Justin Drew Bieber, Canadian singer and songwriter has stated that he loves Jesus deep down but that he will not go to church because Christians leave very bad taste in people. In his recent interview with Complex Magazine, the 21-year-old ‘baby’ crooner, acknowledged that he has Christian friends who are cool, but Christians are ‘overly pushy with every subject, overly churchy, too religious.’ “I do not have to attend church services to be a Christian. Christians leave such a bad taste in people’s mouths, even myself, Bieber quipped. “I was like, I’m not gonna go to church. I had these church friends and I was like, you guys are cool, I like you guys, but I’m not going to church. “Then it was the same thing of, just because you went to a weird church before doesn’t mean that this is weird. It doesn’t make you a Christian just by going to church. “I think that going to church is fellowship, it’s relationship, it’s what we’re here on earth to do, to have this connection that you feel there’s no insecurities. I think that’s where we need to be. The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, has said that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) within the last six months has lost over 435 of its men and officers. The IGP, while speaking at a session held with members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and traditional rulers during his one day working visit to Osogbo, Osun State on Monday, disclosed this. He called on traditional rulers in the state to assist police in its work. He said the space was too big for the police alone and stressed the need for community policing, emphasizing the major role being played by the traditional rulers in maintaining security of lives and property in their domain and urged them to do more in exposing criminals. Osun State governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, receiving the IGP who paid him a courtesy visit in Osogbo, he said that the two security agencies must work together in the interest of Nigeria’s democracy. Aslo, the governor suggested solutions to some of the security challenges facing the country. He, however, demanded for more efficient collaborations between the NPF and the Department of the State Services, (DSS). Aregbesola also called on the IGP to provide an additional six Area Commands of police in the state to make nine Police Area Commands, stressing that the synergy was needed by the agencies for them to be able to effectively penetrate the ranks of the insurgents and kidnappers and bring their activities to a halt. The IGP, in his remarks, commended the governor for providing police in the state with equipment that will make them discharge their duties effectively and efficiently to observe law and order. http://dailypost.ng/2015/09/29/igp-says-police-lost-435-officers-in-last-6-months/
