Nothing describes an Oaf more than the thinking of an individual who immediately assumes that certain jobs most be considered rubbish because "even senior lawyers back in those days now earn less than 1/2 our monthly income". Geez!...do you really make life changing decisions based on shallow thoughts as this?

I wondered if someone cared enough to educate your little brain whilst making career decisions that your choices must be made based on where your interests lie, what it is you intend to do for living and the resources available for you to achieve the future you wanted....and not on what other people considered careers with/without "prospects" or "ridiculed" professions.

I'm convinced without doubts that brainless beer parlor conversations as this are reasons for thriving cancerous perceptions that young people should take up careers that pays the most, or the ones that are most famous and clearly not ones that defines them or their abilities.

If the likes of Wole Soyinka or Chinua Achube listened to Oafs during their days, they may have ended up becoming frustrated Medical doctors or Pilots rather than the high achieving Icons they are and the legacies that will forever follow their names. Clearly, Oafs must always be defeated if people were to go after their dreams.

And just so i may make it clear, the fact that i found your post stu[i]p[/i]id does not necessarily mean I am bitter about the contents. It's simply what it is, stu[i]p[/i]id!

^^^ sorry if I hit u below the belt by mentioning ur profession there, its not that am gloating at you cos u are broke. I just thought it was wise to help people know, especially d younger ones to make better choices in choosing a career. Many of us were misled in earlier days to get into careers without prospects just becos they sounded great on the jamb bronchure, while some others were able to reinvent their careers to becoming more relevant.

With this thread, my purpose was not to make u look useless really but to make u realise what people think of ur line and perhaps do something different to make it count and most importantly to prove it wrong by telling them of some new dimensions it has or is taking.

If u feel so bad about this and think its a direct attack on u. Just shut up and do nothing, maybe it would help people think about the true facts better

I have noticed that a woman is mostly expected to suffer before she is referred to as a good wife or sweet mother.
The story or picture of a sweet mother is usually one who suffers so much for so long.

One funny thing is that any technological innovation that aims to make womens life easier is strongly resisted and women who use these called lazy.

Funny thing those complaining will always rush technological gadgets like they phones they use to comment. They will use calculator instead of calculating with their brains yet it doesnt make them lazy. They will have the newest cars, instead of bicycles or treking like their likewise hard working fathers and ancestors. They will use clippers instead of razor as used by grandfathers, they will wear all the desinger wriat watches instead of standing under the sun to check time. They will eat processed food and meat unstead of going to farm for food, hunt for it or fish like their own fathers did.

1. Yam pounder: lazy women cant pound common yam for 4 people they cant pound. My mother used to pound for all 3 wives and 38 children without getting tired.

I am a redeemer. The case of RCCG will be worst than that of CAC if he dies. So many branches of the church have been converted to personal parishes as a result of marginalisation from some ethnic groups in the church.

I once asked they shud give me the first five leaders of the church. What I noticed was that they are from same ethnic group. Does it mean they own the church? Does it mean they are more holy than the rest? So many questions...

Fashola is an elitist person with no feelings for the common man. Apart from cosmetic road construction in highbrow areas where he has vested interests and renovation of flower gardens, what record of achievement can we credit him with ? For 8 years, he built no new schools, old ones are dilapidated while roads in hinterlands are impassable. Left to Fashola, the children of the poor have no right to education. He even had the effontery to say that he built no low cost houses because he wasn't elected by the low-income people. Stop wasting your time, the people of SW are astute thinkers with regards to elections and a ticket that carries Fashola's name will be a hard sell. there are so much hues and cries about the volatility of all muslim ticket in Nigeria, as a yoruba xtian, i am bold to say that majority of my fellow yoruba xtians don't even know Fashola is a muslim. they see him as performance personified hence his being an achiever and intellectual is more pronounced than his religious inclination. the result of my findings and interactions is that SW is a wrong place to play politics of religion bcuz almost all families are evenly distributed along religious lines , hence they see you first as a yoruba man before your religion.
hence a Buhari/Fashola in the SW is seeing as North/Yoruba ticket and it will surely fly.
