abbeylincon: only Kano state is more than the entire east in terms of population, so wot re we sayin? Why d braggin?
This is the biggest lie and most brazen bragging of the 21st century. And that is bedsides the FACT that in Kano and other northern states, they count cows, goats and sheep and humans. Little wonder they behave like those animals.

C-O-N-F-U-S-I-O-N! LAGOS WHERE SOJOURNERS DEPORT SOJOURNERS?
By admin on Aug 10, 2013 in Opinion

By Ike Chidolue

**Governors Tinubu and Fashola are all citizen of neighbouring states of Osun and Ekiti and technically should not claim Lagos. **deportee Uchenna’s great grand parents came to Lagos in the 1920s as produce sellers. His grandfather, his immediate father and himself were all born in Lagos. **yet Uchenna was arrested for selling on the street, detained in a secret detention camp and cargoed to a State he has never visited before.

Lagos was the former Capital of Nigeria and still the commercial capital of the Country. Being the former Federal capital, many Nigerians were posted, transferred or secured a jobs to work in the Federal civil services. Others set up business that was serving the increasing Lagos Population. According to the last census, about 85% of residents of Lagos are either visitors or people who choose to settle in the city through different generation.

The question Remains, Who actually owns Lagos. since Gov Fashola deported 72 Igbos from Lagos to Onitsha. The deportees had all been earlier detained in “warehouses” in Lagos and some in the neighbouring Ogun region for months before their deportation to Igboland. Many of the deportees are children and older people and some have disabilities.

From records the last two governors of Lagos state are not originally Lagosians, but the ‘real owners’ accommodated them to the extent of allowing them to vie for elective positions in the state.

PROFILE::

1] Bola Tinubu. *Status: Politician. *State of Origin: Osun state. *Father’s State of Birth : Osun state *Position: Former Lagos state Governor.

2] Babatunde Fashola *Status: Politician. *State of Origin: Ekiti state. *Father’s State of Birth : Ekiti state *Position: Current Lagos state Governor.

3] Uchenna Amadi *Status: Trader (Roadside). *State of Origin: Lagos state. *Father’s State of Birth : Lagos state *Position: Deported To Onitsha.

This is where the confusion comes in, in determining the actual owner of Lagos. Governors Tinubu and Fashola are all citizen of neighbouring states of Osun and Ekiti and technically should not claim Lagos. The deportee Uchenna’s great grand parents came to Lagos in the 1920s as produce sellers. His grandfather, his immediate father and himself were all born in Lagos, yet he was arrested for selling on the street, detained in a secret detention camp and cargoed to a State he has never visited before.

The question remains, who owns Lagos and who should have the right to deport a Nigerian that was born and lived his whole life in a particular state, irrespective of his offence, handicap or health situation? WHO owns Lagos?

PoliticsRe: Why Enugu Airport May Not Be Profitable by omongbatim:
Jingo-OAU:
Am very sure that 90percent of us here are novice when it comes to aviation business. As a Cabin Crew, I still know some details concerning the passenger traffic.

Those things some of us know are little compared to those things we do not know. Some of us just concluded prematurely that Igbos constitute over 50percent of air travellers in Nigeria, and I laugh. As a cabin crew, before a flight take off, we already have the flight manifest with us where passengers name are written.

Let me divert our attention a bit, Aminu Kano int'l airport in Kano carries more passengers than all the south east airports combined both local and international flights. Infact, most flights coming from Libya, lebanon, malaysia, egypt, saudi arabi, Dubai, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Georgia, and some other middle east countries are populated by the Hausas. All these flights are restricted to the nothern part of Nigeria, especially for those Hausa traders who import and export their goods. 95percent of Hausa traders ply Kano airport instead of Lagos for international flight. Infact, all the hajj and umrah operations concerning Hausas are done in Kano.

Let it be clear to most of us here that flights originating frm LOS to Kaduna, kano, Maiduguri, abuja, and some other less important airports are populated by Hausa traders. Nevertheless, in as much am not disputing the fact that Igbos do travel a lot. Their travellings only peak once in a year and dats during december alone. For the northerners, they travel everynow and then, but dey dnt stay permanently in foreign countries.

