And this is why Nigeria will never progress.

Yorubas are always at war with the Igbo while the Hausa-Fulani sit back and laugh.

Foolish Yoruba!  angry
We really don't need to have an accord with these people, we need to conquer them. And we can do it if we understand their thinking. I believe we are already getting there, which is why some of them (like becomrich) are planning to secede. Na dat time dem go hear am!

I addressed your delusions already,

Like I asked,

Is it by force not to apply common sense when you speak?
It is not delusion. It is happening as we speak and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.

I know this is the delusional rhetoric you guys spew all over the place.

The question is, where is the sense and wisdom in developing other people's land wile yours remains crap, in shambles and getting swept of by erosion?

Is it by force not to apply common sense when you speak?
Let me help you figure Igbo thinking here a little. A famous writer -Mark Twain -said, "Buy lands, for they ain't making more of it".

When we are done with your land, we then turn to ours.  grin

Its no big deal with the way youre talking now its as if you enjoy Lagos more than your own state? Stay in Lagos we didnt ask you people to leave.

you people no get shame at all lol

I dont even think people pay attention to the EAST.
Believe me, I don't live in any part of western Nigeria (can't stay more than one day in Lagos). I own properties ONLY IN THE EAST. My brothers and other relatives own properties in Lagos, much like Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu (Ikemba's father) owned half of Lagos.

I can't stop any Igbo from buying properties in Yoruba land. I would fight in the defense of their properties though if need be.

and whos problem is that? lol I dont know things igbos actually own  that yorubas or even fulanis-hausa do not but if they do own tings good for them, I mean would any sensilbe person turn away a person with Money.

I dont really know any top igbomen in Lagos let alone Nigeria or the World. really like a few everyone else purches something to say they own something not tangible business

lol what worst fear? Igbos living in Lagos wow, theres also hausa there ghanian and liberians etc! What a fear . . not really you cant stop people from living in your area just as long as they obey western values theyre aiight.

Igboland is soooo small which is probably why igbos leave and go elsewhere. Igbos are welcomed in Lagos as well as others. but remember dis is not your land- Whether One Nigeria or two no votes for non lagosians let alone a non westerner.lol
As long as I bought the land fair and square, as long as I am a Nigerian living inside the territories of the federal republic of nigeria, I don't give a damn with what the custom is. If you cross near my property, I will defend it with the last drop of my Okoro blood, and if I have to bring more Okoros from Onitsha, Nnewi and Aba to fight, I would do so. So get that into your two timing skull.  cool

are you blind when he was frolicking with the north. The yorubas never wanted One Nigeria. How many yorubas do you find outside Yorubaland? that should speak volumes!
So why didn't the west simply back out of the independence constitution or negotiate for separation then? It was very doable then and the British wouldn't have done anything about it.
That Yoruba don't leave outside Yoruba land is a BIG MYTH. You need to visit the East first.
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Had No Equal by Onlytruth(m): 9:27pm On Jun 04, 2010
As far as I know, Yoruba have always wanted one Nigeria. The question is: why not have ONE Nigeria. Why the " I keep my things, but I share yours" mentality?

Why not we all share all things together?

Who cares Nigeria can be the fakest country in the world  lol. I dont even blame Awolowo for not pulling out of Nigeria, you think that he would let you guys leave after Zik forced yorubas to stay in Nigeria by conniving with the North to stay One Nigeria. Zik showed that he was not the brightest and didnt want to compete with Awolowo in a southern Nigeria or two different countries because he would Lose.

Zik(an igbo) chose One Nigeria- and thats how its gonna stay. Most yorubas dont care anyway.
Did you say Zik "forced" Yoruba to stay in Nigeria? When?

I think that understanding Awoism and the Yoruba political thought is the key to Igbo survival in Nigeria. I can almost trace all Igbo problems in Nigeria to this misunderstanding of Yorubas. Only few Igbo like Arthur Nzeribe actually understand these people.  undecided
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Had No Equal by Onlytruth(m): 9:08pm On Jun 04, 2010
I wish we acquire the courage in Nigeria to say the truth. In 2010, we have people thinking like Awolowo of the 50s and 60s, and still believe in one indivisible country.

