FERNANDEZISBACK: Shvtty mentality.. Lord of what? The ring! Is she your slave! 😂 Each spouse will have different strengths and weaknesses - don’t get stuck in culturally ‘normative’ gender roles or expectations..
Two equal adults join together in a partnership and together decide how to run their house and lives...It works... A marriage isn’t an organisation that needs a leader or head...it’s a relationship between two adults... Don't be dvmb!😂
I repeat women aren't object or your slaves that you can Lord over!🙄 I think he is referring to women that married as full time house wives . The one wey pain me pass na all these crayfish boys that call themselves men on nairaland, that are also In support of this rubbish .. Ask them to take full responsibility of thier home , they will almost die of stress and hypertension. They still have this archaic mentality of slave and master relationship, but they lack the balls to be fully responsible for the upkeep of thier family. They have refused to move on from the days of our fathers, where the men were the bread winner In the family and our mothers were either sit at home mums or were into petty trading . Then men could enforced their right as lord and masters in the house because they pay the bills personally so they call the shot. However, one can't sit on their broke ass, lamenting of how a lady ate their N5000 on a date as of it's a big deal and at the same time, be dreaming of having a women with her career ahead of her to look bye while a bump like him with his baggage of insecurity turn her into his slave .. What a dream from these poor souls on nairaland. |

OneCandleAway: I'm sure Tinubu curses Bubari in his mind everyday. Man thought Buhari will help his for 'his turn'. He didn't expect that he'll go through all these stress after all what he did to help Buhari. It's almost like selling your birthright to buhari. If he had known he should have used the propaganda for himself in 2015 Atiku and Kwankwaso had a better chance that Buhari in the primary but Tinubu fought to ensure that Buhari got the ticket because he believes he is only one that can win the election and bring APC into power . I don't think An Atiku would have let Tinubu down if only he had allowed a level playing ground in the primary for the best amongst them to emerge. |
Family › Re: My Pregnant Neighbour Has Been Restless Because She's Carrying Twin by omoharry(f): 6:58pm On Jan 22, 2023 |
UnfairLife7: My pregnant neighbour has been so restless and sick having discovered she's carry twin
This neighbour of mine is pregnant with 6 other kids. She has been finding it difficult to feed her family including her 6 children. Her husband is an electrician and plumber but he hasn't been getting job inorder to take care of his family. The children had been out of school for several years
I live with my aunt who's a widow. I saw my aunt stressed out yesterday and worried and i was wondering what could be the problem. She was the one who told me about the woman predicament. My aunt has emptied her little foodstuffs because of this woman and her children. My aunt is just a poor widow who's managing herself and kids but she can't stand the sight of this woman and her children hungry.
My aunt told me the woman's friend advice her to inject the pregnancy through abortion. She's six months gone and according to those her friends even nine months pregnancy can be aborted provided she has the money and her state of mind is willing to not forceful
According to her friends, they felt that's the best decision she could consider due to her condition. She cannot even feed the ones on ground, they are not going to school and she's still carry twin right in her womb. She hasn't gotten any baby things. It was my aunt that took her for antenatal when the pregnancy was in 4 months stage. She has been so confused on what to do. My aunt wasn't in support of it though, same time she doesn't have money to support her and her children.
Nigeria isn't saner climes where government support the less privileges. She will be having 8 children in total if she chose not to abort it. What will become the fate of these innocent children? How will she survive with these children in Nigeria? She fainted yesterday and was rushed to the hospital. It was confirmed that she has been thinking so much and she doesn't eat well. This has affected her health conditions.
Her family and that of the husband had been so helpful according to her and it has really taken a toll on them. She even lost one of her uncle who has been supportive. This woman is sad, she's broken and shattered into pieces. I'm even scared of her life because she's not getting good medical attention for her condition. She doesn't eat well for herself and the foetus. I'm even bothered about her life, I sincerely hope all what she's going through wouldn't tell on her on the day of delivery.
Please what's your advice for this woman and her family She can give the twins up for adoption. They will be better off with an Ok family that can take care of them rather than with them that cannot feed themselves.Adoption to me is the best at the moment . Tell her to think about it very well, then go ahead to discuss it with her husband. if he is ok with it ,then they can both make arrangements with a govt agency in Nigeria that is responsible for this kind of things. As for the two careless neighbors.. next time they should apply measures to prevent this kind of expensive mistake .. The stupid man in question should try and apply withdrawal method during sex and the women should go for family planing. Even normal middle class family with only two children are managing to keep head above water and one begins to wonder if these kind of men think of the consequences of having unprotected sex without considering the consequences of their actions . |

The Vice President would have been a better choice, he is well groomed, marketable, pious and very industrious. He was very efficient in his acting capacity the times Buhari left.
The Tinubu ticket is a failure in all entirety! True talk.. if only they had allowed an Osibanjo I won't be in PO camp. But right now, since they refused Osibanjo to clinch the ticket then PO is the best candidate from the three main contenders . rippa: Good day guys! So today i went to the primary school at Kola bus stop in Alimosho local govt in Lagos that INEC said my PVC is to get it. Below are what i witnessed today; 1. We were on queue when the INEC officials announced that those that did transfer and still have their old PVC will drop it when they have the New one. One elderly woman created a scene and said she will not drop hers that they want to use it to rigged the election
2. The APC councillor (he was on APC cap) in that ward came around and he went to the INEC officer to greet him and when they were discussing the people on the queue told the man to leave that he is distracting the INEC officials and the next thing, they started singing "never we will vote APC again after 8yrs of suffering" and it all happened in Lagos.
People are really ready to do the right thing come February and we pray that the will of the people prevails
P.S: I got my card today and I'm ready to vote Obi for presidency, and Sanwo Olu for governor. Please congratulate me And for me, I will vote PO for president, & Faleke APC for Senate the guy is doing great in his constituency. As for governorship.. non . |

