CultureRe: Post your photos of Igbo village houses here by omongbatim: 6:40pm On Jul 05, 2013
Malawian: the first picture is definitely igboland. a good look at the assembled women will tell you so, however what is behind them is a palm wine bar.

the second picture is not igboland. first of all, you cant find igbo girls dancing in the nude, moreover, the high number of unclad kids certainly puts paid to such insinuation.

the third picture is absolutely not igboland as there are far too numerous "resource control" harts in the picture.
Exactly what I also said
CultureRe: Post your photos of Igbo village houses here by omongbatim: 6:26pm On Jul 05, 2013
odumchi: It's actually possible for that to be Abia. I recognize that masquerade as Okonko and the Igbo in the Ohafia-Aro-Edda area of Igboland wear bowler hats and dress somewhat similar to the Ibibio. However, I have never heard of "Agboji village".
There is indeed an Agboji village in Abriba
In addition to the bowler hat, take a look at their wrappers and shirts/suits. There is nothing Igbotic in them for a cultural event.

That will be cool. Igbos are Chiefs of Army and Air force. So Igbos will lead the coup and become the head of state grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

bigfrancis21:
All what you posted up there are complete fallacy!

The number one image is not Igboland or igbo people. The dressing of the women is not and never the way women living in the village dress. Those people look more like south-west women. Especially the woman in carton colour dressing. That is the typical SW dressing. Igbo women hardly dress that way.

Number 2 image Is a big fat lie. No group in modern Igbo land still dress half-unclad. Never. Not even the wawa people of Enugu.

Number three image is the Niger delta people! The gown + wrapper style of dressing for male elders is not and has never been an Igbo way of dressing. That way of dressing is found among the Niger Delta (especially the Ijaw, Ibibio, Efik, Urhobo).

Its very clear you're using these fake made-up images to fan your ego and promote your bias.
Hahahah! I asked him for the links and he would not provide them. He is FAKE

all4naija: Eve though those pictures are from Abiriba, they aren't enough buildings in there to prove they are three villages. Ten or more suburb buildings cannot make up three villages. Those three villages even make Abiriba looks more like a town than a village to me. If we are to go by your claim. Is Abiriba the only village in the East?
We have several pictures of Abriba villages many of them aerial. You have photos of other villages in Anambra, Abia Imo and Ebonyi. All on this thread. This is a fair representation of Igbo rurality

You posted three photos (two of which are fake) and want to claim they represent Igbo villages. Aren't you a sham?
CultureRe: Post your photos of Igbo village houses here by omongbatim: 4:45pm On Jul 05, 2013
all4naija: Abiriba is made up of three main villages: Ameke, Agboji, & Amogudu

SOURCE
Now we are arriving at something. Do you realize that aLL the early pictures of this thread posted by chris-od are from those Abriba villages?

What village is Agbji in Igboland? grin grin

Assuming they are Igboland villages (at least two of them are suspect), in your three photos, can you point to anyone with a mud house?

Hahahah! All those photos are from facebook.

Last week you posted photos of Igbo village in USA and wanted to pass them off as Igbo village in Nigeria. You got busted. Now you are scamming again.

Post the link okay!!!!!!
Until then, you are a big fat scammer and liar

Processing and bagging cement manually in 2013?
Lung cancer on my mind. Nigeria has little or no EHS guidelines.

Post the link where you got the photo from. What are you afraid of?

This was due to politics of Abia. PDP vs APGA

Abagworo: It could be Edda in Ebonyi State. They have the culture which has dwindled in recent years. Traditionally, it symbolizes metamorphosis of girls into marrying age.
That is not how he described the village. Read his post again, he said Abriba, Abia State

Of course he is lying.
CultureRe: Post your photos of Igbo village houses here by omongbatim:
This could be or not be in Igboland. But there is no house. What you see is a village street shed where someone sells some local gin or palm wine

This is not Igboland. More like Ibibio or some Niger Delta group. We do not wear bowler hats

^^^^^^Please provide the links to these photos. Thanks
How many mud houses are in there? How did you arrive at the statement that the houses are mud?

Dates when photos were takenhuh?? Where are your aerial views?

