chukxie: Head to Japan or South Korea if you have the strength for factory jobs. China is good for business---legit business that is. Hong Kong is a great place but the cost of living is pretty expensive and the chances of finding work is slim... Best of luck!Yes Japan and South Korea are near the top of the list for me, but their entry visas is not easy. I'm also looking at Vietnam, do you have any info about Vietnam? |
all4naija: Okay fanatic! I hope you don't have bomb tied around your waist. No, unlike you I love life because I know what my purpose here on earth is to serve Almighty God. For you dirty Atheist it's to indulge yourselves in all kinds of immoralities, which would sooner or later kill you. |
Kay 17: Is the Bible the only source of spiritual knowledge? How did the writers of the Bible gain such knowledge? Did God tell em? How did God tell em? Through dreams? The Bible is ABSOLUTELY THE ONLY TEXTUAL SOURCE of spiritual knowledge. The writers of the Bible were inspired by the Holy Spirit of God. We are not to question the exact process of transmission. Kay 17: SEE! this monty python history! Thankfully Jesus supposedly lived 2000yrs ago. So we know how and what he would have looked like. This is sad.Wow, your inferiority complex says that Jesus must be oyibo. I know in my heart and also from textual evidence that Jesus is a blackman. |
I don't. I keep and manage what I make. I give her weekly allowance, but she cannot control or even know about my own money. |
all4naija: Most Nigerians are extremely religious and silly. They will never see the truth in what the OP poster no matter how clear it is. They blind themselves to reality and choose myth. You are a traitor to Nigeria and indeed all of Africa. Go back to Sodom and Gomorrah (London or San Francisco) where you'll feel more comfortable with a large gay population. |
bokohalal: This has to qualify as the most 'illogical paradox' of the year.Learn your history, your ignorance is embarrassing. Jesus was a blackman. The Jews of the Bible were blacks. Jesus lived in the land of Canaan, which is Northeast Africa! The earliest Christians were black (Kingdom of Axum in Ethiopia, Copts in Egypt, etc.) It is common sense to be in awe at creation, whether human abilities or natural phenomenon. Only a fool would posit that all of this came from an exploding dot, and not the meticulous and perfect planning of a supremely intelligent God. |
Kay 17: If the spirit guides us to do right or not do wrong, then those who do wrong or don't do right are spiritless!Jesus Christ is the most documented figure in antiquity. There are ample evidence to prove that His miracles actually happened. |
Human beings questioning the plan of Almighty God is like ants wondering about the purpose of the Badagary Expressway: there is no way we could comprehend something so much more profound than our mental capabilities allow. So, instead of questioning the purpose of God's plan and creations, we should ask ourselves what is God's instruction for us to live. |
Kay 17: Do you think the Bible writers had a grasp of the immensity of modern scientific knowledge? Could they understand a black hole? Or the power of an atom? Did they understand near infinity of space? Did they ever juxtapose God with such knowledge? If they do know, how would that help the people 2000 years ago understand about God? You have no sense. The Bible says that we are spiritual beings, so why concern ourselves with the triviality of physical science? Spiritual knowledge is unequivocally more important! |
991: christ is ur messiah, Krishna is for Hinduism, mohamed is for muslims, Buddha is for the Buddhists etcStop spewing your nonsense. How dare you compare Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour with some Indian myth-god and some stinky Arab? Jesus rose from the dead, healed the sick, fed the masses, can any of your fake prophets do that? |
mikeapollo: bI didn't say Ghana, Benin, and Togo are insignificant because of their population, only that they are insignificant. Also, Israel and Cuba are not black countries, so it's not a fair comparison. In Africa, population correlates well with significance. |
God curse this dammd oyibo! This one knows he is going straight to the deepest pits of hell, but he wants to drag as many with him as possible! Who put this filth on NL? Your doing the oyibo's bidding against the blackman. Don't you know that the only hope for Africa and the blackman is the Gospel and the Blood of Jesus? When we were ignorant of His Holy Grace, we were easily overcome by the oyibos who subjugated and colonised us, even to this day! The only way we can free ourselves is through following in Christ, being His Church and His Body. To propagate Atheist writings is tantamount to aid the oyibos in enslaving the blackman spiritually! The oyibos have also tried to introduce homosexuality into Africa, but so far the force of God has kept them out. No Atheist can be a loyal African. To them, the Science of the wicked oyibos is their god and they will worship what the oyibo scientists say. |
Congratulations to my people! I never doubted that when we put our trust in God, great things will happen! May Nigeria go from strength to strength, in Jesus' Holy Blessed Name, AMEN! |
Who cares about Ghana? To me it's just another Benin or Togo: a small insignificant country on the other side of Lagos. |
