okpara ugo: The sights one observes while passing through Iwo road, Ibadan is enough reason not to site a business there...True that. Iwo road is so drab, especially between Ojoo-Lagos freeway. |
hotwax: Kidnapping is an eastern syndrome.Did you read the links. Yorubas kidnap Igbos deliberately in Yorubaland. Have you heard of Igbos kidnapping Yorubas in Igboland? Talking of kidnapping, please what is the meaning of gbomogbomo? |
This is how accommodating Youbas are to Igbos https://www.nairaland.com/815047/frontpage-news-pertinent-question-yorubas |
Jobos: Yorubas are not accomodating and they sell land to you to you to build and trade and yorubas have not kill or burn your houses like hausa in the north. You sell land I give you money. What is accommodating there? You have killed Igbos in Lagos. |

Prove me wrong an dlet Hausas and other ethnic group kick your a.sssss.Is that how you accomodate? https://www.nairaland.com/811540/again-yorubas-kidnap-igbo-sw https://www.nairaland.com/724430/ondo-owo-youths-kidnap-release http://africanexaminer.com/nysc0321 |
I am a CORE Igbo man, I do not live in Lagos, I have no personal stake in it, I will never invest a dime in Lagos. I am establishing myself economically in the USA which is where I live and work - 6 fig salary. I am repatriating some of my savings to Alaigbo, investing in landed property and in agro-based investments. I also have shares in 10 of Nigeria's best banks. But company shares are liquid assets that I intend to sell off even from here; so although the bank h/qs may be based in Lagos, it is of no relevance to me. However, I have a close relative who lives in Lagos, owns his residence and has two other houses he is renting to Yorubas. He is a Manager in Nestle PLC (Multinational) Agbara. I have alerted him to what is happening, in case he is oblivious. He has ears and I hope he will do what is right. There is a NESTLE branch in Aba, he could wangle his way back there. In this thread and others, we have established that Igbos in Lagos have the demographic and economic strength they can leverage to achieve set objectives. If they fail to utilize it, it is their cup of tea. If they fail to repatriate some of their investments in Lagos to Alaigbo, it is their problem. I have ears and I am smart to hear with it. I was born way, way after the war, but I have come to know of the abandoned property saga. It ain't gonna happen to me. I am a strong proponent of Igbos developing their land. |
Igbo investor in Lagos http://www.sepcol.org/Management_Chairman.htm |
Eddy Martins Egwuenu Source: Banking A former bank chief, Egwuenu is the second largest individual shareholder of the Zenith Bank Group. His 1.5% stake in Zenith Bank alone is worth about $60 million. |
tintingz: Ibos are working for Yorubas...but they can't work for their own land... IronicWorking for you how? We employ you and pay you salaries to feed you families |
Another Igbo company in Lagos http://www.integratedoilandgas.com/contactus.html For Igbos, its not just buying and selling, its also about solid investments in the real sector. |
99cent: the igbo company is paying its dues. I approve. fashola approvesThey are beating you in your own ''land'' |
MANY OF THE SMALL TIME MARKET HUSSLERS IN ALABA AND IDUMOTA (ALMOST 100% IGBO MARKETS) ARE YORUBAS |
99cent: we allow them in our lands. that's more than enough. let them work for us. work to build and develop the SWYou allow them in your land? In which country do Igbos belong again? |
99cent: why? that we allow u into lagos in d first place is a sign of yoruba benevolence. u should be thankful. if u behave, we will hire u.So what do Igbos in Lagos gain from Lagos? We employ ourselves, we pay you tax and other levies, we employ you, we build mansions and rent to you. What are you doing for Igbos? |
hotwax: so starcoms, glo, GTbank employ only Yorubas.Yes they do not. Show me any Igbos there. If they have a branch in Igboland, then Igbos will be there. We are talking of in Lagos. |
ak4God: So many Jobless people on this forum....@omo Yoruba,Elumelu was my boss ,he is not Igbo but from Delta State. He is original Delta boy.Very soon una go claim say na igbo get Delta infact the whole Niger Delta..Nwanne una like claim better thins.Abeg make una claim Borno too. What is Delta? Is that a tribe? You ignoramus. He was your boss so what? Do you know if he is anything to me? |
99cent: just don't let Fashola catch u without ur investment money. u will be waitlisted for deportation with immediate effect.Show me Yorubas employing Igbos in Lagos |
One of the accountants, two auditors, heads of transport and the IT departments at Coscharis Motors LIMITED are Yoruba Click on each link http://coscharisgroup.com/?page_id=4435 |
99cent: let me guess, that company is in Lagos, Yorubaland?Igbos in Lagos work for themselves, other other Igbos, for the fed govt and for multinationals. Others are students, the aged and the young. Igbos come to Lagos, open a company and employ Yorubas. How many Yorubas are employing Igbos? In Orji Kalu company alone, there are at least 3 Yoruba management staff. Can I see same for Yoruba companies |
I am yet to see a 100% Yoruba company employing an Igbo man in Lagos, but I can name off the cuff one, two three Yoruba employed in a 100% Igbo owned company |
hotwax: Thats the point. You keep shooting yourself. He pays his tax. Thats a singular entity. Haba na KJ student you be.Which Agbero dey pay tax? Taxes from million s of Igbo business people help drive Lagos. You talk of company staff, Igbos are also staff in many of those companies and they pay taxes as well. |
hotwax: Your point is Igbos dont do crimes? No kiddnapping no robbery? Igbos are angel. They dont have any record of crime. You are the one who brought in crime matter. He responded to you appropriately. |
hotwax: How much is the trader contributing to the economy by paying salaries? Again slowpoke. Big companies contribute to the economy by paying salary, igbo investments is for xmas joli-joli in their villageHe pays his taxes and other state-imposed levies such as business premises levy, plus the extortion from babaloja. |
See an Igbo man making 1-2 million per day while you earn 100K or less per month “I sell shoes in my warehouse, while I also supply my wife who sells in the showroom. We sell up to 100 to 150 cartons in a day and make up to N1m or N2m.http://www.punchng.com/metro/father-sells-family-land-to-settle-sons-accuser/ This is why Igbos have more disposal income than Yorubas. Have you heard that Shoprite in Ibadan is about to close due to low patronage? |
hotwax: Big companies pay salaries, employs millions of Nigerians. Have visited Victoria Island before? See the way third Mainland bridge blocks every night due to white collar Job people going home? How much is your salary per annum. An above average trader makes more than million a day. How many people are well paid in those companies. I am a Nigerian remember? |
99cent: why don't you close shop for a month and see if you won't be replaced with the twinkle of an eye.Where do you lead Igbos in your own land? |
Lagos is Yorubaland, can I see which economic activity Yorubas are leading (more than Igbos) in Lagos? |
hotwax: List where you are leading. I think this is simple. Okija man. We want a list. You are busted. Na so so rumor. Lets your list.We lead in Indigenous enterprises (small and medium scale companies) and that is what drives the existence of most Lagosians, only few of which are employed by bluechips. All bluechips repatriate their returns, leaving nothing for Lagos |
Importation and its associated charges alone, which is almost exclusively Igbo, fetch Lagos tons of money |
hotwax: Where are igbo leading? Spare part selling? or kidnapping?Where are you leading, in your own land, except for motor park thuggery, armed robbery, gbomogbomo (kidnapping) and OPC savagery? |
