PoliticsRe: Who Suffers If Nigeria Divides? by OneNaira6: 9:02pm On May 31, 2013
dozzybaba: haha you don tire?... I think say you sabi claim ND land..you bloody territorial expansionist..you want to corner my ancestral home and make me a minority in your Ijaw-governed land of perpetual militancy..simply becos Gowon carved an araificial SS and pushed me further away from my kins abi. let us dethrone those lies that have been existing for decades now.

There is nothing like one SS or ND. Take abouta good look at Nigerian map. How can Gowon's geography tell me that Uyo and Ogoja is more south-southerly than Aba, if he doesn't an Ulterior motive to divide and rule. Look at that map..and answer. Does saying that Onitsha, Aba, Owerri are more south-easterly than Uyo and Calabar obey geographical logic?..They just obliterated that map in the east to achieve one aim--push the Igbo away from every other part, divide them so you can rule and lord over them. Gowon should really pray hard for his geographical sins..he tried to play God there.
Tell me about it. I have been telling people this, when nigeria divides SS won't be a nation. The only people fighting for the so called SS nation is ijaw and we all know why they doing that. The smart ones fight for their land alone, though they speak for SS but aren't dragging everyone into a make belief nation. SS is not even united unless it's politics or money involved when land is involved everyone fights over it like bunch of kids. When nigeria divides, Rivers alone would probably divide into three. The ogini community wants to be on their own. This has been wish since the degration of their land. delta go divide into only God knows how many. I know for sure iteskiri would not align itself with any SS nation. urhobo/isoko might but that is a huge might. Rivers igbo, i can't speak for una but i know for sure delta igbo, quote me on that, wouldnot and never be part of any make belief SS nation. Sh1t I'll choose Nigeria over any SS republic or ND republic. Either way na hell e go be cause the people that pretend to be majority will try to lord themselves over everyone. Even my bestfriend said the same thing and the nigg@ is ibibio. No offense but the Ijaw has that north born to rule mentality. Though i support their fight for GEJ, i see that born to rule mentality with the way they going about it

ijaw citizen: Shut up! nobody is claiming you as Niger Deltans, you're just feeling insecure with your Bini ancestry because if they can regard their fellow South easterners as OSU, imagine what they're gonna do to you. They would just sell you as slaves to their Ijaw masters at the coast for some bottles of ogogoro grin grin grin
Ewu monkey. it irritates me when i see buffons on some area opening moutg to try and cause division. wetin dey worry una? let SE open there mouth and tell us they don't want SS igbo. why are you speaking for am now. There are multiple of them on this forum, multiple of them residing in our land, let them speak for themselves. PoliticsRe: Commemorating The 46th Anniversary Of The Declaration Of The Republic Of Biafra by OneNaira6: 9:39pm On May 30, 2013
until the Biafra or Igboland republic becomes a reality, i don't think it's accurate to celebrate a situation that's still midway. Like Hnosegbu pointed out, the reason why Biafra was declared is still occurring in Nigeria today and infact getting worse. Ironically enough, more and more people are seeing the same thing Ojukwu saw many years ago and more community are seeking the same disintegration in today's time. In my opinion, it's not right to commemorate the republic without actually achieving what our grandfathers, great grandparents, uncles, dad, etc fought for.

BTW odumchi where have you been dude? Your input in the cultural section was highly missed. at least to me it was.

Those foreigners dey play everyone wayo that is if governor's aren't stealing the money. For this bridge, i give 15 or 20 years maximum.

my brother we are in the same boat with this. what use it's the NGF anyone know? what have they done since the beginning of the organization? i don't understand the reason for the whole wahalla except for one thing

All I see from the wahalla is the down spiral of a politician political career and he's too stupid to see it. I honestly pity amaechi. he's alienating himself, not realizing the people with him now are throwing him out to the gators alone. Too damn stupid. He's losing the trust of his state, the trust of his region and the trust of his party which are the main things a politician needs to advance his career. SMH! PoliticsRe: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by OneNaira6: 9:20am On May 29, 2013
rhymz: Eagle eyes has succinctly answered youe subtle tribal pettiness. It is so comfortable for you lot to parrot about Wole Soyinka's greatness with every exaggerations possible yet the honorary title given to Achebe that has stuck becomes a problem all because even though it is mere honorary title, it towers above your tribe's man overrated Nobel Laureat.
Besides, I read the said interview, Wole sounded down derisive and patronizing when talking about Achebe, nobody needs him to put up appearance and act like he does not have issues with the man. Using all that unecessary and evasive grandstanding explanation to make a simple idea seem ambigious and confusing when he could have just said, Chinua and I are not particularly close but we share mutual respect for eachother, kappish!

With all his patronizing descriptions and baseless suggestive statements to make it look like the man had problem with his Nobel award, to the point of making statements that can not be proven and credited it to Chinau, how childish can Wole get. .scheeew! The man is full of himself and finds it difficult to be humble and let others blow his own trumpet.

When asked about the new generations of writers and who he prefers, the egocentric Wole could not even bring himself to even talk about anyone in particular, at best, all he had to say was that he read many of them during traffics and sometimes fights the temptation to fling some out of the windows, what an encouragement from Wole Soyinka to the new generation of Nigerian Writers, very cheeky!

Yet this same man has problems with people who had been inspired by Achebe's humility, efforts towards getting not just his own works but those of other great africans out to the world through his pioneering and collaborative publishing effort with Christopher Okigbo another accomplished litrary giant. What was Wole's response to such effort, uneccessary show of superiority and protest that he will not allow his books to be published by the heinemen publishing firm that had seen the efforts of the African Writers Series and decided to collaborate with them, after his lame explanation of not wanting his books to be categorized by such efforts, what did he do, he took his books to another whiteman's publishing firm to be published. . . Scheeew!
His grouse was probably because he did not want his coleagues to edit his work, not too good for his Ego, i guess!

