidate through a political party is complicated..
