FoodRe: Please How Do I Make My Beans To Prepare Much Faster by one4GOD(f): 7:53am On Nov 03, 2016
The best, easiest and quickest way to prepare beans is with pressure pot. If you try it once you wont eat beans cooked differently again. within 30mins everything about your beans is settled. Pressure pots are now affordable and to get the best buy go to ebute ero market in lagos island and I can tell, you will get the best bargain. Thank me later.

In a series from the Atlantic, a Nigerian girl named Toluse Akinlabi talks about her experience living as the only black person in her community in Ireland. Some people who had the misconception that Africans live on trees were often shocked to find out she could speak English fluently.

Read her below

Toluse also kept a blog during her year living and studying in Beijing (that’s her pictured below on the Great Wall).

BusinessRe: CBN New Policy On Seized ATM Cards by one4GOD(f): 8:37am On Aug 19, 2016
But this has been on for more than a year now, its not a new policy.

MaBuk:
I just left wema bank now.

The ATM seized my card after a while I thought it would come out but it did not so I went to the banking hall to complain.

Thank God it is a Wema card I use on a wema ATM.

I was asked if was wema and I said yes, the Lady told me she has to get permission from her boss to either release it or not. I asked her what she mean by that she said CBN has directed that ATM cards seized by the machine should not be released anymore, except the ones by the card.

The card owner is expected to go to his bank and request for a new card.

I just want to inform NL people to avoid using different ATM for different bank.

Have a good evening!
PoliticsRe: "Operation No Shanties In Lagos" Kicks Off In Ikeja (photos) by one4GOD(f): 8:44am On Aug 12, 2016
ebosie11:
As part of the measures to rid the state of criminality, Governor Ambode has ordered the demolition of all shanties in the state which serve as hideouts for criminals and miscreants. In this light, the Lagos Environmental Task Force and Health officers have begun the demolition of shanties in major roads and streets in various parts of the state.

The directive tagged “Operation No Shanties in Lagos” is part of the measures aimed at reducing criminality in the state. The operation will also include roadside food sellers who do not comply with both the environmental and public health laws.

BusinessRe: Why Will Konga Now Charge Full Seperate Delivery Fees On Multiple Items? by one4GOD(f): 7:19am On Jun 09, 2016
bongolistik:
Do you believe that Konga now knows nothing again about consolidation of multiple items before delivery as they now charge full and separate delivery fees on each of the multiple items you buy on their site?

Imagine I recently wanted to buy 3 separate items from Konga on a single purchase; one is phone battery for N3,800 the other is a pair of jean trouser for N3,500 and the third is USB data cable for N700 and when I was about to check out, I noticed that Konga has added N1,000 each on the items as delivery fee, totalling N3,000 for the delivery charges and that was how I quickly terminated the order.

It seems Konga are failing to realise that they have competitors.

We are enduring the fact that they have recently hiked delivery fees on their items and then come again to notice this recent development.

It's now hightime person began to boycott shopping from Konga if they continue this way.

They even failed to realise that at times people shop for multiple items just because of leverage on delivery fees, but they have now defeated that aim by charging full seperate fees to deliver multiple items made on single purchase.

Would you have gone ahead with the purchase if you were in my shoes?

Source: http://highteknology.com/2016/06/konga-is-losing-it-all-by-doing-this-on.html
Thanks for the info I thought I was the only one. Mine was with Jumia they are doing same and sometimes you realize that the delivery charge is even higher than the cost of item bought. I had to engage their delivery men recently and I was not satisfied with the explanation that delivery is charged based on weight and I know this was not so at the beginning. So henceforth I wait until I have the time and I will go to Balogun market to get some of the items I need. For now, no online shopping cool

FashionRe: Woe Unto Jergens!!!! by one4GOD(f): 7:46am On Apr 08, 2016
Hello OP: JERGENS generally is to repair wrinkled area of the skin and they come in different forms. I for one use JERGENS for part of my body that rub together when u walk, such as between may legs and also under arms. For this purpose I use the JERGENS ultra healing. In your case you probably got the JERGENS with Shea butter which causes you to darken the more. I will suggest you check the content of the JERGENS you bought and ensure it doesn't contain Shea butter if it does then it is not ideal for you if you want a lighten skin. Also note the difference between JERGENS & Jergens (Go and find out the reason for this). I do hope you understand.
thank.