It's like doing a 100 meters dash backwards. Pure insanity.
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Had No Equal by Onlytruth(m): 9:05pm On Jun 04, 2010
I really love this type of conversation because my brothers like Mikeansy keep trying to paint this fake picture of Nigeria.
This is THE REAL TRUTH about Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Had No Equal by Onlytruth(m): 9:03pm On Jun 04, 2010
So, as far as you are happy in the cesspit (since most of you are pigs anyway undecided), all others must be happy with the set up or die.

I have said it before and will continue to say it: peoples of different socio-cultural values have no business being in one country.

Awolowo was a TYPICAL Yoruba man and there is no hard feelings about that.

So, why did he propose starvation as a weapon of war against seceding Biafrans?

I thought he should be happy to see the East leave? huh

No! He wants Nigeria that would be ruled by the Yoruba.

That is why Nigeria will never know peace.

Awolowo sowed an EVIL SEED that destroyed Nigeria permanently.  cool cool cool
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Had No Equal by Onlytruth(m): 8:53pm On Jun 04, 2010
Mention Biafra now, these same idiots will start sh**ting their pants! shocked shocked shocked angry

I'll ask you people again: What do you two faced people want from Nigeria? huh huh huh

As far as I know, Awolowo destroyed the prospect of a united Nigeria through his personal actions and the evil seeds he sowed.

Why am I even lamenting this? Because the same idiots (led by the same treacherous devil) fought again to keep Nigeria one, the same country they permanently destroyed. Amazing! shocked angry
It seems these people enjoy pain. If only my Igbo brothers will see this and take appropriate actions.

Each time some of them talk, I cringe.

You mean in a country separated by regions it made sense for Zik who was non yoruba to contest in the Yoruba region and win? huh. Even if you are trying to say ZIK  was influenced by his American experience, you must be delusional becuse in the 60's that  would have been almost impossible if Nigeria's type of government was the system of government in America. Your argument is strange and am sure you know it, but you would love to be the antagonist as usual, just for the sake of argument
It was not in the 60s. I'm talking about the incidence of the early 1950s when Nigeria was still trying to create a national character, when we could have emerged a beautifully united country at independence. Awo killed all that, such that when independence came, it was a damaged good - a product of chicanery and deceit.

Yes, Nigeria could have emerged a completely different country.
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Had No Equal by Onlytruth(m): 5:28pm On Jun 04, 2010
And I blame Awolowo because, before the carpet crossing incident, the Yoruba was even leading in cosmopolitanism in Nigeria, which is why Zik chose to contest there. How could Zik contest in a backward north? Doesn't make sense to me.
From the carpet crossing incident, the drift apart between the Igbo and Yoruba began. Some of the evil seeds sowed then are now being manifested in the mindsets of the Katsumotos of this forum.

Are you sure about this present day feel-happy and make-for-media-house concoction? I think exploratory research would have uncovered a well balanced, not made for all eyes, historic appendages about African-Americans and USA presidency.

Democracy also guarantees that a citizen can register to vote and voted for where the citizen domiciled. In this case, Azikiwe was living in western region and had every privilege in the books to vote and contest electoral position in western region of Nigeria. In USA, the major factor that will determine if candidate contests an election is place of domicile. During the era in question, an Igbo person contested and won electoral seat to represent Benin city.

Wow!!! I could not believe my ears about these tidings generated by Katsumoto. If you have proffered that Nigeria had been and will remain fractured during voting, why are we deceiving ourselves about one-Nigeria? I guess it is hypocrisy.
Bros Dede1, you better believe what you read from that two faced character. I don't know what he knows about the USA, but he fails to see that President Obama was born in Hawaii but contested for US Senate and presidency from Illinois; Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is from Texas, but represented New York in Senate. I can go on.

The formative era of the Nigerian nation namely the 50s was a time the US was emerging a truly egalitarian society, and Zik being a product of the US education system wanted the best for Nigeria. He wanted a Nigeria where Nigerians can contest elections in areas of domicile. In the US, it takes one year to establish domicile. If there is any Nigerian that truly was ahead of his peers (at least in the ideals of forming a federal system of government) it was Zik. None other.