The reason no airports in southwest of Nigeria carries more passenger is cos of proximity to Lagos. It will definitely make no business sense for another airport to be situated in Ogun state. For instance, southwest of Nigeria is as big as Ghana, yet the whole of Ghana only have Kotoka int'l airport as d main functional airport. Its very much better for any passenger residing in ibadan, abeokuta, oshogbo, etc to drive straight to Lagos rather than boarding an unnecessary flight direct frm their source.

Moreso, some people even talk as if we are so rich in this country. How many nairalander has travelled out of this country not to talk of travelling with an aeroplane within Nigeria. And yet, some idiots would be beating their chest that their ancestors travelled more than others when in actual sense, they are limited to their erosion-driven region doing farming.
How many airlines are you a cabin crew in? Do you work for more than one airline at a time? Speak for your own airline which appears to be the one flying rabid Muslims to mecca and back. You cannot speak for KLM, Delta, Lufthansa, Air France, BA, etc that we know have more than 50% of their flyers as Igbos.

APC suffers setback in Imo as party chieftains resign

By CHIDI NKWOPARA

OWERRI — The fledgling fortunes of the unregistered All Progressives Congress, APC, suffered a setback weekend in Imo State, following the resignation of the state chairman of All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, Chief Vitalis Orikeze Ajmbe, and a host of his colleagues.

Disclosing his decision to newsmen, Chief Ajumbe explained that the yet-to-be-registered political party was dead on arrival in Imo.

He recalled that he loved ANPP with passion when he joined the party and even promised not to leave it, stressing that this was despite its sagging fortunes over the years.

Ajumbe said: “I loved ANPP with passion when I joined it. I promised not to leave it despite its fortunes, for any other political party because we enjoyed freedom of expression and internal democracy”.

He was, however, irked that some of the unpatriotic party men, who immensely benefitted from the party, bluntly refused or neglected to fund ANPP.

Ajumbe recalled with grief that as chairman of ANPP in the state, he personally bankrolled expenses of the nine cases prosecuted in the court by the party, pointing out that ANPP still owed him N22 million incurred in its interest.

On his feelings about the emerging APC, Chief Ajumbe said: “APC is a good party but the problem lies with its component parts. This is why I do no see any ray of light at the end of the tunnel in both the ANPP and APC. This is why I am constrained to leave both parties.”

Chief Ajmbe said as far as he was concerned, there was no APC in Imo State, adding that there couldn’t be APC in the state without ACN and ANPP.

Chief Ajumbe said he enjoyed cordial relationship with members of his former party during the nine years he was in charge.

On which party he would join after bowing out of APC and ANPP, Ajumbe said he would definitely not join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

On a tip-off, policemen at Agugu, led by their Divisional Police Officer, ASP Timothy Adedeji went to the scene. In the process, it was gathered that the crowd booed the policemen and attempted to attack them. This, as stated by a source, made the policemen to fire warning shots to scare them.

It was gathered that it was during the chaotic situation a bullet hit a man and was said to have died instantly.

The mob was said to have attacked the policemen injuring them in the process and took away their rifles.

Speaking on the incident, the police spokesman said; “The mob later regrouped and went to Agugu Division apparently to attack the station. The situation was brought under control through reinforcement.”

Additional information had it that the policemen later saw the stolen rifle and tried to retrieve it.

This was said to have been resisted by the mob which allegedly fired shots at the policemen.

According to reports, the stray bullet from the hoodlums hit a passer-by and the person also died. The situation has since been brought under control.

“The police command has gone into the matter. We are currently investigating the incident. If the policemen in question are found to have misused their firearms, we have disciplinary measures through which erring policemen are brought to book,” PPRO said.

Check out isuikwuato axis of the Enugu-PH freeway, it has a huge hausa/fulani cattle rearing and selling community living on free land given by Abia govt

When will Fasola give Igbos free land?
BusinessRe: Reagan Cement Bagging Company commences operation by omongbatim(op): 9:07pm On Jul 06, 2013
obua: Reagan cement cant produce bagged cement at Abia( economically) because Abia has no access to the sea or major river port. So its not a question of tussle with Gov Orji
There was a cement company at Ebonyi state which is even farther inland than Abia. It was run down typical Naija style. You do not need access to the sea to produce cement where you have the raw materials inland.
