Get out this dirty Aba ngwa miscreant. The amount of energy you waste on this thread is enough to push your governor in Abia to do something about your Abia state, which is by the way the worst state in Nigeria.

ANSMEDIA:
6-lanes Anambra international airport road under construction. The road is about 10km stretch to the airport. From the information available they have done earthworks and granite up to 8km, remaining 2km to reach the airport site before the actual asphalt starts. As at the time of getting the pictures, massive work that involves about 5 major contractors were at the airport precinct working to beat the commissioning date.
This is cool. Very good development
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast3: 1:39pm On Sep 19, 2020
There can never be central government again. Let every state continue to build what they believe can position their state better. Some states that felt cheated in that era like Ebonyi, etc, will never accept a return to that era. I support the present dispensation, every state should be it's own center and move at their own pace. Anyways, what are mine i even arguing when this is just a chit chat. In reality Nigeria is operating a federal system of government.

PROUDIGBO:
I would have preferred a coordinated approach to development for the entire south-east, but this isn't possible given present day political and structural realities! If i had my way, we'd return back to the Eastern Region, with a central gov't coordinating things from Enugu, while the present state delineations can still be kept, but with the states having some kind of federal autonomy to run their own affairs.

With such a situation, any state that wants a airport can still build one, but in this case the central gov't in Enugu will link the entire region by rail and extend it to at least two seaports. A seaport could built at Obuaku (all we need do is widen and dredge the waterway leading up to the Atlantic); we could partner with Opobo to build one there (this will need a super rail-bridge to link Opobo with the mainland); another option is to link with ports in Akwa-Ibom or Calabar.

These ideas can only materialise with a centralised gov't for the entire south-eastern region. We saw this kind of rapid, well thought out and coordinated approach to development in the Eastern Region when all parts were touched in the regions development plan: from Nkalagu to Enugu to Owerri to Aba to Port Harcourt to Calabar....every part of the region was included and had a sense of belonging.
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast3: 1:34pm On Sep 19, 2020
Basil you have come back again with your usual useless posts. There's nothing like center, every state is a center in the federation. For instance, Anambra, Delta, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi, Abia, Rivers etc, are all federating units and are all moving at their own pace.

MXrep:
We already have a center operating from enugu (SE gov's forum) but it must remain weak and states should be allowed to develop at their pace. Example, umahi championed the course for enugu airport repair in his capacity as gov forum chairman but also pursuing his own state airport project

The bastard is an attention seeker, I have posed the questions to him on his Imo thread. There are over 1000 abandoned projects all over Imo state. The annoying thing is that Imo state government borrowed for all those projects but the funds were looted and projects abandoned. This can only explain the high debt profile of Imo state with zero infrastructure on ground.

Hopeless frustrated old man, I asked similar questions in Imo thread, go and answer the question. When you do, I will post more for you to answer, because your useless Imo state has more abandoned projects than any other state in Nigeria. So much funds were borrowed and looted in the guise of building projects in Imo state. No wonder imo state is the 8 most indebted state in Nigeria with nothing to show except bad roads and under development.

Okorocha launches state airline [PHOTOS]

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha launches Imo Air on January 24, 2017.
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha launches Imo Air on January 24, 2017.
The first “Imo Air” flight landed at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport in Owerri on Tuesday, January 24.

Imo state governor,

The airline is currently being operated on the government’s behalf by Dana Air because the state does not have the license to operate a full – blown airline yet.

“This is a happy moment in the State. The aim of going into the Air business is because I want to drive traffic to Imo State as Imo is genuinely becoming the fastest developing City outside Abuja and Lagos,” Okorocha said.

“For this, there is need for more airlines to cushion the effects of high traffic coming to the State. Imo government does not have an operating air license. So we needed to partner with a good and qualified airline operator.

“Hence, the choice of DANA Air because of its proven track record and sincerity of purpose. The Imo Air will be operated by DANA and we have a contract of ten years with them. We have five of this aircraft and the first one has just landed and four other ones will start operation in few weeks time.

“The International Cargo Airport will soon kick-start to supplement the efforts of Imo Air. In our pursuit of making Imo better, Imo International Cargo Airport will soon commence operations. Work is going on smoothly and by April God’s willing the fastest International Cargo Plane will arrive Imo State.

“This, we believe will help drive up commercial activities in the State. Imo is a hub for business and there is no better place to invest now in Nigeria than Imo State as inspite of the recession the State is still flourishing and progressing because of its visionary leadership," he added.

Okorocha also said that Imo Air will offer 10% discount to all Imo indigenes and would employ Imo sons and daughters to make up 30% of its staff.