I hope you see why I keep saying that Awolowo destroyed southern Nigerian unity for ever. With the likes of Katsumoto who wants to eat their cakes and have it, forming a nation between Yoruba and Igbo is almost an impossibility. Which is why we have an arrested development.

Dude, look at it this way. We have tried to get them since forever to fix the roads, schools, etc. Billions of dollars later, NOTHING !

If this is one way to at least get some of that money out of their hands, don't you think we should try. Even if na only 10 Billion of that 77Billion we see at the end of the day, it is still better because it will be money in the hands of ACTUAL NIGERIANS and not swiss accounts and what nots ONLY.

I am just saying  . . .  even after all the potential bad, this might help people a bit,.
This topic is really exposing the level of intelligence of the average Nigerian. People are here yapping on about creating job opportunities, fixing infrastructure, creating national identity. Do these folks realize how long we've been trying to do those? huh

Do these folks realize the type of money Nigeria loses (through theft of crude and open theft of public funds) monthly and yearly? huh They are in Billions of dollars $B! And the thefts will likely continue whether they do this or not. undecided

Do they realize the economics behind this? How many small businesses will be empowered by this?
A spending population is far better for the sustainability of the economy than one where a few spend and cart the rest overseas.

I look at is this way: we have been trying for ever to achieve 24hrs of electricity supply, why are we trying that, since Nigeria is hopeless? Why not throw up hands in the air and give up on that and all other things we are aspiring to achieve in Nigeria? huh

This is a worthy goal. It is worth having around. All we need do is pursue it. And if any government comes around, they would have less free money lying around the government coffers. The strategy is to engage ALL money we have in such a way that would force accountability. When the unemployed and elderly don't get their allocation, they would know that there is a thief lurking somewhere in Aso rock. If you call a million man march for change, the real STAKEHOLDERS (unemployed Nigerians) will show up and be ready to die.

Nigerians, sometimes I don't get you guys! undecided

Thank you kobo (I'd say this for once)

SEFAGO:
^ You are such a fool. Consider the fact that Zik was contesting during an era in Nigeria when people still strongly identified with their ethnic group as opposed to any other group. You are now comparing it to an hausa mayor which is a prolly a different timeline.

What time was this? was this not recent? Ziks case was just when Nigerian identity was at its infancy. Why are you not even making sensible comparisons.
Hey boy, I cannot be your history teacher, so scram!

Also why was Zik trying to be the premier in the West? Were the Yoruba people lacking credible leadership that an Igbo man would try to be the leader of the Western region? Did a Northerner try to be a leader in any region other than his own? Did a Yoruba man try to be the leader of the Eastern region.

You guys should stop this moronic argument about carpet-crossing. What southern unity are you talking about? when was the south united? The question is, what was chasing Zik in the East that he was not just interested in it?
I hope you did not assume that your moronic brother was getting away with his idiotic rants. I merely ignored him just like I promised I would each time he exhibits his typical duplicity. undecided

He is wondering why Zik would want to contest elections outside Igboland and specifically in western Nigeria, but he would deny carpet crossing with every fiber of his being! shocked What a character! So, what are we arguing then? huh huh
Wasn't there a time an Hausa man was the Mayor of Enugu?

Isn't this the whole point of my grouse with Awolowos evil seeds which created mindsets like that of Katsumoto?
So, it is a crime to contest elections outside of ones region. And Sefago was wanting me to prove the Yoruba only vote Yoruba candidates. I don't know what you people are smoking!

Had it being that a Nigerian can contest and win elections in all parts of Nigeria, would we be in the mess we are today?
So what are you people complaining about when Igbos want to secede from Nigeria? huh

When I came to this forum newly, my argument was that peoples of different values and understanding should not form a nation together. When I say that, you call for my head! What do you people want in Nigeria? Oh I know! You want to have Nigeria on your own warped terms.
No chance! It's either we are ONE country or we divide. Simple.

You don't get it, do you? Has it ever occurred to you that we may actually gain more by not having one of our own inside Aso rock? What can all the other regions producing the president show for their years in office?
