Remember, the report specify the car was in the garage. It could be airtight garage. In my case I can't stay in my car in hot day with all windows up without a/c on for 30min in open air.

I'm afraid the pictures above do not capture some newly developed, beautiful towns in Ibadan. I mean community/neighbourhood in Ibadan is a town or city in some states in Nigeria. Where are the pictures of Oluyole, Jericho, Idi-shin, Ikolaba, Akobo, Bashorun, Ashi, Idi-Ayunre, Eleyele, Bodija, Dugbe, Oke-Ado, NNPC/Apata, Aleshinloye, Iyaganku, Mokola, Gate/Old-Ife Road, etc. These are communities or neighbourhoods you will never pass through when moving through Ibadan in your journey across the country. Most of these areas are like a big town or cities in some state of this country. For your education, NNPC/Apata is bigger than Obalende + VI + Ikoyi + Lekki.

Good day to you all. I so much believe that many a happenings in this dynamic world can only be explained by the Creator Himself. When one has not experienced an event, passing a judgment or rendering a comment will be as easy as air we breath. I had experienced this when I was in primary school at age 8. My grandfather had died at the ripe age of 105. A loving father he was. When the family traveled to the home town for his eighth-day prayer, I saw his apparition walking through the large siting room where I slept through the door and around the house. The usual path he had taken for years to wake all the grandchildren up for morning prayers when we are at home for holidays or festivals. The building I slept is my Dad's and the Grandpa's was also at a stone throw-in family compound settings(Agbo o le). Later in life, based on my religion conviction in Islam that does not believe in what I had experienced and the place of science in this, I have never pondered on this. I told my parents about what I saw, my Dad has no comment but my mother made me realize it has no place in Islam. Since then I have kept quiet about this, this was over 25 years ago. But was in amazement that this discuss eventually comes fore in NL. When my mother -The Best to have happened in my life- died, despite the closeness, the love, affections, that which is indescribable by words, and having died in my hands seeing her lifeless body in that red-lettered after-midnight\day of my life still. She died at age 63. I have never seen her apparition but see her in dream often passing messages. Don't really understand but this indeed was my experience.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police Ikemefuna Okoye yesterday narrated how Mrs. Muibat Salaam, wife of Osun State House of Assembly Speaker Najeem Salaam, was rescued from her abductors.

Mrs. Salaam was abducted last Tuesday in Ejigbo, Osun State, by gunmen.

She was rescued on Saturday in Ogunmakin, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Speaking with reporters while parading the suspected kidnappers in Eleweran, the Command Headquarters, Okoye said members of the Vigilance Services of Ogun (VSO) noticed the suspicious movement of the kidnappers and their victim and alerted the police.

He said the Fidiwo Police Division deployed men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and plain-clothed policemen in the area, where the suspects were hiding in the bush.

Okoye said: “My men moved into the bush and engaged the suspects in a gun duel, killing one of them. Four were apprehended and the others ran away with bullet wounds.

“It was after we rescued the victim that she told us who she was. Let the record be set straight that the police carried out the rescue operation.”

The suspects are Chukwuma Usifo (28), Chukwudi Okereke (25), Ogbole Elijah and Okonkwo Lucky (27).

Items recovered from the suspects include two AK 47 rifles and four magazines with 87 rounds of ammunition.

Okoye praised members of the VSO for providing information that led to the arrest of the suspects and the rescue of Mrs. Salaam, who has been reunited with her family.

He urged the public to be security-conscious and always alert security agencies when they notice suspicious movements.

The Senate yesterday hailed the educational policies of the Osun State Government. It said other states should take a cue from it.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Education, Uche Chukwumerijie, said this while on an oversight visit to the state.

He said others must drop their party affiliations and sentiments because what is happening in Osun is capable of rescuing the country’s rotten education sector.

“The states and the country owe Governor Rauf Aregbesola a lot of gratitude for promptly laying a formidable foundation for education in the state. I will like to use this opportunity to advise other states, irrespective of your political affiliation. You must drop your ego and learn from the people-oriented projects and programmes of Governor Aregbesola.”

Aregbesola said for the country to progress, the interest of the people must be considered before any decision is taken.

He said parliamentary system of government is the essence of democracy.

He said: “The best form of political activity is in the parliament, our nation will not make appreciable progress if it focuses only on the executive, at least the parliament is where ideas are generated, they have the total support of the people.

“Parliamentary system is the essence of democracy. The assembly of the people must not be an expression but it must be put into practice.

“For a country to have meaningful development, it must not be a one-sided means of power.”

Speaking on education, Aregbesola said when he assumed office, his intention was to close down schools for about a year because of what he met.

“What was on ground was dilapidated school buildings not fit for human habitation. The conditions of teachers were nothing to write home about plus the condition of other infrastructure.”

I work in Lagos and drive to Ibadan every weekend, I have done this for over 4 years. I lived around Bashorun, I have heared more that 50 gunshots in a night during this reign of terror. Whenever I'm about to get to Ibadan I will call to ask of the situation in town. I live in a serene area of Bashorun, yet I know of this terror. You may not understand as you dont live there. Ibadan was a battleground wher thugs brandished arms in broad daylight. I pray: "Our Lord! Dont purnish us as this again in our lifetime. Amen!

Ask people how warlike Oyo state was, many months back. How underdeveloped the political capital of Yoruba race was reduced to. Go to the state and ask people about their hope.
