Use a photo editing software(dr might be one on ur fone already), reduce the size (not cropping,I.e resizing from like 1MB down to below 100 or 80kb) n send via NL. For Nl d maximum u can send is like 200kb

I'm so excited to announce this Sew Along exercise coming up soon!

First of all, A Sew-Along is a long - distance meet-up for sewing. Irrespective of location,we all make an outfit together and best thing is, it's freeee!

HOW:
1. A piece would be chosen after being generally agreed upon i.e. we might have to use a majority vote type of thing.

2. Fabrics and necessary notions would be specified

3. A detailed schedule would be published for easy reference

4. Posts would be brief to avoid overloads

5 Photos/links of participants’ fabrics as well as work –in-process and finished projects would be published

6 Myself as well other participants would be on hand to assist whoever gets ‘stuck’

WHEN:
A date hasn’t been fixed as this would also be generally agreed upon, however as soon as entries have been organized, the date would be announced a week before.

WHERE:
Wherever you choose! As it would be an online meet up.

WHAT:
So far I’ve gotten requests for Ankara dresses and skirts, so if you have a particular piece in mind, fell free to drop
a line/photo as we aren’t using a pattern (buying or mailing patterns here in Naija isn’t a walk in the park!) So go through your favourite designers ( Jewel By Lisa has been brought up more than once), and mail me your requests so we can reach a conclusion!

As you already know, a photograph would need to be posted of our intended project.

Now I was working on a particular piece
recently and thought to
save snippets of my work, and make mini-
tutorials as I go along. I
work with bias all the time i.e i cut fabrics on
the bias to create
certain silhouettes, i make bias trimmings/
tapes with different
fabrics as against buying (custom bias tapes
add a certain sense of
uniqueness to an outfit as you can make use
of any colour and type
of fabric you are working with :-)
Anyways, to the business of the day! I'll first
introduce what a bias
trimming is before making it with you. A bias
trimming is a narrow
strip of fabric, cut on the bias of a fabric,
although I illustrated this
in the ankara bangle series, I would illustrate
it again here.The bias
is found at 45 degrees to the straight grain of
the fabric, and is also
called the 'cross grain'.
Here I made use of plaid and daviva ankara.
TIPS:
1. you can sew plaid bias strips on ankara
either to finish off edges or as a trimming for
that afro-contemporary look.
2. you can use your bias strips to
make piping, binding seams, finish off edges,
and so on
3. you can use your bias strips to trim
armholes, necklines (take a cue from buba
blouses), baby bibs, ties and loops, trim
placemats and head rests, the list is endless!....

How to Get Rid of Dark Knuckles Naturally
We do our best and spend lot of time to ensure
that the each and every part of your body is

me some tips on how to fade or lighten them?”

by hundreds of people daily. Having black
knuckles is a common beauty related issue
which can have several reasons like working
with detergents or harsh chemicals, a reaction
to friction, lack of skin care, dryness caused due
to over washing or from any other factors like
weather change etc. You can easily treat this
condition by using home remedies. Read below

knuckles naturally at home.
How to Lighten Dark Knuckles
Take Some Steps to Prevent Dry Skin
As you know, having dry skin on knuckles
makes them more prone to darkness. So, take
some steps to get rid of dryness. Like:
Avoid over washing your hands.
Wear rubber gloves while working with
detergents.
Try to keep the area moisturized.
Avoid using alcohol based products.
Drink lot of fluid daily.
Moisturize your Knuckles Regularly
You can use extra virgin olive oil to give your
hands and knuckles some extra dosage of
moisture. One can also go for other options like
coconut oil or cocoa butter or jojoba oil. Just
massage the area with warm oil for a few
minutes. Doing this regularly will give you soft
and smooth knuckles naturally. Massaging the
area with a mixture of castor oil and vitamin E
liquid is also said to be beneficial. Use this
remedy every night, before bed.
Get Rid of Dark Skin with Exfoliation
Just how you exfoliate your face and hands,
you should exfoliate your knuckles to remove
hard and black-dead skin from them. For this,
you can either use a mixture of brown sugar
and olive oil or a paste of baking soda and
water. Apply any of these mixtures on the
problem site and gently scrub the area for a
minute or two. Do this twice every week.
Lighten Your Knuckles Naturally
Skin lightening using natural stuff is a slow
process and may take weeks or even months so
you need to show some of your dedication. You
all must have heard about the skin and hair
bleaching properties of lemon juice. This juice
also has exfoliating properties. Just apply it on
the pigmented skin. Leave on for a few minutes
and then rinse off. Finish by applying almond
oil.
You can also use a combination of various
ingredients such as a mixture of fuller’s earth,
grated papaya and carrot pulp or a paste of
turmeric powder and milk cream or use a
mixture of powdered oatmeal, sour yoghurt
and cucumber juice. Apply any of these recipes
on your knuckles, hands and elbows. Wait for
some time before washing your skin with cold
water.
Hope these tips and recipes on how to get rid of
dark knuckles at home will help you to solve
your pigmentation problem effectively. A
healthy diet is crucial because vitamin
deficiency is also responsible for dark and dry
skin so include at vitamin A, C and E rich food
sources into your diet.

@ easterbabe- dey arnt very common so's y I suggested paper underneath jersey fabric, n you CAN sew on a concealed zipper CORRECTLY with or without a zipper foot. U just nid t knw how tho it isn't as easy as it is using the zipper foot. Note d@ u don't hav t follw all d tips posted here as they apply to different people with different resources. Thx