Note that no one here claims Igbos never had mud houses. But as of today, there are few if any mud houses in Anambra, Abia and Imo. You could find a few in Enugu and certainly more in Ebonyi
CultureRe: Post your photos of Igbo village houses here by omongbatim: 2:41pm On Jul 05, 2013
all4naija: I never said you are deluded nor stereotyping about Igbo villages. I am talking about the reality on ground. Those buildings are far from what is available in Eastern villages. That is a complete fact!

Please, post images of the villages you are talking about with evidences to prove them.

Thank you.
With all your rantings, one would have thought that by now you would have flooded this thread with photos of mud houses from villages in Igboland, Nigeria. What is stopping you from doing so? Could it be that you have searched far and wide and cannot find any?

The political bickering between Gov Orji and this man caused him to move the site of his cement company from Abia to Calabar. But as he promised 60% of his junior workers are Abians. The rest are Cross Riverians.

WHO THEN IS OCHIAGHA REAGAN UFOMBA?
A dedicated family man, RJ is a humble and very caring person. He would give the shirt off his back for someone who really is in need for it. Articulate and deeply religious, Reagan received his early upbringing from his devout Catholic parents. He eventually attended Immaculate Conception Seminary, Ahiaeke Umuahia. He later read Secretarial Studies at the Federal Polytechnic Mubi; Law at the Lagos State University (LASU) and at the Federal College of Education Technical Akoka, he studied Public Administration. He also read History & International Relations at Lagos State University, before proceeding to the prestigious Harvard Business School, Boston USA to study Global Negotiation. Not one to drop a chance at learning something new, he is presently studying Peace & Conflict Resolution at the National Open University of Nigeria.

Ochiagha, as his people fondly call him, went through the rough and tumble paths of life as would anyone. However, his doggedness and steadfastness saw him growing from a young graduate of Federal Polytechnic, Mubi to working as a freelance writer, drycleaner, poultry farmer, medical laboratory proprietor, and with NICOHO, the Lebanese construction firm that built the old Federal Secretariat Abuja. Reagan soon after became one of the biggest cement distributors for Dangote Industries, distributing a minimum of 200 cement trucks every month under a guaranty scheme with a loan from UBA. He is the Chairman/CEO of 1.2million metric tons capacity Reagan Cement plant in Calabar. Reagan was one of the first merchants to import and distribute the rapid HIV Testing Kit and SIM card backup in Nigeria. An innovative business thinker Ufomba was given a license to import 500,000metric tons of cement in 2008 by the FGN; and another license to set-up a 2million metric tons capacity cement manufacturing plant in Arochukwu, Abia State. He later served in a federal government committee on the future of cement industry in Nigeria. Alhaji Aliko Dangote has this to say of Ochiagha’s exploits in the cement business “….I am certainly not surprised at this breakthrough given the highest level of your commitment and support to the cement industry, I am very proud of this achievement.”

What a scandal! Kerry Washington has married to football player Nnamdi Asomugha, according to reports.

Quel Scandale! Kerry Washington is married. Multiple websites are reporting that the 36-year-old "Scandal" star got hitched to San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on June 24 in Blaine County, Idaho.

Gossip website TerezOwens.com was the first to break the news Tuesday, writing that they had "just received news" of Washington and Asomugha's secret nuptials.

E! Online and Us Weekly subsequently confirmed the marriage, with the latter citing records that show Washington and Asomugha filed for a marriage license in Idaho. Washington's parents reportedly served as witnesses.

"It has been recorded in the Blaine County clerk's office that Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have been married on the 24th of June in the town of Hailey, Idaho," a representative for the clerk's office told Us Weekly.

The notoriously private actress and football player have reportedly been dating for one year, since summer 2012. This is the first marriage for Washington, who was previously engaged to actor David Moscow in 2007.

Representatives for both Washington and Asomugha declined to comment to HuffPost Celeb.

Rivers State where Igbos lost their property is in the south. Moreover there is so much animosity against Igbos in SW that they might be made to lose their property this time.

Sibrah: Then oil will be available for cheap and it will turn out to be the most influential factor of industrialization. As for the Southern Nigeria based Igbos preparing to go back to SE, i see no threat to their lives / property.
How will there not be threat to Igbo property outside Igboland if Nigeria were to break up? Have you heard of the abandoned-property saga in River State?
