ONNYX:No recommendations so far? |
I seek a reputable repair technician to handle repair/refurbishment of refrigerators and other cooking systems in our different operational facilities. This is no employment but a contractual arrangement based on single repair engagements. Should you have a repairman you can vouch for kindly indicate with contact details that we can use in reaching your recommended technician. I thank you in anticipation of your support in this regard. |

audububa:Looking forward to the review. How much were the buds? |

If you are sure of this I would like his number too. |
DenreleDave:This is the stuff of Clearance sales. Very fast sale. Happy buyer Happy seller Happy readers. |
TimeManager:You know my respect for Raji Fashola dissipated in 2015. This was my all time favourite Public Administrator. He did two things that shocked me into realising that there are no saints in Politics. I watched him closely on TV as the Ministerial portfolios were being read out. He looked calm and apparently reflective. I felt that he would immediately after that jamboree meet with the President and decline at least one portfolio. He didn't and I knew that he was now an administrative disaster just waiting to happen. Truly, the contracts governing the sale of the power distribution companies were not progressive or result oriented at least to the Nigerian people as represented by the government and worse still they could not be terminated. He said so in different fora and who could know better than Raji Fashola S.A.N? At that point the honourable thing to do is to resign from the position stating your reasons clearly. Perhaps some of us would have forgiven his loose lip proclamation about the provision of public power not being rocket science. |
flore1823:Sometimes I wonder if we actually allow our education to dictate our reasoning. It beats me that several responses have supported the seller whereas the fundamental issue here......at least drawing from the evidence provided by the buyer in the chats exchange screenshots......; Seller advertised items Buyer made his choices from the advertised wares and informed seller. There were delays in delivery .....avoidable or unavoidable but the issue was there was some understanding. Items prepared for shipment and taken to the first option third-party delivery agent; GIG. Photo taken at GIG office with the chosen equipment wrapped. Price exorbitant, second option; Venue Links tried price also high... Please note no pictures at this point. Goods now delivered through a seller recommended but relatively unknown logistics company......I don't remember if there were pictures of the items at this point. Good sent, delivered. Buyer received items. Definitely not what he wanted. A classical case of what I ordered vs what I got. |
Today I decided to embellish my eggs with vegetables just to take the boredom out of regular scrambled eggs or the plainness of an omelette. Pictures below. Ingredients later.

Jackanda1:You need a minimum of three months to prove your actual value to the firm. In all tasks go the extra mile. Become almost indispensable. By the end of the first or second month they will try to preempt your request for a raise by paying higher that what was initially offered. Take the increase quietly and then by the third or sixth month when the picture of your duties and contributions are clear you can sit down and negotiate hard. |
epainos:And you think responding with some civility would do you any harm? Not everyone on Nairaland is your mate Sir. If you met some people on this forum in real life you would genuflect to greet them. Your English is quite good and that should ordinarily indicate some breeding and pedigree.....but alas that is not the case. |
epainos:Is this actually factual? |
Rostikol:This is a very sad. He does not owe you/us. The money is entirely his. He chooses how he should spend it. You too can make money and then decide to build us a brand new stadium and hospitals and free hospitals and schools. We would be grateful. It is only government that owes you these public structures. Allow the man breathe. He has committed no crime. I come in peace. |
I took my time to read through the whole thread. Two very pertinent questions came up as far as I am concerned. If this man was a shareholder in Julius Berger, Nigerian Breweries, Cadbury or indeed any other First Rate MNC a d the company was awarded a contract, would this be our reaction? Secondly, there has been stories of him being the most performing minister in this administration? Should we then throw out the baby with the bathwater? It took a lot of convincing to get Barth Nnaji to come and take a Ministerial appointment. He started a great job and by now going by his antecedents we would have gone far with power generation, transmission and distribution. He was however sent home even when it was obvious that certain powerful elements wanted him out. Even if his success is just the provision of passports for every Nigerian through a hitch fee and timely process then he deserves to remain in that seat perhaps with a strict warning. |
Great thread. Is there anyone here who is knowledgeable about Smart Collection? It's a good everyday perfume to use while the expensive ones can be used for serious outings? Better still...is there anyone in Nairaland selling smart Collection? |
toyeoye:This is very correct Sir. The contemporary use is Tennis. Even though I wonder about how Table tennis will no be described. |
oladipuposadeeq:Bros! I salute. I want to make a little contribution here. The correct usage is Waybill. Weighbill( or sometimes weightbill) even from it's simple etymology became acceptable because of preponderant use. That however doesn't make it right. A similar example can be seen in the use of long tennis to represent lawn tennis. However after all said and done what is most important is effective delivery of meaning...... communication. |
Sangoamadioha1:You are expending a lot of effort to make this gentleman look bad before us. You even went as far as assuming.......and even broadcasting the assumption that being a former M.D he must be involved in some dirt/fraud or another. You will have heartbreak the day you did over that some people have attained great heights in government, worked their bum off without stealing a dime from public coffers. If you had listened to the interview you would have known that this man is one person who tried his best in the circumstances he worked. That's the best he could offer then and that's what he did. |
OssyMalik:Okay. Best wishes. |
OssyMalik:It's a good brand but unfortunately, it has a lot of competition in the mainstream market. The poster that offered you 5k is quite generous. It's a fair price. Around Ikeja underbridge you will get this product for between 3.5 - 4.5 depending on the product origin and your bargaining ability. Then again your sourcing price will also determine the selling price. If you buy at a high price you cannot offer competitive prices. And then there is the looming issue of delivery cost which further soars the cost of acquisition. Think about it. |
somethinghot:Put up your phone number here. I will get a client to call you today and you can then delete your details. |
somethinghot:Are you still interested in a job? |
Cyril009:Quite me on a dead thread with your phone number. I want to refer you to someone. Only if you are resident in Lagos please. |
dalass:You will only create more poverty in the land. |
Zeus123:At the bolded.....I can tell you there is nothing funny about Achebe in global literary circles. The man is an iconoclast who keeps rising like a phoenix even after his death. I have been to a few literary events and I can tell you that the very mention of Achebe always lightens the room. By the way, perhaps Google will help you appreciate Achebe and his exploits better. Why not try finding out how many languages his work has been translated into. That should give you a general idea. Pls I am not Igbo. Just a Nigerian who appreciates accomplishments. |
Babysho:You have done well for yourself. But I bet you don't belong to this generation who do not understand the mystery that lies in words. That you grew up in Nigeria and you read the books above shows that you are more than an average reader. |
thatigboman:This is a very objective appraisal. Ola Rotimi is a jewel of inestimable value. |
Okolo3662:This is really not fair. |
Orente21:Yes,..you may |
