SniperInADiaper: I'm sorry, not familiar with that idiom. Maybe I hit a nerve with my first comment. Like I said before, I admire you for how you deal with adversity. Negativity is always out here to get us, so the essence of living is simply being positive in the midst of all the troubles in life. This is what my religion teaches. This is what I think life is about. I don't think my opinion is that out of the ordinary. A lot of people would've thought the same way. You need to understand why people would think this instead of thinking bitter thoughts and that we're out to get you. I wish you and your children the best in life. May you go from strength to strength. |

SuyaEater: I think just people from any other nation would be rooting for Tahiti. Who doesn't want to witness a historic upset? If it was Ghana against Tahiti, I'd cheer for Tahiti. But yeah, Nigeria's a rising star in international football, and some people, especially those from the West don't like it, especially if they think their own country (USA) is the next big thing in football. But yeah, we need some work before we can really challenge Spain or Brazil. Hopefully we're good enough for Uruguay. They played horribly against Spain. 1 Like |

SniperInADiaper: Maybe genetic testing can't find out everything. Look, I do not intend to offend you. Getting through the adversities of life with a positive is one of the best things on earth. However, after the second child maybe you should've reconsidered bringing more of them to this world. I stand by what I said. 1 Like |

This was Tahiti's first goal in a major international tournament. This means: We must beat Uruguay outright, a draw would not be good enough. (Assuming we lose to Spain, and not a draw or win.) I still have faith in Keshi and the boys. It's Nigeria's and Africa's turn to shine in FIFA. |

Maybe Tahiti is simply not challenging enough to bring out the best in the Super Eagles. Who knows, we might draw with Spain and beat Uruguay outright. |

I had high hopes for the Super Eagles. But they're playing so sloppy against such a bad team. How could they hope to win against Spain or Uruguay if they continue to play like this? Please play better, cleaner, and score like 7 goals in the second half. |

The Bible has warned us about false prophets, even those that appeared to do miracles, like raising from the dead. Do not put your trust to this woman, but to the Word of God, and Christ Jesus Himself. |

codeine123: Nigeria will win Thaiti, but the goal margin wouldn't be much, something like a 2 1,1 0 or 3 2 margin. Our main concern should be Uruagy and spain, a draw against both countries will put Nigeria in a good position to move through to the quater final stage. My 2 cent piece of advice. Draw against both Spain and Uruguay no be easy o. Most likely we will lose to Spain. If we only draw against Uruguay then it comes down goal differences so that's why we need to really crush Tahiti. It's their first match so we need to take advantage of their nervousness playing against the big boys. If we can't beat Uruguay outright, then we must beat Tahiti by more than Uruguay does. |

I don't understand why people are talking about this match so much. It's Tahiti we're playing against. This is a team that our U20 team can easily crush. Even with 8 players, the Super Eagles can still win against them. We should be worried about Spain and Uruguay. |

Symphony007: I love this move by ameachi. Enough of this igbos called ikwerres who claim to be riverines running rivers state. It is time for the real riverines like the bonny,kalabari,andoni;abua;etc...to take control of their state. I do not know how it will be made possible but by ameachi just aknowledging it, is a great step. Why seek to divide Rivers state and indeed, all of Nigeria by ethnic groups? Can't we just be identified as simply Nigerians and be judged based on merit and not on something we can't control, like ethnicity? Affirmative action, like all discrimination, is wrong. |
Politics / Re: Fashola Releases Fantasy Video Of Lagos by onitshaigbo(m): 7:39pm On Jun 14, 2013 |
Lagos is the most dynamic city on this continent. Lagos has a lot of non-urban areas that it could spread to. Its future is boundlessly bright, provided that infrastructure development is up to speed. As long as we have governors like Fashola, I will always believe in Lagos. |
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Population To Surpass U.S By 2050 by onitshaigbo(m): 7:35pm On Jun 14, 2013 |
It's no big deal if it happens. Nigeria is in Africa, a land very suitable for human habitation whereas the United States is in North America, a frozen land like Europe that is unfit for human beings to live, except for those mutated albinos aka oyibos. Nigeria has plenty of land and can support a huge population while still being able to be prosperous. Our African neighbours are not densely-populated so Nigerians can always move out of our border and populate the neighbouring countries, like Cameroon, Gabon, Chad, Central African Republic, Benin, Togo, Niger, Burkina Faso, etc. Our large population is our strength. It's what makes us the Giant of Africa. FG should encourage people to have more children, and subsidise raising children. |

MRbrownJAY: Let me do me and let them do them. Yes, I agree 100%. I would never stop people from becoming disgusting pigs, and people have the right to stuff themselves silly. I think it's wrong, but I don't think I have the right to stop them. Just like my beliefs with homosexuality and other sins. It is only on this forum where I would stay anonymous that I voice my opposition to people being complacent about being obese. In real life, I'd never share my opinion on it except with close family members or friends. One thing you can't deny is that obesity is unhealthy. I don't think I need to say more about this. Despite some people are more genetically prone or environmentally prone to obesity, as long as you limit how much you eat, you can avoid being fat, and that's a fact. If you can't afford to eat healthy, if you don't have time to exercise, or if you're stressed out, you can always eat less to avoid obesity. Just because some people prefer their partner to be fat doesn't mean it's a good thing. For one thing, in the wicked world of the oyibos, some have fetishes for people with amputated limbs, does that mean people should go out of their way to amputate a limb or two? |

MRbrownJAY: If they don't eat like a pig but instead control their diet and exercise, how could anyone be obese like that? the fact that you believe that anyone should be ashamed of themselves for being obese is your SECOND mistake in this discussion. just because thats how YOU feel shouldnt be a reason for everyone to look down on such issue. A person should feel shame if he/she is living an unhealthy life and does nothing to change it. Obesity is very unhealthy. It is also disgusting, and the Bible commands us to "not be disgusting." the fact that you believe that all obese person let themselves go, is your FINAL mistake in this discussion. Both the happy obese woman and the slim and miserable woman have serious problems. For the happy obese woman, she is ignoring her problems and shirking the responsibility to take care of herself. She is deceiving herself that all is well. This is not a healthy attitude to approach life. |

igbeke: i leave in badagry which is very close 2 d border. can u believe d Beninous dont patronize anytin made in nigeria cos dey believe it is fake? yet we flood our mkt wit anytin dat comes from dere. If the Beninese don't buy Nigerian food because they believe Nigerian food is adulterated, then they have good standards, and I would want to purchase the food they have to sell here in Nigeria. The same for Cameroon. As much as I love Nigeria as a proud Nigerian, health and safety comes first. |
Food / Re: Adulteration Of Food Items In Nigerian Markets by onitshaigbo(m): 9:46pm On May 31, 2013 |
We need more supermarkets like Shoprite, Tesco, Sam's Club, and Carrefour here in Naija. Even the food not adulterated are sometimes sold in highly unhygienic conditions, and some are downright filthy. We as Nigerians deserve better. |
