Uploaded a collage so it's easier for me to upload and u to view lol. Here's how; Open up the safety pin, twist it around as in the pic. Press the end into the 'pin head', press to close/secure. Add some chains and a pearl.(U could improvise with any jewelry or bead of your choice). The end of the pin(the part which looks like a circle) serves as a permanent jumpring/hook for u to attach to ur neck chain. With a jump ring, attach to a neck chain. Put it on.

Well I'm no guidance councellor (lol!) So I'l just say what I'l do if I were in d@ situation. I'm a result - oriented person and if I'm not getting what I'm paying for/signed up for,I'mso asking for a refund and going off to a better place where I'l get fulfillment. Just think things thru and act cos time waits for no woman :-) |

This wouldn't take more than a minute I promise, just comment on what you'd like to see in d Do-It-Yourself segment on your favourite newspaper/magazine. It could bother on fashion and/or lifestyle(interior decorations, etc). Something you want to learn about or just get tips about...Thx, and I really appreciate you for participating as this is being used for research. |
Thought to copy n paste d intro I made @ d beginning of this thread, thot it might be helpful: 'This section is being created to share our creative journey, xperiences, hassles(help can be gotten from contributors)etc I personally wld post fabrics, patterns, n othr sewing materials I buy/have and post pics as I work, as well as d finished work of course. This would be so much fun don't miss out!' |
@kobojunkie-welcome 2 d thread, sure ur on d right thread though? cos ths thread was created to 'share creative journies n xperiences' for professionals n non-professionals alike. N looking through the contacts posted from phone numbers to websites, u should visit such sites/blogs/call such numbers if u need any help. I happen to run a fashion label myself. |

N this is a bust pad- the sort u iron on as well(all I've sent use d same procedure.lay the side wth d gum on d fabric n iron till it sticks to d fabric) ppl mostly use ds for natives... C how thick it is? ....lol!
|
This is normally called 'gum stay' ts thicker than d first fabric stay,n feels like paper. Downside of using it is that when u wash n all, it gives little bumps n wrinkles on ur clothes.
|
Here r pics of the normal 'fabric stay' I say normal cos dey r used for d basics.this is the thicker kind, there's lighter, softer one. Tuk pics of both sides as well as on the fabric. The 'shiny' side is d side with gum on it n d@s what u place against d fabric n iron. Use moderate heat though not too warm or it won't glue. They come in black, white n grey. This is the black kind on top of a pink fabric. Don't throw d scraps away, they got gum so u cn always 'patch" 'em on fabrics.
