If you work in a company that is striving towards best practice in all ramifications tips will be an anathema.....and this is understandable.

You are paid to deliver at your duty post. Do the very best you can for the customer. If he is satisfied let him leave with an obligation to repeat the visit/purchase.

It then behoves your employer to pay so well (or at least reward you commensurate with your service delivery) that tips become unattractive for you.

I would do the same if the circumstances are right. Owning that with my full chest. I get how annoying it can be when items are posted at over 200% profit but believe me, if you get an item to sell in a market place where there's little or no possibility to compare price, you'll do the same. Not everything is greed. It's just business.

The bolded doesn't hold true for all. We still have people who work based on time tested principles. Even the concept of selling one price for one and another price for another person based on your perception of the buying power or even ignorance of the buyer is rooted in indescribable wickedness of the worst form.