FoodRe: 20 Amazing Health Benefits Of Ginger by one4GOD(f): 8:20am On Mar 30, 2016
Ginger is a great herbal root which if well prepared you will enjoy the full benefits as listed by the OP. This is how to bring the best out of this wonderful root from nature:

I Peel about two medium size ginger, ginger and turmeric. Wash them and pound with any kind of mortar scoop into a pot and add water and bring to boil. Let it cool off and u sieve into your cup and add either sugar or natural honey. For a better result I use natural honey but in absence of honey u can add a little sugar. usually I take this at night before I go to sleep so that I brush off in morning before going out so to avoid people perceiving the smell of ginger which turns people off. One significant discovery is that you will hardly fall sick and always have your bowels free and your system detox. Try this and thank me later.
HealthRe: How The Internet Helped Restore My Baby's Health by one4GOD(f): 9:32am On Sep 17, 2015
libertyfather:
Internet happens to be the best place to find cure to all ailments very effective than your doctor's quote me if I'm wrong, before you go to the doctor make your search to aide the doctor as well, some years back When my baby felt sick I took her to the doctor only for him to be prescribing some drugs but during that process I told him my findings and he was surprise cancel the first prescription and re-prescribe... learn from the op search before proceeding to the hospital for quick result
To the OP i say a very big congratulation. And this is to buttress the fact that most doctors we have in our hospitals in naija are nothing but incompetent irrespective of where the hospital is located its all packaging. I almost lost my husband in the hands of quacks who call themselves doctors. How can someone go to hospital and without running a test you go ahead to administer drugs and even when tests are carried out u dont take time to know what the patient is alergic to or even how he may react to the drug based on the composition of such drug. Like i said twice this has happened to my husband and we have come to a conclusion that we will not visit naija hospitals again until we travel abroad out (in pipeline) eventhough the illness is there but we will manage it till then. The last one that happened was when my husband was feeling terrible back pain and he went to hospital in Victoria Island and doctor gave him drugs without running a test and advised maybe the sitting/lifting position. Three days after taking the drugs the condition grew worst and he repeated the visit and they gave him another drug all these he was still been charged to pay ooo. Still the drugs didnt work. On the third visit which was on appointment with a so-called specialist who ddnt do anything other than to tell him how to sit and how to lift thing; he was charged even higher this time. After about 5days no improvement, my husband decided to google the whole symtoms and to his surprised he was suffering from chronic typhoid and malaria and he had just returned from a country where this is prevalent. On realising this, he decided to go make 'trouble' at the hospital only for a trailer to bundle him out of the way at VGC roundabout, it was by God's grace that the accident was not fatal. With the incident he could not make it to the hospital again and was advised by a friend to visit a nearby Health Centre and lo and behold he had chronic typhoid and malaria which had lingered but due to the fact that he is not stressed and also takes good care of himself this was reason the illness did not manifest that much. Anyway i must also say that he was given a prescription at the clinic which would have been the last nail on the coffin because the drug nearly kill him after three days of administering it. Again he went to google and realised he would have died if he had continued with the drugs this made him visit the clinic, this time he was attended to by a different doctor who even question why he was given such drug in the first place. But all this questioning would have just been a 'voicemail' if the worst had happened. So i will suggest that we should embrace technology and the knowledge that comes with it otherwise we will all just be at the mercy of this our killer doctors around. But what baffles me again is the fact that when you go abroad the nigerian doctors you meet there are much more professional and on point that what we experience here - WHY??

Please forgive my long write-up

lolaxavier:
huh
Not everyone has the financial power to buy original
The issue here is not whether original or not, pressure pot is pressure pot. I have been using pressure pot going for 15years now and i am enjoying all the benefits that comes with it. What happened here though very tragic but i am suspecting the person just bought the pot and did not take time to know how it is used or even read the manual. When using a pressure pot once you sense your food is done, you ensure the pot cools off before you attempt opening it however if you are not patient enough to wait for the pot to cool off, you can put the pot in your sink like i usually and pour cold water over the pot severally until you hear a soothing sound from the pot, only then it is safe to open the pot. I am looking at the picture here and i am wondering what in the world would this person do now not sure if this is naija but if it is ...... mercy.
