Akiliogidi: No you are not crossing any boundary, the essence of this thread is to learn and feel free to ask any questions you want. I can give as much text details as possible on here, but the video would do a lot more explanations including practical excercises to match the explanations. I hope that makes sense to you. |

wine4dguy: Thanks for the recognition, but like I said in my opening video, I am assuming my audience are people with little to no knowledge of programming at all and that being said, there are a lot of basics that needs to be cleared before moving up to using frameworks and data manipulation. I actually feel that is a bit advance for stack beginners. Variables basic principles of OOP needs to be understood before Frameworks and data manipulation would make any sense. I understand you are a developer already but as this thread proceed, we’ll eventually get to EF stage and even higher advanced stage.ls than that! Stay tuned and keep the suggestions coming. |

Akiliogidi: The latest version is only updated to support the new .Net Core framework, other than that, they can do everything else like 2017. So for a beginner, 2015 or 2017 is fine! You have to be a very senior engineer to understand what the latest version can do and that’s not a necessary information for a starter. 1 Like |

C# is a strongly typed language and what do I mean strongly typed? Every data that you want to use or reference to would require a "type" declaration by C#. For example, if you want to declare a text data type such as a name or sentence, We would need to use the string data type to declare that. string name = "John"; for numbers, we would use integer: int result = 20; and we also have other data types such as double, float, decimal, Boolean, var, dynamic and many more. We can also use a class as a type but that is an advance topic and we would definitely get there as we proceed. string name = "John"; console.WriteLine(name); Console.ReadLine(); This would print out John. I would be making video tutorials to follow up on my explanations here. Please subscribe to my youtube channel to motivate me because without you guys, it would be a dry page and channel. I want to help you guys to become engineers from the scratch. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwNrlP_X_VV4vg00P2QmDnw 2 Likes |

LagosismyHome: I want to believe your information is based on hearsay. Now let me put a light on it for you. There is something known as “Economic Hardship” for a student on F1. And that lifeline is not available until after 1 year in college. Now when a student file for economic hardship, the best the school can do for such student is to authorize the student to work off campus and not student loan. Any F1 student that gets a student loan in the US has got a creditworthy cosigner. This is not a matter of arguement. It’s a public knowledge and all thanks to google. I rest my case |

LagosismyHome: I don’t want to believe that, It’s either your friends have you wrong information, but If the international student office stand for them, then it’s still considered as cosigner! So that still brings us back to the fact that if there is no creditworthy cosigner, no student loan for an international student Perhaps, what do you mean by post employment ability? Kindly elucidate because I don’t think that makes sense economically considering the fact that a student is on F1 visa and the school assures a financial company of the students ability to get job to pay back loans that could take as long as 15-20 years to payback |

gokuu: @bolded, except the person you are talking about is a US Citizen or residency, then that’s a very horrible lie from the deepest pit of hell! Loan and SSN are related like brothers and sister. No loan or financial company in the US would give you a loan without SSN to run a credit check on you. Let’s be factual about the information we give on here in order not to mislead people. ***In addition*** If you are an international student, you ain’t getting no jack student loan without a co-signer even if you have excellent credit at that! I stand on that! YES!

You all are making the loan thing sound easy. 1. You can’t get a US loan as an international student without a US citizen/residents with very good credit score. 2. Indians get loans from their country and not in the US 3. How can you even go to the embassy there in naija with a US loan approval. I mean how did you get the loan approved without you being in the US proving a US address and maybe SSN. It’s technically impossible to go to Embassy with a US loan approval document. You have to be here first. 1 Like |
