Stay away from the 2007 model of that camry but 08 to 12 V6, my guy go for it, I will advice you to stay away from push button to start except your windows are made of tempered bullet proof windows.

Why? The thief only needs to remove the small glass, unlock the door, seat comfortably, push the button and drive home his new christmas gift..Lol

Push to Start tech doesn't work that way.
I use one myself and can confidently tell you that the car won't start without the (sensor)remote being inside the car.
In fact, should the remote be moved away from the car after it's started, the engine will go off about 5mins afterwards.

a) How long have you used it?
b) Is it full synthetic or semi-synthetic?
c) Any improvements in your car?

Have not used COASTAL but my last servicing was with Mobil One 5w 30.
Noticed better Engine sound and better acceleration.
Not going back to anything less than that

Go to owode on ketu-ikorodu road, search for your car, or just ask some one by the gate what you need, they will take you to an accidented car, same make, just pick what you want. Should be less than 5k. Don't forget to buy any missing parts including bolts.

Anyone with this model of Corolla: kindly post pics of your stabilizer linkages, sway bar etc.

Remember if you don't have your sway bar there and you want to fix it. Warn that mechanic to lock up your steering before attempting to remove it and fix it unless he would over turn your steering and cut off your clock spring (squib sensor) which controls what ever feature you have on your steering wheel. Trust me man you wouldn't want to go through the stress of changing the clock spring if broken because not every one knows how to fix that. A bit technical

From the little I know, your model of Toyota corolla comes with stabilizer linkages. In fact they are longer than the conventional linkages you find on other vehicles. I am sure like GAZZUZZ said that they must have been removed. I wonder at what point in time that could have happened?

No idea. Just trying to see if I can fix it back

Took my corolla 2009__the one they call 'South Africa' for shocks replacement.
Was surprised to find that this car has no stabiliser Linkage, can't find any provisions for it on the car.
I'm worried cos I was told this would wear the shocks easily; and at worst make the car sway at certain speed.

Please if you own one, or has experience with this car help me confirm that this particular model has no space for it.

If it does, kindly send pics of yours (exact same model).

What's the right oil to use when servicing 09 Corolla?

These guys at Autobrite in Abuja are the best. If you want honest advice and professional car care call them on 08162907680. I have never had any issues with my car since i started using them. They are based in Katampe Hills near Maitama in Abuja. They repair all models of cars with advanced diagnostics scanners that can check all cars and also have an ovenbake respray facility for auto crash repairs and body work. The top guy there is UK trained and can fix anything. Try them cos i am convinced.

Update:

Shocks replacement went as planned; bt to my surprise, there are no sway stabilizer linkages on this car; the provisions (holes) are there on the shocks but no corresponding space down. No rods from one end to the other. Nothing!

My confusion:
Is it possible that 2009 Corolla has no stabilizer linkages (in which case I need nt worry)?
Or
Could it be that everything about the linkage has been 'neatly' removed. I'm already worried abt this possibility and considering having those parts fitted (if there were removed b4).

Car: 2009 Corolla; automatic
City: Abuja
Issue: All out system failure.

Was drivin home few days ago on top speed (140 to 160) then suddenly my 2009 corolla seemed to 'shutdwn', wit d followin comin on immediately:
1. Check Engine light
2. Check power steering
3. Speedometer went flat to zero
4. Mileage also stopped reading
5. Acceleration became an issue and the car just didn't feel like before at all.
To put it lightly, I panicked!
Parked and restarted the car, stil the same. Managed it home all the same.
Because I needed to go somewhere in the evenin, I still drove d car out.
But I further observed that the gear lever which was always warm without AC, felt completely cold.
Of course d gear selection wasn't as before.

After a little googling I loosed d front tires to see if any sensor was out of place. Lo and behold, the right abs sensor was just dangling.

Fixed it back, disconnected the battery heads for some minutes and everything started working, except the speedometer.

Took it out for test-driving and on my way, the speedometer started reading too.

Till today, everything is still working.

Jst amazing such a 'little fault' could throw the car off-balance.

Op; is the ABS light permanently on? Cuz I had such experience on my wife's yaris after changing brake pads, dunno what the mech did, gear was not changing correctly anymore... changing the hub sensors corrected the gear madness after 4 different Toyota repair workshops condemned the gearbox at 45k..

Or its the solenoid switch in the gearbox valve body. It may have been blocked with dirts, sludge due to untimely gearbox service.

Yes the CHECK ABS has been flashing.
I'm not quite knowledgeable in this but the mechanics never suspected the ABS.
