The army after scrutinising Buhari's record could only find a recommendation letter from Buhari's principal to the interview panel of NDA selection board requesting that the chairman permits Buhari to sit for the interview and further assuring the panel that he was sure that Buhari would pass the waec when he eventually sit for the exam. Buhari got admission but because he enjoyed continuous flow of nepotism and favouritism which saw him grew in rank and getting juicy appointments in the army, he quickly dismissed the idea of sitting for the waec.