Please, Nairalanders in Asia, give some advice for a fellow brother in Christ. Which Asian country is the best for a Nigerian to make it? |
victorD3: AfghanistanLol, you think this is a joke but it's no laughing matter with no job prospect here in this Nigeria while your youth is wasting away. Btw, Afganistanis are like Arabs and Indians, I like a country where the people are Asians like chinkos. I have a thing for Asian girls. |
Hi, for those of you with personal experience, can you tell me which Asian country is the best for a Nigerian to go and hustle. Which is easiest to enter, and which has the least racism. I heard China has many Nigerians in prison so I don't want to go there although there is money to be made. I also hear of Malaysia but recently there are stories about how racist Malaysians are. Do you have experiences about other countries in Asia? I want to go to improve my life and maybe marry an Asian girl. Thanks. |
They (USA & Israel) killed him because he was part black and wasn't willing to be their puppet like Obama or Jonathan. I don weep for Naija. |
Amhatu: Yet another lie mostly from US. The world is laughing at the US. We all know they can hijack servers or make false claims. It can be done from a US Naval ship in South Korea. (Hacking Chinese IP addresses or making fake ones and attaching a Beijing or other Chinese address to it.) The world is tired of these US Thugs. Maybe if US Engineers go make a High-speed train from California to Virginia they can learn more discipline.Good point. The Western media has completed ignored the almost certainty that hackers from the US government are also stealing information across the world. |
Sealeddeal: The statement didnt just say that 'Ladipo will be shut'.the commissioner said that 'Ladipo will be shut,IF the traders fail to comply with environmental laws'.there is no reason why people will disobey law and expect to go unpunished.Govt has the right to enforce order thats necessary to maintaining a sound environment. What you said is true, but the problem is that there are many many markets that violate state laws. The state government however is only closing down those that are dominated by Igbos. |
I see, AAs are tired of being 2nd class citizens in America, so they want to come to Africa and oppress others! Dream on! It's a well-known thing that African immigrants in America look down on AAs, and that African students outperform them in universities by a huge margin, and these people want to come to our countries and demand this and that as if colonizing us? You've got to be kidding me. They do realize that Africa doesn't have welfare or affirmative action, right? |
I see truth in what he said. Everyone is tribalist. If you don't favor your own ethnic group more, are you really human? nokingasgod: This is the most moronic comment ever made on the subject! |
As much as I like Fashola, I have to point out that if not for amalgamation that created the relatively large country of Nigeria, Lagos would only be as important as Cotonou right now. But yes, division and amalgamation of Africa by the European colonists was a crime against humanity. AFRICA MUST UNITE! THE GIANT OF AFRICA MUST LEAD THE WAY. |
Christianity is passed on by person from Christian to another, the Bible, with its figurative parables, cannot be comprehended straight up. Your own interpretations may have given you the impression that Christianity could have supported bigotry and oppression, and certainly the oppressors in history have manipulated the scriptures to their advantage. It is for this reason that the early church limited letting everyone having access to the Bible. They were afraid that people would misinterpret and form different sects. Christianity played an important role in shaping Europe up until recent centuries. It gave them the foundation that their later societies would be established. Just compare Europe with the Muslim Middle East or with the Hindu India or Buddhist China, and it is very clear that Europe is by far the most advanced, progressive, and moral of these societies. That's the reason Nigerians would rather go to Europe or the USA instead of say India, Saudi Arabia, or China. Logicboy03: Over the ages, we have had christian slavery and genocides in the form of crusades. Christianity is the religion with the most bloodshed. |
nep2ra: Your err greatly in the bold statement above. You will do well to research the origin and evolution of your Judeo-Christian belief. Let me give you an example. Zoroastrianism has greatly influenced Judaism, Gnosticism in Christianity and Islam. This is a sophisticated religion that existed way before any of these religions. Zoroastrians believe that there is one universal and transcendent God, Ahura Mazda. He is said to be the one uncreated Creator to whom all worship is ultimately directed. If you study more about Zoroastrianism, you will find out it is all you think Christianity promotes and many more. And this is just one out of so many examples.I am aware of similarities between Judaism/Christianity and their contemporary religions, and the possible influences from them. I know about Ahura Mazda, but in Zoroastrianism there is also an evil god. I've also heard about the myth of Mithra during Christ's life time that had similar themes of virgin birth, resurrection, etc. Yes, they may raise a lot of doubt in people, but that's besides the point. How? I don't think the Bible is to be taken literally. It's not a history book. It's not a science book. It's not a fortune teller's tool. It's instructions on how to live life. Of all the ones that claim to be such instructions, the Bible has worked the best over the ages. Regarding Christianity dying out, well I believe the present trend in the west of secularization is just a way of weeding out the nominal Christians who claim to believe but have no faith. I believe that Christians have always formed a minority in their population, even when most people claimed to be Christians on paper. There will always be a vanguard of believers who stand firm when others submit to to disbelief. |
