1. Get the account number of Stanbic IBTC MMF collection account. You can get it from your bank. It is also part of the document given to you if you open your MMF accoun in a branch/offline.

2. Make your normal fund transfer to the account. It could be from the banking, throughout your internet banking or your mobile app. For me I do not (USSD) so I won't recommend it. Make sure this transfer is done before 12:00pm. It will reflect in your account later that evening. If not the it will reflect the next day.

3. State clearly in the Narration/Remark/ Reason for payment column : your Stanbic IBTC MMF Account number and your name.

4. With the above, you will only be charged N53 & N7.5 VAT. Nothing more.

Very helpful.
Thank you.

It is just me or Stanbic MMF is not as competitive as before. Historically their interest rates are significantly lower compared to their competitors.

In my books FBNQ MMF seems to be doing far better than them in all aspects.

The link to check their current interest rate is not working, are they trying to hide it lol.

If they are tired, I am not tired of moving.

How do you top up your Stanbic MMF without being charged?
They charge me whenever I added funds through the app

I opened with Morgan Capital and the minimum to start trading was N5,050.00

After that, you can even test the waters by buying shares worth 50 Naira or even less, like 2 units of zenith bank and 2 units of First bank shares

Can the account opening be done fully online?

I'm looking at the fundamentals.

For now, SAVE is selling at a Price-Book Ratio of 0.5x compared to the US Airlines industry average of 0.8x. If it gets to the level of industry average, I'd begin to suspect saturation. However, I would still look at its closest competitors to make a final decision.

Furthermore, SAVE's PE ratio is 4.7x which less than the industry average of 7.9x, so it's still selling below its fair value.

It also has a beta of 0.37 making it very less volatile, although it's a double-edged sword.

Southwest (LUV) to me is getting crowded so I would not buy more for now as much as SAVE. It's TTM PE ratio is 8.59 for a beta of 1.41. So, it's fundamentally selling at a higher price than SAVE even with a bigger beta. It's P/B ratio is also 1.9x which means it's selling at a premium and above the industry average.

I also consider LUV and SPIRIT to be substitutes since they are both low-cost carriers. Maybe its time for some portfolio rebalancing.

These technologies ....still have much to learn.
I really appreciate your knowledgeable response.
Thanks

I’m doing +20% on DAL already even after buying more twice at a higher price.

My Spirit (SAVE) is up +60% and I think the market isn’t too overcrowded yet.

When do you think SAVE may get saturated?
A guess is ok. Testing my learning potential

I find this very informative. Thanks so much. I just joined Robinhood and I've made my first trade. I've downloaded TD Ameritrade but haven't registered. Now I know that I have to say that I'm an "experienced trader" just to have access to more trading options.

I tried to register with Robinhood but it requires social security number. Did you put yours?

If you bought stock and never sold it since buying on the app, you have to pay zero in taxes on them. If you have sold, and held it for less than a year (I'm assuming you haven't held shares of stock on Robinhood for >1 yr), it gets taxed exactly like job wages

Sorry to bother you again.
Robinhood demands ssn for id verification. Did you supplied yours when you registered?

You can try Everdon BDC. I reside in Abuja and they are located in Lagos. I have never been to their office before and I have used then severally in the last 1 year.

Contact them using the details on their website everdonbdc.com and once you complete your kyc documentation all you need to do is credit their naira Account and they will credit your dorm account with the dollars.

Buy Eurobond funds, FG bond or mmf.

There is a rumour of currency devaluation in the next 4 weeks, Eurobond Fund won't be a bad idea

Or buy shares of companies who earn in dollars eg Seplat, Airtel, Dangote cement earns in dollars from his branches in other African countries

With this wave of devaluation, I know it's better to liquidate my MMF and open eurobond or dollar fund.
But I am still confused on how to fund it.
I called someone at stanbic, her explanation was to open a domiciliary account, then get a bureau de change agent to fund it. Unfortunately I reside outside naija and doesn't have such contact.

What should be my best move?

I must thank you for your immense contributions. Very rich and powerful.

I joined the banking industry in the year 2012 where I met a colleague who joined from a bigger bank, although I joined as a graduate trainee while he joined as very senior officer.

