Phones › Re: Who Else Thinks Google Pixel 4 And 4XL Is Mid-range Not Premium by OneGeek(m): 10:22am On Oct 29, 2019 |
alexabeb: U get kinkini point sha, but what makes a phone premium now ehh bro, na the latest technology ooo..
No Snapdragon 855+ No ultra wide lens Face unlock is too troublesome as I can't log on to some apps Can't use Google assistance if I have G-suite or on three nav button Low power performance, even tecno better pass 4XL for that category 6GB RAM, even OnePlus 7T Pro na 8GB RAM Realme has the 90Hz refresh rate display and it mid-range Realme X2 PRO is equipped with Snapdragon 855+ and wide angle camera and it is still refer to as mid-range
So to hell with Google trying to be like Apple It won't work, their engineers might be the best, but they are only makin phone for themselves not the users. The Pixel 4 is Google's idea of the 2019 Android Premium Device, believe it or not. Mid-range devices are getting more premium features these days, no doubt. However, devices like the Redmi K20 aren't quite as representative of the premium Android experience as the Pixel 4. So, is the Pixel overpriced? sure. is it a premium Android smartphone? Triple ace on the line. |

OgaVoltron: A simple google search using some of the keywords/phrases I mentioned up there would turn up a plethora of results, that's if you're really serious. Would have loved to share personal experiences but I've seen it's mostly a waste of time with Nigerians. How intelligent of you to presume Anyway, kindly give me links to articles I could read about it. |

OgaVoltron: Smile, If I told you some people can't wear wristwatches without it getting spoilt within days, every single damn watch! Or some people turn off streetlights as they walk by or even blow all the lights in their apartments every single time they touch the switch, would you consider me nuts? Dude, never stop learning sure there's Biomagnetism and MagnetoBiology, but none of them explain lights blowing out upon touching it. perhaps you could point me in the direction of a phenomenon (that's not sci-fi, that is) |

Lawnchair 2 is pretty dope tho. Still in alpha version; it's got a solid "at a glance" feature and Google Now feed integration.

Smart people don't wait for solid evidences before they take preventive measures while they can. For a country like USA, they can't afford to lose Intel and other information to someone like CHINA! it would literally cripple them! heck, that's the dream of all the other supposed "world powers": to see America crumble. So, No, it's not fearful thinking, it's just preventive measures. You would cut off that friend of yours if you as much as "think" he's betraying you elsewhere because you know that if you wait for evidences, it might be too late for you. |

jaid23: USA! ALways trying to play the BIG DEVIL What if? What if China is really building itself to be an imposing economic figure, creeping into everything else whether by hook or by crook? We are all too quick to blame USA, but China too "get for hand". They literally think it makes them any better if they are always in a race with the western world (if you're in a race with anyone like USA, you're going to play second place most of the time). Now, they've bamboozled their way to world power, and with that, the only to one up USA, is by extending a friendly arm, while planting a bug on USA's back. USA nudged out ZTE first, people thought it was because of spite (well, it looked like that), now Huawei. I see a trend; one that isn't as thoughtless as we think. |

TruthMustBeTold: And way more expensive than the Galaxy Fold, almost $700 difference and that is where they really shot themselves in the leg. Fold Smartphones are still too novel. I still love the current form factors out there, besides, The S10 variants are beautiful AF, so, the need (or want) for a foldable phone is kinda lost. |

TDonald: Huawei Mate X is so far the best foldable phone I've seen. the only con is that it folds outwards and the display is covered in plastic, which means it can get scratched quite easily. |

greenhulk: Why did Samsung decide to kill the the whole smartphone industry na? Haba. Even the cheapest s10e has everything with 8gb of ram and 128gb of internal storage. And there is an s10 plus with 12gb of ram and 1 Tb of storage. Coupled with a much better in display fingerprint scanner than we have seen before, 5 cameras... I thought its only the Chinese phone makers that like to go this extreme. It's just crazy |

I'm a writer and a content creator. I'm fully aware of what productivity a stylus could bring me, and I know the Note 9 is a phone that screams PRODUCTIVITY, but this is just a privilege to many, never a necessity. |
Phones › Re: Iphone X And Galaxy Note 9. Which Is Better? by OneGeek(m): 5:28pm On Nov 21, 2018 |
ollah2: Your friend is similar to the guy on this thread. Note is a niche product, you purchase it for its productivity functionalities and not snapchat and Instagram Well, I'll agree with you based on the versatility of the Note 9. But I keep telling people: that one phone brand gives you a stylus to play with doesn't mean they are the alpha and the omega of the industry. |

ollah2: Don't deceive yourself. Apple would rather launch a new phone with Apple pencil than support the current phones with it Don't deceive yourself. Apple would rather launch a new phone with Apple pencil than support the current phones with it[/quote]Well, Apple didn't become what it is today by throwing common sense out the window like Windows Phone did. It can afford to release a new iPad Pro and an expensive Apple Pen (with no backwards compatibility whatsoever), because, well, it's just about the only thing left in the tablet sector. But with the iPhone? Nah. I honestly think Apple is doomed in the end, but still, that would be the dumbest way to getting screwed, and they know that. |
Phones › Re: Iphone X And Galaxy Note 9. Which Is Better? by OneGeek(m): 9:09am On Nov 21, 2018 |
Who really needs a pen on a phone?? I mean it's a phone! not a 2003 PDA! oh well, I see a lot of yammering about the S-pen, so, I figured people really DO use the S-pen for much longer than I initially thought.
Going forward, I think iPhone X would get the Apple Pen support; And that would sufficiently kill this "does your iPhone X have S-pen functionalities?" balderdash. |
