sultanfortune: She should use Google and search for schools that offer psychology MS or PhD. She could type it State by State or just type schools that offer Psychology masters in the US.
Majority of Psychology graduate programs in the US requires GRE for funding purposes, so I encourage she register and write the GRE if she wants to be funded. She can prepare the GRE in say 3-4 months and write the exam and start preparing her application to schools against next FALL. thanks boss.. I will pass the info across.. thanks y'all.. I already asked her to join this thread as it helped me immensely 3 years ago when I was prepping for my interview |

fairheart: The questions you asked cannot be fully answered by another person. For your sister to know what is required for a master's admission, she will need to first decide which program she wants to study. Program of choice determines the requirement for admission. She may need to write GRE, evaluate her academic transcript (not required by every school), etc. My advice is that, read some of my posts on thread 14 and 15, the current one. Use Google to search for schools, and visit each school you see to determine their requirement for admission and full funding GA. If you have a specific question, ask. Hi, thanks for taking out time to respond. she was a PSY major (Bsc) and currently works in Banking - Insurance precisely. Point is, she wants to further her education (guessing PSY) in the states and would like to know what the process(es)/steps are. I currently live, study and work in the states(NYC) but Im an undergrad and don't have much details on postgrad applications.. so any lil info will be much appreciated. Thanks |

Thank God once more and to my family members... my people I dey United States now.. I said to my self I'll type this POE experience and it'll be a stress free one.. so I left to Abuja airport by 9.. flight was by 2pm.. I did the checks in.. trust me, EGYPTAIR is the best.. we got to Egypt though we were delayed at Egypt airport for 3 hours before we were assigned a hotel.. come see 5 star hotel.. we left Egypt by 9 and landed JFK by 3.. meanwhile EGYPTAIR was strict to time.. we even boarded early and left early for both Abuja to Cairo and Cairo to New York
So when I got to JFK intl airport, I queued up at the POE.. people plenty for Poe o... omo the amount of people there seemed like half population of Nigeria .. and here's what transpired CO: good Day how're u? Me: I'm good. Good Evening CO: What food u carrying Me: just groundnut And that was it.. he stamped me in.. JFK big mehn.. I even lost my way.. now on my way to Arkansas...
Thanks fam.. forgive the error.. sleep dey my eyes |

Abuja embassy was never STRICT, in fact , most visa success transcripts were from Abuja back in the days.. I can remember people say "never go to Lagos embassy" this and that .. that they don't approve visas.. now it's Abuja I wonder what went wrong .. That being said, Congrats to Those that got their visa approved lately, and those that are yet to get theirs, . (I wish y'all success) Meanwhile for those that were delayed, never , I repeat, never loose hope.. just take ur time to understand where things are not adding up and fix it.. Go and grab that visa already .. |

paulsir: I filled ds-160last week and generated a code but got stucked because of somethings ibdont have yet. isvit possible for me to use the last code generated and how if it's possible. Also, on DS 160 form is it only to generate code alone or I still need to put in more info about me and my sponsor and if it's so how do ivreach that stage. I am more confused. Yes.. kindly type in the code u generated on the DS160 website.. that should bring u back on track to where you stopped ur application.. yes you should complete every question on the DS160 .. don't leave nothing behind o.. your sponsors details and everything .. school info .. sorry for the late reply .. thanks |

Walspring: You never see anything, some go even dey use call monitor you as if say tomorrow no dey and as if say you wan run with the hard earn money.
But what surprise me and baffles me is that after they got confirmation that sevis paid they won't bother to call you to notify you until you call them.
Make God help us. In as much as I'm in support of oludare.. I don't get ur point sir.. it is normal to feel unsafe esp if you've been scammed.. there're a lot of thieves out there.. don't blame the ones with trust issues .. that might actually be their last cash and for what reason? To be scammed at the later run.. just like oludare said.. if you have trust issues don't message him.. if you're willing to risk it .. fine.. |

I have heard a lot of stuff about her. Just apply soon and God will direct the right person for you.
