sukachia:Bro,pls, don't get me wrong. Your idea is very good and nice. I give you thumbs up for this. You have even made me read more about the country. The measure they put in place is tedious for folks who live far from Abuja hence,my comment. Australia,Uk,Us etc forums started like this and a lot of guys have enjoyed their contributions. Apologies once again. However, can you give us more insight abt the cost of living, schls, courses and cost ? Thanks |

Long process for that cold country. Chai |
fedorahat:You're right bro.I totally agree with your submission but when those concerned are not doing the needful, lets do our bit by contributing to our favourite section. Until NL has a competitor,it will be hard to see the changes we desire. Happy Sunday |
fedorahat:Why would one dedicate all his time to frontpage. We have different sections, they (admin) push to the fp what they think is best for them. Education section has been helpful for those looking for scholarahip, admission etc, check australia,US and Uk et al travel section likewise jobs and vacancies to see how people have assisted and gained experience. |
fedorahat:That's your tbought bro. I have met good and intelligent ladies on this platform. You absorb what is best for you and make friends with them. |
Let her join nairaland,in six months, you will see the intelligence in her. Let her mingle with great and intelligent ladies on this faceless forum. |
My brother,it is going to be a hard decision especially in Nigeria of today where the future is bleak. Have you thought abt the possibility if combining both? It will be tedious but since you have been in the job for years, you should be able to manovouer your ways. If not,part-time studies will have been much better. I can't advise you to quit that job oo. It ain't easy. Talk to one your boss,a matured woman more preferable. She will talk to you like a son. God will guide you. |
cakez:First class is good but be ready to solve maths & stats despite your law background in the market. HR's take a close look at them, they think they ought to know everything not putting into consideration the course. My brother,I struggle to run away from it because of my experience before Bsc. I did get close though (4.47),I still smile that I didn't achieve it. Let me tell you a story,my HOD in my ppa had 2.2,mphil grade in Msc and currently on her Phd. There was this lady that had first class from a college of education affliated to UI,their cert states UI so,she claims UI. The woman will bombared her with work even the one outside her specialisation, the lady wondered why all these,I said, lets check her class of degree. Lo and behold,we realiased the disparity was given her headache and she was trying to test her ability in a areas. One day,we submitted our application for retainment, she saw the lady graduated from an affliated schl. Since then, she had this hatred for the lady that before completion of nysc, she redeployed to another dept. So,be ready to defend your class of grade at all times. In writing, speaking and other forms because they will judge and monk you due to your class of degree, they believe you should not make mistakes especially in writing. First class is really/solely not about being brilliant but it shows how smart you are. |
kimbraa:So as the third class that is connected. Remember, most of our govs are either diploma holders or SSCE (Aregbesola). |
Hey,forget first class in tbis country except your parents are well to do. You must have read about first class students that the institution they graduated from cannnot employ them, their states cannot do otherwise nor friends and family. They result in scouting and begging for jobs after attaining that grade. Ask those graduates seeking for jobs, the only regret they have is that, they lack entrepreneurship skills. No skill is bad,you just have to make it your passion,be good at what you do and hope to start something bigger. When I see those guys fighting over public and private schools,I wonder if the are going to different labour market. One of lecturer once said, you don't need to.be brainy to have first class, just be smart because the moment you understand your lecturer, the very moment you have passed his exams. I'm not saying, first class is bad but since the labour market is the ultimate goal, why not make first class in entrepreneurial skills and see which is worthwhile after school. |

