May the souls of the victims rest in peace. you are right my brother but the Nigerian spirit takes no time in descending on someone when you are poor, angry and frustrated. A bus whose brake failed almost killed me last week Tuesday at uba head office roundabout. I nearly killed the driver. Not until when the area boys came to his aid and told me to let him go saying if I had died se I go fit fight. |

Which deep down in me I never wanted it to happen, bt it was about going to happen because of the pregnancy involved. DONSMITH123: A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday granted bail to each of a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party,Haliru Bello, and his son, Abba Bello, in the sum of N300m with two sureties in like sum.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed in a ruling on the accused persons’ bail applications also ordered that they should deposit their passport with the court pending the determination of their trial.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday arraigned Bello and his son, accusing them of collecting about N300m meant for procurement of arms for political campaigns but was received from the Office of the National Security Adviser under the guise of using it for “safe houses”.
Also charged along with them is their firm, Bam Project Properties.
The judge in his ruling on Thursday, ordered Bello to remain under the supervision of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, at the Abuja Clinic, where he is said to be treated for injury resulting from spinal surgery.
But the court directed that Abba be remanded in Kuje prison pending when both of them would meet their bail conditions.
The judge also ruled that one of the sureties that Bello should produce must be a director in the service of the Federal Government or any of its agencies.
He ruled that the other surety must own property in Abuja worth the N300m bail sum.
With respect to the son’s bail, Justice Ahmed ruled that one of his sureties must be a federal civil servant not less that Grade Level 12 and the other must also own property worth N300m in the Federal Capital Territory.
The judge ruled that the title documents of the property to be presented by the sureties would be verified by court officials and surrendered to the court throughout the period the trial would last.
The court fixed February 16 for commencement of trial.

http://www.punchng.com/court-grants-ex-pdp-chairman-bello-son-n600m-bail%e2%80%8e/ From : Operational Risk Management Subject : Lassa Fever Virus Disease - Be Informed and Stay Safe Date : Thursday, January 7, 2016 You may have seen recent media reports of confirmed cases of Lassa fever in Nigeria. Research also shows that the disease is also endemic in some West African countries like Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, etc. Lassa Fever is a virus, transmitted when a human comes into contact with an infected rat’s feaces, urine, or the bodily fluids of an infected human. The Mastomys Rat carries the virus. These rats breed rapidly and bear many offspring, increasing the potential for spread of the virus from rats to humans. Further, these rats are often found in human homes. Transmission through contaminated food is common, as the rats can leave excretions in food stores. Symptoms Symptoms show up anytime between one and three weeks after infection and include fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, facial swelling, protein in the urine, encephalitis, and mucosal bleeding. Rapid Response Committee The Federal Government has created the Lassa Fever Rapid Response Committee, whose goal is to control and prevent the spread of the disease. Public health officials have also asked Nigerians to stop burning bushes as this drives rats out of the bush and into nearby houses. Fatality Rate It is pertinent to mention that most people recover from Lassa fever. The fatality rate is one percent. However, there is a high risk of deafness even from the mildest of cases of the disease. Preventative Measures Staff are reminded of the need for meticulous hand washing and other enhanced hand/food hygiene practices, and to store food away from possible rodent contamination. Be Informed and Stay Safe. Thank you. |

The only person i finally told the true of what transpired was a man of God; whom after praying, disclosed to me that the strange girl has a jealous spiritual husband who is a serpent. So the snake that bit me wasn't ordinary.
Trust me, even if you were not bitten by a snake, and you confess this escapade to your MOG someday, he will probably still tell you that the lady was a spirit, or some bullshyte.
Sex is sex, be it at home, work, on the road, in the bush, in your car, on your roof....The only difference here is you invaded a reptile's privacy, and it struck back at you. You were in a village, bushes everywhere, and snakes hide in bushes, and it was night too...

I am not really a politician or an economist, and I have been legit, 4 years without a job. But everybody has a break point.
I am neither APC or PDP, and I know the country is in a mess, but my livelihood is threatened at the moment.
With no job in sight, I ventured into mini importation, now what happens from January 1st? Aliexpress escrow services will be useless to us in Nigeria, how can I buy goods with western union when it can be a scam? The escrow service was really helping us. Cash transactions were threats.
How about the cashless policy?
Anyways, my people, I don't know what to do now, because the little things I buy and sell, if I can't do such transactions again, this will be the death of my little business. People say graduates should create jobs, NEPA frustrated my first business, CBN is frustrating this one now.
It is saddening because I am 30 this year, with nothing to show for it... I think I'm at the point where I will be willing to do anything.
Someone should please beg CBN for us. I am just a man who no one listens to.

