Albertone: Thanks,What about the employment oppurtunities? That's a very big question. Both courses are lucrative but in Nigeria, you have to be outstanding and have more certifications. You diversify afterwards in Masters. I studied International Relations, enrolled for professional diploma in education and also Masters in Social Work. I did that to fit into teaching/lecturing and Social Work is hot cake due to instability in the world politics. |

Both courses have little maths involved. Maths is not a core course but in general courses which is usually in 1st and 2nd year. |

FruitfulRay: Wow... the guy has explained that he might have issues and trying to work on himself, its called preventive measure. We all know that marriage is for companionship, but also to have children, that's why we all are here. If I knew what I know now, i'll would have done some things better before getting married.
While we were doing marriage counselling, the last class was more on sex, babies and all that sort, so a doctor who is also a pastor was the one that took us on the course, and he suggested that we do hormonal assy and some tests before our wedding, so if there were any issues, we have time to treat ourselves and know the direction of our prayer. I thought I was great, seeing my period regularly, no need, blah blah blah. You know the surprising thing, the three ladies I know that did it, got pregnant immediately after their wedding, same month.
Is doing the test a guarantee? no, but at least you will have a knowledge of whats wrong, what to pray about before the wedding and treatment option. Like me, if I knew I had any hormonal imbalance, maybe I would have started taking some medication before the time, eat better and know the direction of what to pray about.
Just as you said, everyone with their own way,@onlyme07 please do whatever you feel is best for you, but go ahead and marry her, put it in prayer and God will surprise you both... Sure,I'll. Thanks ma'am. |
Health › Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by onlyme07(m): 11:48am On Jan 03, 2018 |
Roseey0: Marriage in my own dictionary is for companionship first before other added jara. I say this because people with such thinking may end up going outside to make it happen or even end the marriage when their expectations are not met. You both need to be on the same page. Everything will be made possible in God's own time.
In all Do as you want to. Life is personal I understand you very well ma'am. Being paraplegic (spinal cord injury) shows IUI is the best for guys like myself to have kids because we usually have retroactive ejaculation hence my statement above though,in few cases (10%),natural ejaculation can happen. We have researched on it and the way forward is my policy instead of complaints. Thanks for your observation and prayers. Appreciate. |

RipVanWink: oh benin mama, tot ur waka would hv carried you to his doormot since. he is among the top 5 in fertility matters that are reigning in benin city. when i went there, be prepared to spend the a long time, cos the queue no be here, or you can pay 3k for express service. he is a bit old fashioned and trys to save money for the client. did an iui then, though he doesnt wash and sort, just injected the raw semen -- this is wrong, and we didnt know then. so you need to watch out for that. bromo 2,5mg is also his prescription of choice +clomid, hope he has evolved to other methods now. all in all, its a decent place, and affordable. graceland is expensive.have you tried lily hospital?.hear good things about them. only problem i forsee is being an ivf center, like georges lagos, they may want to convince you to do ivf sharp sharp instead of being patient and trying to get to the root cause. the choice is yours though. cos after ttcing for many years, na ivf sure pass, no time to waste Ma'am what was the cost of IUI then? Trying to have an idea. I'm paraplegic ,will be getting married this year and I want my lady to at least be preg before everything. Tnx |

postmann: Your first error is your inability to bring your wife under the canopy of your spiritual fortress where you're her first priest. Had you done that, she wouldn't be a Catholic and you an RCCG member. And who says she will not give to her pastor if she attends RCCG.? The issue looks somehow though. There is no justification for the woman doing suxh but she's the best to tell her husband the reason behind her action. Marriage is always clumsy so,op,thread sofly and don't tag it along religion. It might have been her plans while growing or a promise to God for a loving husband or God's faithfulness to her household or her new year resolution. A yoruba adage says,if you see a home without rancour, ask the woman the magic. Don't judge her and don't let ego set in. The lord you serve will direct you on what to do and see the reason behind her action |

yousouphe: Hello,
You don't get the point he is making! Calendars we use in the world is 2(Gregorian and Hijri calendar) Solar and lunar based calendars respectively, In islam we use Hijri calendar and also have a new year.
He's also pushing that Hijri calendar new year ought to be celebrated too with a public holiday. Understand the point before criticism and insulting anyone. Meanwhile he is a professor and very intelligent. what degree have you attained to insult him ? He is Jamb registrar if you don't know. I disagree with you. He categorically said, the new year is meant for Christians. If you will be sincere enough,is the new year a christian holiday? To me it is not because your calender @ work, schl etc changes to 01-01-2018 because of the calender we use so,why ask for another new year. Will the calender change? NO,it won't so,what's the essence of declearing another new year if not trying to cause confusion. |

You come here come dey para, condemning all Nigerian uni, lecturers as well as the students as if you are better. That is why you are writing 'wrath' instead of 'rot'. 'impact' instead of 'impart'. I see, indeed, you can defend your certificate. Flaws is what you intend pointing, right? Anyways,I appreciate your correction but note, attending quiz or any other competition does not make one a genius,it shows smartness and I am not a genius either. Yes,I can defend it to any length because I represented my Uni at their quiz and essay competitition where we performed excellently. I have bagged qualifications aside Bsc. |

Op,thank God you said "some". I wish we can have someone who served (nysc) in a public uni to open the dearth these uni are facing.
From experience, either private or public, education in Nigeria is wack. Yes,I mean nothing to write home about. The lecturers who can't do research or write good papers for the advancement of education and the country. All you see them do is copy and paste. If I tell you what I witnessed during my service year in a public institution, you will source for funds and send your kids to study abroad.
Op,education in Nigeria is not about private or public. The rot is evident in our society where graduates cannot defend their certificates. Forget about lecturers, they have failed to impart knowledge because they don't have it either. All they wait for is,salary and promotion.
Op,if you want to hear the truth, all uni in Nigeria especially UI,OAU,Lag,UNN etc are all living on past glory. Quote me anywhere. |
