Thanks bro smiley . Just passing by actually. Life has been busy and it has been pretty difficult stay up to date with the NGX. Trump set the Critical Minerals sector on fire last year. Exploiting it required my full attention.

Could Tantalizer pull an Oando or Ellah Lake? I was going to give them until Q1 '26 (9mths) ....... but you never know... huh

No epistle from me on this one..........everyone should do their own research. Read, understand and arrange the puzzles.

Not a recommendation to buy or sell.
Not going into details or verifying figures so please fact-check for yourself.

Tantalizers Group comprises - QSR (Tantalizers that we all know) + Fisheries (Blue Economy) + Entertainment (Tantainment Ltd).
Based on company released valuation, Tantainment was worth N30B. They sold 10% of Tantainment Ltd to RGM materials for a discounted sum of N2B. For argument sake, let's say actual worth is N20B based on this sale. Management could well have over-valued the subsidiary.

Tantalizers Group = QSR (N??) + Fisheries (N??) + Entertainment (N20B)

Based on the closing price of N5.40k and OS of 5B:

N27B = QSR (N??) + Fisheries (N??) + Entertainment (N20B)

QSR + Fisheries = N7B

The QSR has been an underperformer for years so the Fisheries may be the one to do the heavy lifting in any valuation re-discovery in 2026. IF and a big IF the company is able to achieve their revenue projections for 2026, the market MAY reward this company handsomely. If and if Tantainment Ltd was actually conservatively valued at N20B or it was actually worth N30B, then we may see market repricing this stock further in 2026.

Not a recommendation to buy or sell. Please do your own research.

I don't know about buying a stock and going to sleep o. If it's to make money and get out, 2025 is Japaul's year in my opinion.

IF they can successfully complete their gold exploration activities, commence refinery operations (or at least be close to starting it).
They will be back to positive equity off the back of the recently concluded placement.

SP catalysts to look out for:
* Commencement of their N25B dredging contract in the Lekki/Ikoyi axis. This remains their major source of revenue for now.
* Successful completion of their diamond drilling program that could lead to a gold discovery and increase their reserve.
* Completion of their gold processing plant, refinery and other acquisitions.
* Ramping up of their mining business.
* Bonus is if private placement was to institutional or foreign investors. I don't think so though. The new shares represent 57% of the issued share capital.

These are all FA events but not what most here are familiar with. Same situation with Oando.

Disclaimer - This is not a recommendation to buy or sell Japaul. I have been wrong many times before.
Omooloriredade:
I think it's in line with international standards. It takes about two years from feasibility studies (PFS and DFS) for a mine to be fully ready for production. An important factor to consider is the availability of capital sha. The first few years is spent building the infrastructure that will support the mine - camp for workers, establishing transport channels - mine to refinery or port, power and water solutions etc. Pretty sure you should be able to see the camp from google earth if you have the coordinates.

I believe Japaul will be starting with a pilot plant to get the cash coming in first. Then they will scale up with time. Point to note though, Japaul is making an entry into this space via acquisition of companies with some existing infrastructure.

The one you are referring to is artisanal mining which is what is prevalent in Nigeria. Dig up the "ore", do basic processing and sell off (usually below actual value). I have seen media coverage of some of these miners.
My timeline was a bit off. cheesy

Gold has been on a tear. Pour that first gold Japaulgold. Let's see you do it.

Good afternoon house.

I made an enquiry regarding my eligibility for CHAMS RI, which I later got to know I am eligible but the only issue I have now is how to apply.

I got a form from them which I was to fill but it's not going through.

Below is the screenshot of the form.
Your query is not clear but if you are unsure of how the form is to be completed, you can visit any of the 70 stockbrokers listed on the application form. They will guide you and give you a fund transfer form with their account details pre-filled so you only need to follow the instructions for completing the form and pay at the bank.

Alternatively, you can submit an electronic application. You'll still need the guidance of the stockbrokers listed on the form to complete the application especially payment/fund transfer to their account.

By the way, most of the stockbrokers mentioned on NSEMPA are on that list including Morgan Capital, Investment One, Atlas, Afrinvest ati bebelo so it's not as complicated as you think.

Not a recommendation to buy or sell.

