Charles Onyekanmo in Awka The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has swept the Anambra State House election winning 26 out of 30 seats in the State House of Assembly election conducted last Saturday. The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Anambra State, Mr. Edwin Nwatarali, who announced the result on Sunday evening at the office of the Commission in Awka, the State capital, said elections in the four other state constituencies were inconclusive. He said that there will be repeat elections in the four constituencies. They are Aguata1, Senator Andy Uba’s constituency, Anaocha 1 and 2, the constituencies of former Governor, Mr. Peter Obi and Mrs. Uche Ekwunife as well as Ekwusigo, Sir Emeka Offor’s constituency. INEC was said to have postponed the election following the violence that erupted in the area during the poll on Saturday. It was said that the violence pitted two oil magnates in the state against each other, after some thugs made away with ballot boxes and result sheets in the constituencies. Meanwhile, of the three candidates being tipped to replace Hon. Chinwe Nwaebili as the speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Nikky Ugochukwu, Paully Onyeka and Rita Maduagwu of Nnewi South, Ikemefuna Uzoezie made it. Before the election, there were fears that members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by the former governor, Mr. Peter Obi, who defected from APGA were plotting to rig the election, so that they can impeach the Governor, Chief Willie Obiano. The former governor was said to have lost his Agulu ward in Anaocha Local Government Area to Obiano, his political son. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/apga-sweeps-house-of-assembly-polls-in-anambra/206655/ |
Yea I know! The guy won landslide because he called me last night to confirm the news to me. I wish him well but I told him one thing, that he must not fail to carry some of us along who were instrumental in one way or the other.. Pavore9: |

Yes my dear, politics can really break one down. I suffered emotional break down too when I was asked to step down for someone else last year. Do you know that the only reason I was given was that the fellow is older and much experienced and also has deep pocket unlike me who is just being sponsored. Well they had to refund me all the money I have spent already, but it took me some time before I could get over it totally. That is politics for you.. ![]() Pavore9: |
They don't know anything about Rivers politics.. ![]() Wizlove: |
Nwanne leave matter for Mathias.. ![]() Below was when the entire PDP went to lure him into their fold in the same Onitsha home.. ![]() ozoigbondu:

Why are you bothering yourself replying that 'nobody'? I wonder why he thinks the house is not a very quality mansion if not for attention-seeking. Stop giving him attention. Didn't you see how I skipped him to quote you earlier..? ![]() ozoigbondu: |
LOL.. For where the guy na very simple person. I have been there once though in the company of Val and other of his aides.. ozoigbondu: |
You need to walk down to his house and pay homage.. ![]() ozoigbondu: |
Playing politics without bitterness. Congrats your excellency.. ![]() You shall forever be remembered more especially what you did in our educational sector. Today, Anambra comes first in WAEC, JAMB, NECO and UNITY SCHOOL.. The greatest gift to mankind is education..

This picture just surfaced on online where Peterside was sighted telling Amaechi that it is all over, that it is time for him (Peterside) to congratulate Wike. However, Amaechi's response to that effect is yet to be obtained..

I am doing a write up already on that, will copy you when am through but on a different thread.. FreeGlobe: |
I totally agree with your assertion.. FreeGlobe: |
He successfully appointed his successor and saw to his victory before leaving unlike Amaechi's who lost with over a million votes to Wike a fellow compatriot. This is capable of breaking Amaechi down.. FreeGlobe: |
What will become of Amaechi in the coming weeks and months even years is quite unknown to many as we march into the new administration. Amaechi spent a fortune to see to the emergence of the new administration led by Hausa-Fulani- General Buhari. Amaechi hoped to be compensated by at least appointing his successor but that was not to be. Amaechi did very well as a governor when he was in PDP but suddenly he changed gear once he found himself in the midst of gold diggers who offered him Greek gift just to get a hold on his oil allocation. The only reason the APC courted Amaechi was none other than his huge financial war-chest from his oil rich Rivers State. Today, the same people that once courted Amaechi are about to desert him, haven exhausted his usefulness. I see Amaechi falling out with Buhari and Tinubu as soon as this administration takes the mantle from May 29. The huge financial commitment that came from Rivers coffers via Amaechi into Buhari's campaign project is worrisome which will breed crisis if Amaechi is not well compensated, though we do not see him (Amaechi) getting back One Tenth of that. I will sincerely give it to the Lion of Bourdillion- Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu- the Jagaban of Yorubaland, for his bravery, tenacity and above all his ambition even in the very face of 'federal might' and intimidation, he stood his ground and weathered the storm until his party coasted home to victory at the presidential poll. He has distinguished himself as the 21st century leader of the Yoruba nation. Today, Rt. Hon. Dr. Chibuike Amaechi is the greatest looser of this age. It is a lesson for the would be politicians and politicians alike. Welcome to the world of reality Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Abdul Amaechi governor of Rivers State, 2011-2015. General Chino (OFR), writes from Anambra

Keep deceiving yourself. Rivers is PDP and so shall it be. I careless about what happens in imo state because I had neither stake nor investment there in whatever form. I was only jesting all the while I was commenting on this thread. Anambra and Rivers are my priority and they have been secured. These are places my investments are and so lies my heart on who rules it. Kapish Abagworo: |
Hmmm..mtchew..as if I care who rules you over there. My interest is only in Rivers and Anambra where I have stakes and investments. With Wike as RVS governor my stake there shall be consolidated. Amaechi5: |

APGA Sweeps Anambra State Assembly Polls, Records 100% Victory The April 11, 2015 House of Assembly Election in Anambra State has exposed the love of Ndi Anambra for their dynamic and working governor, Chief Willie Obiano who has expanded the frontiers of excellence in the “Light of the Nation” in just one year in office. Chief Obiano and his party, All Progressives Grand Alliance recorded a historic victory by winning all the State Constituencies announced. The results released so far show that APGA won all the 10 State Constituencies in Anambra North Senatorial Zone covering Ayamelum (1), Oyi (1), Anambra East (1), Anambra West (1), Onitsha North (2), Onitsha South(2) and Ogbaru (2). In Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, APGA won, with huge margin, Awka North (1), Awka South (2), Njikoka (2) and Dunukofia (1). APGA also won in Anaocha Consituency II while results for Idemili North and Idemili South and Anaocha Consituteny I are yet to be released. APGA recorded total victory in all Constituencies in Anambra South Senatorial Zone; Orumba North (1), Orumba South (1), Aguata I Constituency II, Nnewi South (2), Nnewi North (1), Ihiala (2) except Ekwusigo where PDP Elements’ attempt to rig was foiled by the people and the election shifted to April 25, 2015 and Aguata Constituency I where the SPO for Uga Ward 1 absconded with sensitive materials thus rendering the election there inconclusive. As Ndi Anambra await the final result from Aguata Constituency I where APGA currently leads with 5699 votes; PDP- 3270 and the rescheduled polls in Ekwusigo come April 25, the people, their governor, Willie Obiano and their party, APGA have every reason to celebrate as this is the first time the party will win 100% in State Assembly polls. These results give credence to the public outcry that the March 28 National Assembly elections in Anambra State were massively rigged against the wishes of the people. Summarily, APGA has won 25 out 25 State Constituencies, leading in 4 other Constituencies being collated and has greater chances of winning the rescheduled polls in Ekwusigo Constituency. More details soon…
