okpara ugo: The sights one observes while passing through Iwo road, Ibadan is enough reason not to site a business there...

Thank God for Lagos if not, SW would have been for archaelogical findings...

True that. Iwo road is so drab, especially between Ojoo-Lagos freeway.

Area boys in Yoruba.

SO why complaining about Kidnapping? No be your kinsmen they kidnap?

Did you read the links. Yorubas kidnap Igbos deliberately in Yorubaland. Have you heard of Igbos kidnapping Yorubas in Igboland? Talking of kidnapping, please what is the meaning of gbomogbomo?

Yorubas are not accomodating and they sell land to you to you to build and trade and yorubas have not kill or burn your houses like hausa in the north.
You all call yorubas corwd bc of our reception .

You sell land I give you money. What is accommodating there?

You have killed Igbos in Lagos.

I am a CORE Igbo man, I do not live in Lagos, I have no personal stake in it, I will never invest a dime in Lagos. I am establishing myself economically in the USA which is where I live and work - 6 fig salary. I am repatriating some of my savings to Alaigbo, investing in landed property and in agro-based investments. I also have shares in 10 of Nigeria's best banks. But company shares are liquid assets that I intend to sell off even from here; so although the bank h/qs may be based in Lagos, it is of no relevance to me. However, I have a close relative who lives in Lagos, owns his residence and has two other houses he is renting to Yorubas. He is a Manager in Nestle PLC (Multinational) Agbara. I have alerted him to what is happening, in case he is oblivious. He has ears and I hope he will do what is right. There is a NESTLE branch in Aba, he could wangle his way back there.

In this thread and others, we have established that Igbos in Lagos have the demographic and economic strength they can leverage to achieve set objectives. If they fail to utilize it, it is their cup of tea. If they fail to repatriate some of their investments in Lagos to Alaigbo, it is their problem. I have ears and I am smart to hear with it. I was born way, way after the war, but I have come to know of the abandoned property saga. It ain't gonna happen to me. I am a strong proponent of Igbos developing their land.

Igbos in Lagos work for themselves, other other Igbos, for the fed govt and for multinationals. Others are students, the aged and the young.

Igbos come to Lagos, open a company and employ Yorubas. How many Yorubas are employing Igbos?

In Orji Kalu company alone, there are at least 3 Yoruba management staff. Can I see same for Yoruba companies

Dangote pay Tax on the following.

Staff basic and allowance tax (Do you know how much their staff is?)
Pay income tax
and many other uncountable tax. Thats what drives the economy.

Agbero also pay tax in Lagos. Get that into your skull

Which Agbero dey pay tax?

Taxes from million s of Igbo business people help drive Lagos. You talk of company staff, Igbos are also staff in many of those companies and they pay taxes as well.

He pays his taxes and other state-imposed levies such as business premises levy, plus the extortion from babaloja.

See an Igbo man making 1-2 million per day while you earn 100K or less per month

“I sell shoes in my warehouse, while I also supply my wife who sells in the showroom. We sell up to 100 to 150 cartons in a day and make up to N1m or N2m.

http://www.punchng.com/metro/father-sells-family-land-to-settle-sons-accuser/

This is why Igbos have more disposal income than Yorubas. Have you heard that Shoprite in Ibadan is about to close due to low patronage?

Big companies pay salaries, employs millions of Nigerians. Have visited Victoria Island before? See the way third Mainland bridge blocks every night due to white collar Job people going home?

See your small scale companies don't count. Sparepart shop cant employ hundred talkless of thousand.

Let me educate you. When we say economy. Think of Salary earners first. They are the gate way through which money flows into the market. Do I have to go low to your level?

How much is your salary per annum. An above average trader makes more than million a day. How many people are well paid in those companies. I am a Nigerian remember?

We lead in Indigenous enterprises (small and medium scale companies) and that is what drives the existence of most Lagosians, only few of which are employed by bluechips.

All bluechips repatriate their returns, leaving nothing for Lagos