Wole Soyinka is no match for Achebe in the litrary world, Achebe has done a lot for a African literature, Achebe wrote so that other African writers can write believing that their books wont be type-cast just as another book written by an african without the language ambiguity to impress on the english man of the writer's mastery of his language, Achebe just wrote like an African and told every other african to dare to do thesame.
I have said my piece.
This is beautiful. Described the situation to the damn T. Even the ending correlated perfectly with a quote from Boubacar Diop, a sengalese writer, that said chinua achebe TFA actually showed him the "real africa". Dude standing ovation. In my opinion, this is the best comment I've seen on NL.

Anglophone against francophone?
You are beating around the Bush, there are movies which sold more than others that doesn't make them instantly better., when you are done beating around the Bush, tell me what makes Achebe the father of African literature, when his peers do not call him this way and even his friend sonyinka doesn't call him this way, he himself was against this title don't tell me you know better than him
Are you serious? Nigg@ went from "unpopular" to "better". So you cannot defend your unpopular stanch now you moving to once again, a stanch you cannot defend. Dude STICK TO ONE STANCH. Achebe is BETTER than your whoever you've been listing. I say it, thousands, scratch that millions say it. Cry me a river if the people una wish was on Achebe level is not. Link yourself back to those articles and cry me a river. Father of modern literature given to him by "one of his peers". For your information, I'm 20 and I thank the living God, I don't stupidly use age to determine what type of book I should read. NOONE IN THE WORLD DOES THAT, except maybe you which honestly I SMH at. CAMEROONPRIDE: one of the smh more than 100 come before him if that's the case even someone with 30.000copies sold is one of the best
First off, pay close attention to numbers, the list is in MILLIONS, not thousands. Second of, if the task is so easy, how come a Cameroon is not on the list. Even the ones you disturbing us with didn't make it? Are Anglophone against francophone is that the reason?

BTW: Learn to count dude. The list is not even 100 names thus how did 100 names come before Chinua Achebe? WTF is wrong with you?
PoliticsRe: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by OneNaira6: 11:52am On May 26, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: Not my fault if you can't read. Never said he is popular among Anglophone , what I said the lady is Anglophone and has more chance to have read achebe since we don't have much Anglophone authors in Cameroon I mean successful ones, it is a known fact that Cameroon is a French dominated country so I don't know which story I'm trying to twist or change, I don't know for you in Nigeria but here we update our programs so it is very difficult for different generations to study the same thing simple as that.....again I'm waiting for the francophone he influenced?

You are a bigot this is how I see it that's all you keep beating around the Bush ..copying and pasting useless articles ...which don't prove anything..tell us how Achebe is the father of Africa literature on which basis? Period failure to do that shows that you are the clueless here
A bigot calling someone a bigot. Do you want me to bring out all your bigotry post on this website? oh please I beg to dare me.

Like many other Cameroonians, I first encountered Chinua Achebe in a secondary school classroom
The lady quote once more. Pay close attention to her words, "LIKE MANY OTHER CAMEROONS", the key term there is "MANY" which completely defeats your sole claim of "local champion to Nigeria". It's noone's fault you never bothered to pay attention in school, instead of coming here to give us some bs story.

Of all your post, you've not defended not one with a link excluding providing us list of irrelevant unpopular authors. I just gave you list of other African countries including some you sole claim, there francophone stanch does not recognize chinua achebe, that undoubtedly labeled that same man as "The father of modern African literature." in each of their tribute. While others had also provided you links to back up their stanch.

Unable to defend his stanch on the claim that the man is unpopular, local champion, he resulted to shouting bigotry. Like I said if you are clueless, do yourself a favor and bow out. Stop Embarrassing yourself.

Let me add one more African statement. This time Ghana again
Africa and the world are mourning the passing of Chinua Achebe in a variety of ways. To many of his admirers, the void created by a great writer’s death is hard to fill.

Did you just read your post. I said one of the best selling books in the world. The list mentioned specifically as the LIST OF BEST SELLING BOOKS IN THE WORLD. Where did I mention he is the top seller, nigg@ learn the term "ONE OF THE". By the way, there are thousand even millions of books coming out yearly and for your book to be listed as one of the best selling out of the millions of books is not an easy task.

Bow out if you are clueless to defend yourself.
PoliticsRe: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by OneNaira6: 11:27am On May 26, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: She is Anglophone and older than me undecided undecided undecided Cameroon have two educational system. And you guessed right I m a product of francophone education.

Lemme ask you something if Gej, David Cameron, Obama, or sonyinka die tomorrow what do you think will happen? huh huh So I find your articles pointless.
People die, celebrities die every f2king day and if the said person is unpopular or as you mentioned "local champion", he or she would not receive tribute from multiple nations neither would they include a title or praise post for the said person's behalf. .

GEJ is though a president but he is an unpopular character to the world and if he pass away today (I pray to God that does not happen), newspaper authors would right about him but none would make a tribute on his behalf. The same goes for David Cameron and Soyinka. The only person on your list that would affect the entire world the same way Achebe did when he passed is Obama.

I didn't even extend out of Africa, excluding black americans, if I included non-Africans you'll be eating your words some more right now.

By the way: stick to one story. Stop changing your post each time people get links to defeats it. You went from Chinua Achebe is not known in Cameroon, neither is his book read in Cameroon to a new story about him being popular to Anglophone of Cameroon and unpopular to francophone. WTF? Dude give it up already. You came into a fight clueless, best bow out when you can't defend to what you say. stop changing your stanch around.
