Now here it is: They have been married for almost 30 years with grown up children,all out of the house

They have been having problems as soon as the marriage started but the woman has managed to cope,fast and pray as expected by the society...despite the beatings,abuses and torture. At a point,her dad refunded the dowry and asked her to come home,she refused.Now both parents are late and they have been separated for abt 4 years.but as the children took sides with the woman and abandoned the man,he is now threatening to kill her diabolically or physically via charm or hired assasins...and he sends her such messages via sms.

What can she do?

Nigerian bosses can be extremely stu*pid. They don't know how to talk at all. At their position they don't know it all either. Why knock a young person down if you are not a lunatic. Sorry OP, don't define yourself by other people's madness. Your boss is a mad man. There is criticism and then destructive talk. He probably has very low self esteem and feels he needs to drag you down. Thank him for HIS opinion and keep working on yourself and find another job quick. Such personalities cannot be productive only destructive.

I dnt condone adultery, but even if the woman commited adultery or even murder, the hubby shouldnt have beaten her to the point of death. He would have just divorced her as the bible commanded.

I am not surprised at OP's question. I had a similar experience with a married man.

I was teaching in a school immediately after NYSC and there was this computer teacher who is a married man. We were in the staff room one day when someone called him that there's a job somewhere but the clause is the person should not be more than 28 years.

He was 30 as at then,this man came to ask my colleague and I and we said give us the mail lets apply then I remembered his wife and I asked casually is your wife more than 28 years, he said no, I now said why not let her have the opportunity then he said you know women now[b] once they start making money they will feel pompous and start behaving somehow. [/b]

I was shocked , the job pays 4times the peanuts all of us were earning and this guy can borrow money ehn(simply because the salary is not just enough for a family) His wife was a housewife with no business oo.
Now he saw an opportunity that will relieve your family just because of insecurity he let it slide.

OP the fact that you are even thinking about it says a lot. If it was the type of job, stress she will undergo, location of the office that you were thinking about its understandable. If it was a job that pays half your salary I guess you won't hesitate/think about it.

The thing is he has laid a bad reputation for himself and getting visa to any country now would be very difficult.
he has two options now- to start from where he had no patience at first to start from- get a degree