One blessed day I engaged him in a talk on how we could have side hustle added to our salary,he said everything boils down to Capital for which he had none due to the project he had at hand. I quickly asked like how much are we looking at and he said at least a million naira. And lo and behold,I had just N360,000 as a fresh graduate. He requested I bring the cash and that was how we started,he showed me how to draft the agreement and how to recover funds from customers.

The first cash we gave out happened to be my money and the interest was shared on a 60/40 basis but as time went on,I was reinvesting my interest and the money kept coming.

2016, I resigned my appointment, because the stress was getting out of control and my mentor had already left to join another bank being a professional and very intelligent at his work.

That was how it has been ever since 2012 and currently, i have very solid customers base through referral that I can transact business without going to their offices or even meeting them. To further preserve my capital, I was able to secure about four landed properties in Abuja one in my village.

The loan business is very lucrative,as I have introduced my wife into it and my younger brother is coming on board.
Caveat is; get a mentor and have a targeted market and u will succeed. Do not listen to people as many will talk u down.

Funny enough no one has ever owed me since over 7years.

Knowing that no one has defaulted till now, what strategies do you have in place to recover your funds should someone defaults?
What form(s) of collateral do you accept?
For someone who is not and has never been in banking sector, how do I start getting customers?
Thanks

Type your names on this site first and see if anything comes up.

https://sec.gov.ng/non-mandated/

Follow the instructions on the return page if you got a hit.

Very helpful but the site says "the 28th February 2018 deadline will see the end of free registration of e-dividend, being bank-rolled by the Commission since the inception of the exercise in November, 2015."

Are they (banks) still accepting the forms?
If yes, do you think they will accept it if someone goes on my behalf?
Thanks.

GURUS IN THE HOUSE PLEASE HELP ME IN THIS ANALYSIS.
My brother bought 3bedroom apartments from Federal Mortgage Bank at 9.2m. 10% equity paid leaving a balance of 8.280m. This will be deducted from his salary starting from January next year. He has 20yrs left in the service.
The young man is totally confused now.
First, he is planning to invest 4m in Tb, roll it over for 3yrs or 4, use whatever will come out, add it to whatever must have been deducted from his salary for the same period and pay off the loan.
Second, he is planning to drop the 4m and subsequent savings with FMBN to reduce the balance as well as what will be deducted from his salary.
9.2m with mortgage calculator gave me 14.2m @ #711,840 a yr for 20yrs and 12.5m @ #838,452 a yr for 15yrs.
Should he drops the money with FMBN to reduce what will be deducted from his salary or he should rather invest the money in Tb, roll it over and add to what will deducted at the end of 3 to 4 yrs and pay off the loan?

You did well by getting the estimated annual payment using the mortgage calculator.
Personally I will suggest to him to get the actual interest rate on the loan and additional costs of servicing the loan if any.
Sum up the interest and any other associated costs to arrive at total cost per month (or per year)
Then estimate his profit from TB or bonds using the current market rates.
Compare the estimated proceeds and the total cost per annum.
Then take your decision.

If you decide to put the money to the mortgage bank, make sure it goes to principal only.

Hello Tbillers, abeg help me with latest rate Ecobank gave me 11.25% on 9.5m on Friday it’s been back and forth since 2weeks negotiating like Oshodi market and I feel my account officer want to take advantage of me because I’m not in the country advising me to continue with fixed deposit @ 9%. I plan to mail head office tomorrow advice pls

My opinion, considering where you are (far far away), 11.25% is fair if the duration is within 180 days. The more you wait the more you loose money (supposed earnings).
It is still better if the tenor is beyond 180 days and you don't have any other investment alternative.
To be less dependent on account officers, consider MMF. You can subscribe or redeem your investment at your own time. If tb didn't go, mmf must go.
That's freedom.

Thanks for the input. I'm not in Nigeria, if I were i would have gone to the bank, do the TBills, and request another account officer before her very eyes. Waiting for her to help me get a new ATM card, before I tell her I'm insisting on TBills. If I tell her before she gets it, she may backpedal.

The strategy I normally used on my account officer is "TIP". I give him tip after every successful TB. With that, he is always willing to help.
So even if she (your acct officer) hesitates or becomes unfriendly but finally did it, find her something and she will become loyal.