First of all, I will thank you Pres. Buhari for signing the electoral reform bill into law , as so many Nigerians will now be able to vote with the confidence that thier vote will count. Aside from this , your administration is the worse of its kind since 1999. You took us backward. Nigeria is now the poverty capital of the world, all thanks to your vision less leadership. The country is more divided than it has ever been, thanks to your clannish style of leadership. The security situation of the country has worsened and Nigerians now die every in thier hundred and thousand because you just don't care or too clueless to curb this menace of insecurity across the country ..All thanks to your nepotistic leadership, our soldiers cannot defeat these rag tag criminals. Inflation is all time high and basic food stuff is now difficult for ordinary Nigerians to purchase in the market. So, all areas of our very existence in this country is practically a struggle under your visionless leadership. So, Oga Presido , your best is not good enough . We will regard your exit in May a good riddance. We can't wait for you to leave. |

Do you even understand that it's an act of criminality to give someone a loan at 50% interest within 7days. They annoying part of it all is that these companies are owned by Chinese! Agreement is agreement. Didnt they see the interest attached to the loan before going ahead to take the loan? I don't understand you Nigerians. Loan defaulters are criminals at heart . They know they don't have the means to pay back the loan but went ahead to still borrow from these loan sharks anyway. And here you are trying to wip off sentiment here over these loan defaulters. They have no business taking loan when they are not sure of how to pay back . They deserve whatever they get when they refused to pay back loans. |

Brendaniel: Yes we are supporting President Peter Obi(GCFR)
Sometimes I ask if it is the same Tinubu that governed Lagos from 1999-2007 or there is another Tinubu his supporters are talking about, I was in secondary school when Tinubu became governor, Idi-oro, mile-12 and Oshodi even mushin, I believe those places were the most dirtiest places on planet earth, as a kid it was like torture going to those places or passing through those places.
I could still remember when my sister was doing her traditional wedding at my uncle's place, my dad's car was faulty, so we all had to go with public transportation, that was my first time going through Oshodi with public transportation, because of how dirty Oshodi was my legs were dirty when I got to my uncle's house at Gbagada, I was feeling ashamed of meeting my cousins because they will be wondering were I was coming from for my sister's traditional wedding, I had to hide and started washing my legs and all.
I lived in Ikeja, the first time Tinubu passed through my street in Ikeja as a kid I knew this man was just not serious about governance, he used about 50 vehicles, his main car was G-wagon, that was the first time I knew police had a unit called bomb squad because it was also included, imagine when Nigeria was a lot safer in terms of security and he flaunted all these just because he was governor of Lagos.
Some few months later I saw his deputy governor's convoy(Bucknor), just about 3 vehicles, her main car was Peugeot 505 evolution, the glass was not even tinted, I saw her face clearly, I knew something was wrong, it didn't take long before Tinubu kicked her out.
The same Tinubu I knew was always going to Night shift coliseum with Osoba dancing gawu those days, his governance was party party governance, he made night shift coliseum very popular.
It was when Fashola became governor, that was when real governance started in Lagos since 1999, then as a kid I said that was the only good thing Tinubu did for Lagos state, bringing Fashola in, because the difference in governance was too clear.
He did some roads like Kudirat Abiola way and some projects like millennium school at Ojodu and so on but you can't compare his performance with even Marwa not to talk of Fashola or Ambode, In my ranking he is the worst Lagos state governor I have ever known.
This is my own experience I had under Tinubu's governance, As for Atiku that one was a national disgrace I didn't know people like you are still around . Allowed have here are sycophants and blind loyal and tribalistic praise singers. You really said it as it was back then.Fashola govt brought sanity to Lagos .. |

one may wonder, "saveable" but i'd like you all to indulge me, my question again, Is Nigeria saveable?? in the true sense of the word, can we as a nation survive the bad leadership, bad roads, bribery and corruption, joblessness, youth restiveness, petrol price hike cum lack there of, lack of electricity and water , the list seems endless, AND evrything negative that has become associated with Nigeria and Its citizenry?
Sometimes i wonder is it just a phase we're going thru? (since we Nigerians always seem to chin up and bear it or when backed to the wall, we simply climb over instead of having a stand off, ) OR is it that we are as a nation going slowly but surely to the dogs?
Dont get me wrong, im not one of the naysayers, there is a lot that is good about Nigeria, however, we have a lot of issues to address too!
So good people, lets hear you: Is Nigeria saveable? what one aspect of the nationhood do you think if changed can bring about a significant positive turnaround in our fortunes (for lackof a better word) and future as a nation With the kind of citizens like Nigerians in it ! Naaaaaa!! |