It doesnt make financial sense to buy just the right at N1 or N2 plus right price as that is already above the current market value of the share itself.
Exactly!!! Now you're talking. You see why previous discussions on this matter reeks of ignorance now?

Also, take note of the process non-shareholders have to take to partake in the RI of a company. You enlist the help of your broker because we don't have OTC access and it's a "Primary" offer not Secondary.

Well, well well, it's primarily because it's a Primary offer grin not because of OTC access.

Fred2020:
Why will he sell you the right at N1 when rights price is N1.7? grin

You want him to pay N0.7 on your behalf
Jeez!!! I have been trying to ignore the discussions on Chams RI for days now but mehn! The ignorance here can be mind-boggling. cheesy grin
The problem is that some have not taken time to understand the workings of the market. For example....Who are the stakeholders? What does one entity do? You see people will have an issue with the Registrar or CSCS and be blaming Broker ...haha

Selling your Rights means relinquishing your exclusive right to buy shares of Chams at the offer price of N1.70 as an existing shareholder.

If you trade your Rights, you simply sold your "right" or "priviledge". No shares are involved. Buyer now needs to pay the N1.70 offer price having acquired your Rights.

Eg It will cost Iya N1 + N1.70 = N2.70 to acquire shares in Chams.

I assume Iya thinks the SP on the NGX will be well north of N2.70 by the time the offer closes otherwise, Iya might not know what they are doing either. Apologies if you find this insulting.

Those pricing the Rights at N2 or talking about selling their rights at same price clearly have no clue either. There is a reason investors that know what they are doing are not bidding to buy at that price on the floor......the bid on the heads (main shares) not withstanding.

Ideally, if you are an existing shareholder and you'd like to hold for medium to long term but don't intend to take up your rights, you should absolutely be selling the equivalent quantity of shares you qualify for on the floor. Part of the proceeds can then be used to take up your rights. Your holding remains the same with some spare change.

The scenario above changes if you are trading Chams or whatever other strategies you might have.

Disclaimer - I am no financial adviser so my post could be highly misleading. Please consult your financial adviser for advice. Not a recommendation to buy or sell.

Please, do you have any info on the acquired fish trawlers they were expected to take delivery of in May this year?

It will definitely jump start the northward movement of the SP.
No info on the status of the fish trawlers. We will probably hear something about them this side of Christmas.

They need to conclude the acquisition of DanBethel and like you mentioned, confirm the status of the trawlers.

Next announcement or quarterly should provide more information......hopefully.

I didn’t listen to the AGM—I’ll do so later. But my question is: are these other guys, like JideFlash and KarlTom, stupid for reporting that the resolution vote happened today? Or is it now the new normal for a conversion that was supposedly done long ago—according to you—to just be getting a resolution today from EllahLakes? The way you defend stocks sometimes is honestly funny. But hey, keep doing you. grin grin grin
* A Director's loan to equity conversion WAS approved and has been converted to equity (N3.1B to 1.1B shares). Please refer notes 8 & 9 in below link. Case closed.

https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/42687_ELLAH_LAKES_PLC.-RESOLUTIONS_PASSED_AT_THE_AGM_HELD_ON_05_DECEMBER_2024_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_DECEMBER_2024.pdf

* As explained in the EGM, OPEX has continuously been funded by some directors and shareholders so there's been a build up of "directors loan" since the last conversion was concluded.

* The loan figure was c. N2.1B as at Q2 25 (Btw, for some that don't even know, current quarter ends July 31).

https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/44173_ELLAH_LAKES_PLC.-_QUARTER_3_-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2025_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_MAY_2025.pdf

* As at the EGM and expectedly, loan figure has increased from N2.1B to N3+ and will likely shoot past N4B according to the CEO.

* AGAIN, the EGM was to approve the conversion of these new loans to equity following normal regulatory procedure. No issues here.

https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/44606_ELLAH_LAKES_PLC.-RESOLUTIONS_PASSED_AT_THE_EGM_HELD_ON_25_JULY_2025_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_JULY_2025.pdf

What is yet to be confirmed.