Actually, I have no intention of trying to convert you. But if it makes you feel better that I was trying to do so, well go ahead and believe that. You seem to be obsessed by the fact that the Jews are in the limelight because of the Bible. I don't see that as a problem as you do. Still, although it could be said that salvation comes from the Jews, it doesn't depend on them. What they do is independent of our relationship with God. You see the subtlety here? It's true that every culture has its spiritual myths. But few believe in a supreme and benevolent god. None believes that there is only one God, who loves the world and is omnipotent. There is no religious tradition that instills a sense of purpose, good morals and humane treatment of others like that of the Judeo-Christian tradition. To me personally, Christian theology is also very poetic, and helps me make sense of everything. I don't know your experiences, obviously. And I shouldn't blame you for your disbelief. I think everyone worships God a little differently, in his unique way, and only that way is genuine. The same could be said about our larger black African community. I think that the background of black African Christians changes our understanding and practice of Christianity. Diversity in the practice of religion isn't a hole in our belief system. I believe that diversity is more beautiful than homogeneity, than a monotonous mush. I truly believe that Christianity has made Africa a better place, and we need to continue to replace our old superstitions with more humane practices. At the same time, I understand that some of our traditional practices and value must be maintained, if they do not contradict with us placing God in the center of our lives. nep2ra: I see your dogged determination in trying to convert me. Good job there but I will pass on this one. Let's start from the bolded. The Bible indeed does say that salvation is from the Jews. |
Marilyn Monroe was dead a year before Kennedy's assassination. So you fail. aminho: A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe. |
We Nigerians (not just politicians and leaders, I mean every Nigerian) are responsible. |
Why would anyone go to university in Nigeria these days? Waste of time and money. If you can't go to a good school abroad, then work! |
The Bible may be told from the Jews' perspective but it does not put them into a good light. They have continuously rebelled against God's Laws and because of that, have been punished repeatedly for it. Every race has its purpose which God has planned. If the Jews' purpose was to spread knowledge of God to the world, so be it. I don't find it offensive. I'm sure we blacks have a unique purpose that no other group can fulfill, just like every other race. Creation isn't about homogeneity. If all groups of people have the same attributes and purpose and history, the world wouldn't be as interesting. Instead, each plays a crucial role in the world that no other group can replace. Salvation does not depend on the Jews. Sure Jesus, as a Jew, preached almost exclusively to the people of Israel, but they ignored Him, and were slaughtered and exiled less than a century after His death. The Jews suffered their share as the chosen people, but they managed to survive in exile because they did not completely forsake God and kept their identity. We should learn how to survive with adversity from the Jews. Of course, you may say that they have their religion and scriptures that has them as central figures and we as blacks use scriptures filled with foreigners. I think Christianity practiced by Africans is different than that practiced by oyinbos. Well, the Bible is written to teach each and every human being as if it were written specifically for you. In fact, the Bible says that the universe was created specifically for you (that's you as in nep2ra). We all have a purpose to fulfill, and it's our duty to retain our African identity so that we could fulfill it. nep2ra: You contradict yourself in this one. God does not have a race. Granted, lets say I agree but in the next breath you say Jews are his favourites. Don't you see there's a big conspiracy by the Jews to pull a wool over your eyes? The Jews who wrote the Bible tell you they are God's chosen people and you swallow it hook, line and sinker. Well, there are books elsewhere that say God favours one race over the other and if anybody chooses to believe that, who are you to argue with them? So, the whole world's salvation is dependent on one race? Do you know how offensive that sounds? No surprise coming there seeing the hatred between Jews and Arabs. |