adebanjo23:The link is faulty. Kindly check |
mikejj:He should face the wrath of the law for his dastardly act. Hope you will not mourn over your supposed relative but if you do,so be it 'cos you're callous while we use money to gain the freedom or manipulate the law for my supposed relative. Oponu. |
mikejj:How I wish the woman was your relative. Ode |
I had the same issue with gtb though, reversed. What I learnt is,you block or don't apply for atm for your main acct. All you need do is to have two good banks that have good relation with their internet banking. Once you need cash, you transfer to your atm acct and make use of it. 52.50k is saving my ass. Tired of complaints. |
If they have the political will, unemployment will reduce drastically. I will shut the border with stiff penalties like,20yrs imprisonment. Buy made in Nigeria goods, grow Nigeria. Locate the dead factories. Advertise and employ competent people that fits into the company. Audit the cost to revive and give them the money with 5yrs tax holiday. The textile, steel and paper mills etc. With this 30% folks are off the labour market Technology should be introduced into farming. All Agric grads and those interested should be given an acre of land with N2m grant to be for a period of 5yrs. Build a standard and comfortable 2bedroom for them on their land. They will own the land afterwards but refund the 2M grant. Since the borders are closed, their will be enough market for their produce. 35% folks will be off the labour market. You pay in tranches to make the work fast. Identify states with good marketable mineral resources aside crude oil. Extracting these resources will give 15% folks jobs and revenue to the govt. Companies that have left due to power should be brought back with proper arrangements to provide power at certain days/time for production with soft loans to kick start all over. 5% folks will be employed. Govt should embark on developing talents. 2% will be off the street. Capacity of the security agencies should be increased for effective security. 2% will the off the street. Identify companies that have capacity of expand. Grant them long term loans. If each state can have factort that produces, cottage industries will come upstream 5% folks will be engaged. Entrepreneurs need power. Intensify effort to increase power during the day to enable production for craftsmen, barbers, small factoriee etc. 12% will the employed. Govt should also employ with some programmes like the npower stuff. Tax should be encouraged Source of funds : Recovered loots. |

ifyclose2:What about nurses? |
edoman2016:This is a good advise and words of encouragement. We should do away with frivolous sentiments. Thank you. |
jaychubi:Shut up. What makes it inferior? What is pure abt economics ? So we have pure biology, agric, bus edu etc. ? That what was you were told while in schl that made you opt for single hons. Utme cut off is now used over board for the past 5yrs so,erase that sentiment. I stand to say, they are better off in all ramifications. I wish the govt can allow polythecnics to award B.tech for you to see how your Uni with 250 cut off has failed you because they will bring out your flaws. It is because the soaked head HR's have refused to widen their horizon that makes them look inferior. That's why they opt for Uni grads without practical knowledge of what they were taught to HND and Bsc edu holders. Someone has posted their curriculum up there, hope that helps. Talk abt the Pgde and let us learn or how will a 3rd class make up for Msc? Ode..! |
realmindz:Do you really know what transpired before the Prof decided to back the baby? No one does so;whether it is moral and humane for the man to do such in an academic setting cannot be justified. However, love for one another especially to young lads should not be thrown into gutters. The Prof's compassion towards the mother should be seen as a way of making the mother's mind undivided. Imagine,it was the pregnancy that made the mother miss the paper and had to re-sit. Lots of things might be behind it. As someone said, we differ in definition of morality, therefore, what Prof did was done to his knowledge about morality. If only our parents can tell us what friends and nieghbours did for us while they are away, our orientation to love will change. Not everyone can afford housemaids or have grandparents to take care of their babies while away. Let us show love to one another despite our background. In all,the Prof is preaching love so,love yourself and others around you. Happy Sunday. |
edoman2016:You're wrong bro. You are one of those who look down on Bsc edu holders but let me tell you, they are better off because of their double honours. They have gone through the pratical and theoretical aspect of the course. Jamb cut off depends on the schl,it's not because of the education aspect at all. Not sure you have checked the curriculum before giving your disparity. If graduates of edu are trained teachers why do bsc holders teach without education background? Bro,try as much as possible to delete that notion that all holders of Bsc edu holders are teachers. They are trained teachers which makes them better off than single hons. holders. Do you know 3rd class Bsc and Bsc edu holders must take PDE or PGDE before they can enrol for Masters programme.? PDE and PGDE are education programmes, you get it now? NB: I graduated with single hons |
heykims:Have you created the whatsapp group? |
aiyeboy:Bro,I have a Tobby brother that graduated from ACE and was posted Bauchi. Can we relate on whatsapp? |
hostine316:Help me ask him oo. Op,you can see an HR up there. Only few people understand the difference. |
Op,the reason behind your predicament is that a host of these HRs don't know the difference between Bsc edu and Bsc. They term it education so,henceforth, use Bsc Econs in your CV for coys and Bsc edu for teaching jobs. As per the private Uni,google will provide the list and it will be advisable you submit your CV in schls around your area. Best of luck bro. |