Health › Re: How The Internet Helped Restore My Baby's Health by omoiseselagba: 7:55pm On Sep 16, 2015 |
kennysteve77: Fellow Nairalanders,
With great joy in my heart I give this brief account of how the internet helped restore my baby's health and prevented possible long-term complications. My lovely eight-month old baby suddenly began having seizures few days ago. It was so severe that it worried me and her mum so much that we though it was a spiritual attack. She would suddenly stiffen her neck and shake with great energy (seemingly unconscious), and then return to normal mode in less than a minute.
It happened like 3-5 times every 15minutes. Everytime it occurred, we felt like weeping as the ever lovely baby seemed to have been strangely hijacked. We rushed to the hospital and some blood tests were recommended. On seeing the results, the Doctors quickly knew it was a brain infection coupled with Malaria. Although some of them were worried that all other symptoms of Malaria and infection were absent in the baby - no high temperature, no yellow eyes, baby actively playing and sucking. The doctors immediately commenced treatment with strong antibiotics passed directly into her bloodstream + antimalarial drugs. Twice daily she was receiving the medications but on the third day, they got more worried that there was no improvement.
My wife was drastically losing her joy while everyone else was praying. On the evening of that third day, my wife picked her phone and began an extensive research on Google.com for possible causes of such condition. She stumbled on a research paper that presented the Negative Effects of Soybean in Babies. This paper caught her attention because two days before the seizures began, she introduced Soybean into our baby's food formula (on a Doctor's recommendation). The article stated that Soybean inhibits the production of Trypsin which is very essential for infants and also triggers irregular impulse in the brain neurotransmitters thereby causing frequent seizures which, after a long period, could render the child epileptic. The paper added that the inhibition of Trypsin could lower the immune system (which could make doctors believe it to be an infection).
We immediately stopped feeding the baby with the formula but we didn't notify anyone of the finding to allow a continued treatment. By the following day, the seizures started fading and in just two days, it went away completely. We are still in awe with this discovery while we are very glad that the baby is back to normal life, but I felt - this might help someone someday.

Funny enough, when i look at the life uncles and cousins are living in Lagos, i feel somehow....... Some have been working for close to 10yrs with no house and meaningful investment. Rather they tell me how difficult and expensive things are, a 2bedroom flat could be like 700k for a year + agent.. Now how do one cope when the children started going to school and bills grows while salary may be crawling...
Yes one would be working in lagos but ur mates in town like ibadan, akure, osogbo, owerri, minna would have built their house, own some other investments that they could run to even when the hard times knocks... This is why many lagosian don't want to come home when they are called upon, except if u are lucky to get a huge salary job..

mutter: Please instead of thinking how to punish him you should be thinking on how to save youself from this agony. You need to focus all your energy on getting out of his mess. It`s either he changes for the good and you have the heart to forgive him or he doesn`t. With kid` you can`t jut get up and leave without planning it. The plans you need to make will at the same time aim you more respect and maybe even save your marriage. So start trying to make some money of your own. Try to earn some money no matter how small. IT will give you some level of independence and be vey focused on saving. Insist now on getting into a job or biz. Get your family and his to support you. That they will probably do. Please get active. IT is very good for one to identify with something, church or an organization. As long as you are not sure of his sexual habits abstain or insist he uses a condom. Focus your energy on building yourself that is the best way to punish him. Punish him with success. Sorry but that man is mean and heartless. May God touch his heart. He doen`t deserve a wife. He is not heartless.he is just a man.the truth is he likes sex and lacks self control.nothing will change him.he will only stop when he wants to stop.the woman should just get herself a job first.women's financial freedom makes men to panic.i have been there before, when my woman stopped demanding money from me while she was in school.i was scared someone else is doing it and that perhaps to me means someone is fking her.some men, just like me dont respect a woman who add little or no value.ALL WHAT THE OP NEEDS IS JOB.on sex, comdom first then all other things can follow.as per praying for him,if you believe in it.pray for him. |