* Conversion price - Will they use same N2.80 rate and hope they can get that past SEC? I couldn't tell ya but that will be preposterous. shocked shocked

* Ideally and by international standards, N2.80 will not fly because the reference price considered will not be the SP when the loan was advanced but when the conversion to equity was approved. So in this case, a discount to the closing SP when the approval was granted. The last conversion was c. 11% discount to the closing SP at the time.

* At what rate will the new N250B capital be raised?

Ellah’s journey on NSEMPA these past few weeks or months:
• Ellah was an audio farm until it was not.
• Ellah is now a small garden. Wait till you find out it’s not a show stopper.
• Directors’ loans were converted to equity because Ellah couldn’t repay them.
• Directors’ will flood the market with the shares so they could recover their funds until they did not.
• Ellah won’t pass N4 until is got to N5. Then offers are coming at N5 for sure until it got to N7.
• CEO wants to raise money, steal it then japa. Both the thought process and conclusion are ridiculous. @Street that was an emotion-laden post. Too much energy, passion and aggression. You could even be sued for libel cheesy

ALL false, misleading, fallacious and irrational considering the facts.

I often remind myself and always tell my friends never to react through emotions as you are likely to not make the best decisions and say or do something embarassing. Stop, think, analyse the situation then decide on what to do. This is applicable in all facets of life. You’re most likely going to get a better outcome than from an emotional outburst.

• Before you respond to that email or text message. Think and think again.
• Before to respond to your partner or parents, think and think again.
• Before you react to poor service or bad attitude, think and think again.
• When in a difficult situation, don’t act impulsively. Think and think again.

Develop critical thinking and analysis. Learn to put together a series of logical or rational thoughts and derive your conclusions or judgement from them.

Where there are unknowns, leave room for benefit of doubt and mitigate risks. It is what a wise person would do.

A few points I believe the rest of the market knows and consider as facts:

- Details of director loans is in the audited report.
- Management is not REALLY interested in retail buying shares. They have been busy with equity conversions at every opportunity. All facts point to this.
- Directors are converting portion of their salaries to shares.
- They have also created an opportunity for themselves to acquire more cheap shares by seeking approval to convert fresh loans to equity up till EGM date (future dated loans up to 25th July 2025).
- Management has signified intention to ACQUIRE another entity NOT to be acquired themselves. What is ambiguous about this? Why do people go an extra length to confuse themselves?
- According to the Arise TV interview, there were looking to acquire on terms that will be favourable and aligned with their growth strategy.
- Ellah is looking to raise UP TO N250B via several means and at times to be determined by the board. It is expected that this will generate questions.

Questions:
- Why would a small company like Ellah want to raise that much?
- How do they intend to achieve this?
- Do they have sophisticated investors, foreign portfolio investors or venture capitalists waiting in the wings?
- What would they do with the money?
- How about the dilution to the register or impact on share structure? Will they be looking to address this in the future via a share reconstruction or what?

Management did indicate they were in discussions to acquire an entity.
- How big is this entity?
- Is that what the N250B would be used for?
- Who are the potential targets?
- Can this be likened to acquisitions that eventuated in the past eg STB vs UBA?

Pure Speculation territory now as I am also left scratching my head on what the N250B would be used for:

Wilmar international is now the sole owner of PZ Wilmar after PZ divested their 50% holding of the later for $70M (c. N105B) consideration. 100% of PZ Wilmar is about N210B. Could this be the target entity?

Wilmar’s plan post exit of PZ Cussons:
“However, we recognise the importance of having strong local partnerships in the markets where we operate and will be looking for a suitable local partner for the business.”

ALL in my opinion. smiley I could be sincerely wrong.
Just passing by wink

FEEDBACK NOTED

Thank you for your feedback – it’s truly appreciated.

Please rest assured that all your concerns are being addressed. Any issues you've encountered during your engagement with Ione are being corrected.

Trust me, improvements are already underway across all services offered by Ione.
We're implementing changes that go beyond your expectations.

Also, whenever you have a concern and reach out to customer care, please do reach out to me directly as well. Sometimes, a quick chat with me can resolve your issue faster — and I’m sure some of our clients on this thread can confirm this.

Making a phone call can also help get you a quicker response.