With all the noise and fanfare then where's imo airline that okoroawusa wasted resources on? Where are the jets? 8yrs down the line, there's obviously nothing to show in terms of development anywhere in Imo state. Ndi Imo eri go unu. Useless old vagabond called abagworo should come and explain further.

This thread is for updates on Anambra development just as the subject states. I know quite well that you are genuine, and always commend good jobs done and calls out the authorities where necessary. But there are some people like mktinsight that's practising his witchcraft on this thread. There are equally people I stilll respect here despite they are not even from Anambra, someone like proudigbo, he applauds good jobs done and calls out the authorities on things they should take care of, if any. That's how to be a good humanbeing that balances his thought process. Even the worst state in Nigeria still have something to be commended for, not to talk of a progressive state like Anambra that's doing so well in all fronts.

IDENNAA:
We are in firm control of this thread and nobody who doesn't mean well for the state can hijack this thread! We are Ndi Anambra and we must always tell our selves the truth not sugarcoating just to look nice in front of others.

As you might notice , Ebonyi is largely undeveloped and behind despite the whole fuss about Umahi but have you seen the quality of some of his projects however misplaced as they may seem.
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast3: 7:46pm On Sep 05, 2020
What have you added yourself? This thread is not for some useless people that are busy forming critics. Open your own thread and stay there but I won't allow any idiot hijack this thread that was opened for updates on Anambra development. If you have any complaint take it to ABS on Facebook or go to their station but not here. You are a nuisance here too, nothing more.

IDENNAA:
All you do here is insult people and never added any quality in our discuss. You thereby portray Anambra in bad light and as a people who cant have a civil interactions and deliberate on important issues. You are a nuisance here, nothing more.
PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast3: 7:41pm On Sep 05, 2020
Does this thread look like government house or ABS? This thread wasn't opened for idiots to come here to be spewing nonsense. If you want to criticise the government open your own thread and you won't see me there. We opened this thread and won't allow any idiot to hijack it. It doesn't cost a dime to create a thread where you can camp to criticise. That's the point.

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast3: 6:47pm On Sep 05, 2020
Your stupidity knows no bounds. Please you must bring your father wherever he is to contest. So Soludo or Maduka that you have been calling are not someone's fathers? Why do you think that your own father is not fit or as qualified as the people you kept mentioning? If you feel that your father cannot compete that's the same way all that you have been blowing here are all rubbish. So stop being a nuisance here if you cannot champion the campaign of your own father to turn Anambra to America with a magic wand in just 2hrs. Willie remains the best in the region and Anambra is steadily moving forward ahead of others in the region. You have to deal with it.

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast3: 6:34pm On Sep 05, 2020
It is your useless father that disappointed you and not Obiano. Obiano has done so well and delivered on quality projects, infact he is the best in this region when we consider all sectors of development and we proud of him and his developmental strides. Again, stop calling on Soludo or Maduka, start calling own your father. All you do here is coming to blow unfounded rubbish. Call on your own father to come contest the next election so you can churn out all the rubbish you have been spewing here as his adviser. Or is your father not from Anambra? This thread is not where they sell party nomination form.

[s]
pandax:
Welcome aboard. Standard is everything, I cannot emphasize less on that. Obiano really disappointed me. I expected much more from him with finesse in finishing, but he towed the line of typical Nigerian Politicians of awarding infrastructural contracts to cronies without any expertise. The result is what we are seeing allover the state. Look at open drainages everywhere in Awka and Onitsha. No single dual carriageway done by state government of any road above 5km. really hope Soludo or Maduka will up the ante of quality in Anambra development.

Thank you brother. This report is from 2018, work has been quietly going on at Isi-agu, a suburb of Awka where a more modern market is being developed. I am not very sure if this is the 3D or something. They will be moved here once it is completed.

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by oneeast3: 6:04pm On Sep 05, 2020
Mechionu this useless frustrated vagabond. Isiagu is part of Awka capital territory, so anywhere within the territory is okay for the main market development. Your ITK has made you to be reasoning like an idiot. You are just an empty headed fool. Get lost with your inputs because they are useless and worthless.

[s]
mktinsight:
Isiagu is a neighboring town not an Awka suburb. It's called Eke AWKA not Eke Isiagu. Awka has lots of land at Ifite Awka and at Agu Awka. That is where it should be built not Isiagu. Agu Awka in particular is less than 5 km from the original Eke Awka along Zik Avenue and is practically undeveloped. The government should design the market and sell stalls to traders and run it. The old Eke Awka should be removed entirely and a city hall built there. Of course what they are not saying is the fact that the Catholic Church is the biggest landlord in Eke Awka.