Please note that some services you mentioned, such as opting out of DCS, are managed by CSCS Plc. Many delays experienced often stem from their end. Additionally, some processes require verification and validation of data provided through portals (like BVN and NIN), which can also lead to delays.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

And if you’ve stepped away, we’d love to have you back. We deeply value all our customers — both new and existing.

Make una help my ministry o! ejor. I beg. biko
Well done! There's definitely a lot to do in terms of service improvements.

Logging in to your platform is a daily gamble. You just don't know if it will be successful or not. You go clear cache tire, change browser etc before you can get in. Haba! Na only you waka come? Never happened with iTrade before.

Ideally, one should not have to contact you or any other special individual to get anything done. That is already an escalation for failed, delayed service or unreliability of service delivery. If an email is sent to Customer service email as displayed on your website, it should be actioned. It is as simple as that. That is how to tell if an organisation is well structured and functioning well.

Hopefully, things improve for your customers after the upgrades are completed. It's not all gloom and doom though. Good luck.

Wondering.. will this CGT thing apply to commercial papers and Treasury bills as well? Can anyone put me through?
No! Only when you sell an asset. If you wait for returns (income) in commercial papers, TBs and even stocks (dividend) CGT shouldn't apply. Usually, returns are less witholding tax. Ideally, you should still pay tax on ALL your income though less any tax-free thresholds and other incomes already taxed.

BUT if you buy TB and later decide to liquidate it, that's a CGT event (because you sold to realise a gain on your invested capital).

This is my understanding. Please fact check or consult your accountant.

By the way, there is PZ Wilmar and there is Wilmar International. PZ Cussons sold their stake in PZ Wilmar. Wilmar International now owns PZ Wilmar 100% but operates them as distinct entities. Wilmar Int operates two JV oil palm plantation in Nigeria where they hold the majority stake and PZ Wilmar holds a minority stake. So selling 100% of PZ Wilmar to Ellah implies they will still hold majority stake in those farms.

My recent realization is that nobody truly knows anything for sure — it’s all speculation. Anyone can make a case for or against a stock, but that doesn't change the facts, or the lack thereof. All stocks are inherently risky. Every single one. The sources of risk may differ, and even the price at which a stock is bought introduces risk.

Almost everyone claims they're helping out newbies, even when they're no different themselves. So I suggest not bothering to fiercely defend or attack a stock — it's rarely worth the stress, unless you genuinely enjoy going back and forth in arguments.

Whatever is going to happen tomorrow — especially things beyond our control — will happen regardless. Arguing all day won’t change that. The most important thing is to always manage and mitigate risk as much as possible. cool

Last opportunity for ridiculous prices is now.
We are expecting upwards movement from today.
For your sake, I really do hope it goes as expected. Audited FY 24 result is no catalyst for SP in my opinion. I suggest you temper your expectations. smiley

Maybe fortunes will improve in 2025 quarterlies to light a rocket under the SP or a left field announcement could do the trick.

I could be wrong.

Genuine question: Why do you think C&I leasing result will be spectacular? Are you referring to the audited FY 24 result or the Q1 25?

This makes the tax credit meaningful if so.
Tax credit explained in Press release. It's from the reversal of corporate income tax provisions from prior years.

Elijah lakes riding on the frenzy of okomu and PRESCO is a wonder to behold
In my humble opinion only, that's just one piece of the puzzle. The stars have been aligning but not everyone can spot them.

Ellah Lakes is primed for success. Fundamentals are not always about P/L especially for early stage growth stocks. You gotta watch out for the green shoots and pounce while the market is not yet excited about it. Identify value before others see it.

High risk vs high reward end of the market spectrum.

The pipeline vandalism was reported, especially during the Fubara-Wike crisis in Rivers State.
Oh! I must have missed it. Probably didn't think it would affect Oando. smiley

Succinct
Oando H1 result will definitely be massive considering the resumption of the operations on those pipelines and some workover activities on NAOC assets.
Renaissance already indicated 40% increment on production on SPDC asset they acquired. I want to believe Oando will have more if they are transparent enough. I personally work on some of those fields.
Give or Take, Oando will definitely repeat last year rally in near future.
Ah! I knew you had to be an industry insider to know about the vandalism. It wasn't reported by mainstream media, was it?
