Light can never be stable in nigeria. The force behind electricity in this country is just so much for any government to handle
PoliticsCan Nigerians Ever Experience Non Light Interuption In Nigeria? I Doubt by onoerime(op): 2:41pm On Oct 13, 2014
I felt i need to ask. What is really happening in the nigerian power sector? Since the privatization of the energy sector i disagree to agree that there are visible improvements in the sector. The only difference between the old phcn and the present transmission company is the voluminous increase of electricity tarrif. What is the cause of failures in the power sector? Is it lack of capable hands or the Capital, or pure wickedness? Can't the whole of nigeria celebrate one day of non light interuption? Which people are behind these sabotage? Could there be a change for better improved electricity in nigeria? I doubt.

conyema12: habibi not all Nigerians ohh...infact where I work in the middle East I am well respected. Perhaps this is because of the way I carry myself..... always full of self esteem.

One day I was travelling via MMA . We all queued up for boarding pass when one of these FAAN guys brought 4 Chinese guys to jump the queue, infact they were placed in front of me, Nobody in that long queue altered a word...I just jeje rolled my box and occupied my position infront of them. One of them spoke something that sounded like English mixed with Chinese. .me I just hala my Igbo..enyia odi ka isi adighi gi mma. The chinko just cooldown.

I feel we are part of the problem. If we dont complain how will our labour right be fought for. People just keep quiet and swallow the chinko poo.
there is big problm here, even if you or collectively rise up to fight; who will defend ur right? Is it the corrupt leaders or the corrupt labour unions. I bet u any individual or group of persons that trys rubbish will be thrown out of the gate

Reference: Today in my service delivery 7 out of every 10 of my clients has a primary concern which is cost. I have lost clients due to my inability to 'tighten up'. Even those who started out as purist quality seekers are now value seekers. They take quality for granted because competition is tough. The only card which I play and which works for me forever in Nigeria is the integrity joker. As for survival I have to constantly look for cost savings, I have to work hard and of course the staff have to sacrifice as well.

If the Chinese are to survive in Nigeria and undermine their more established Euro-American competitors, they will have to keep costs low. As an individual - graduate, trainee, professional, consultant, whatever my advice is: work hard, improve your competencies, 'moderate' your demands and maintain your integrity and dignity. You will succeed. Stop complaining.
this man must be an insider

topsyking: look guys.. wen you say chinese or indians are maltreating nigerians it depend on de class of people dey are maltreating..can dey do dat to any educated and professional no,,, dey can only do dat to labourers and dose dat doesnt no deir left from right.. dose i never chop people...
who is educated in a Chinese company? In as much as u v volunteered yourself to them, u must dance to their drum beat or quit
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Are Chinese Companies In Nigeria Maltreating Nigerians? by onoerime(op): 6:59am On Aug 14, 2014
xp17: its the culture of Nigerians to pass blames to the next person for their misfortune. if really you train yourself enough to standout, no one ll treat you like a poo.
the simple truth here is , they treat you the way you present yourself and the stereotyping of anyone on light skin as sir or ma'am.

sometime ago, I was at MMA, flying to Frankfurt (germany). I was kinda talking some pictures when one immigration guy walked up to me in an attempt to seize my phone .right there , I reminded him on how they lick white men a'sses , like "would you seize aa white man's phone if he does likewise" ? immediately, the guy shamefully left.

I was so pissed off and shouted at those officers who usually ask for money at the departure. they be like "you get problem with person before" . even the guy that stamped the passport, I directly told him how fuvcked up It's to be a Nigerian force.

not until you guys change you ideology of "a white God" you ll continue to receive mal-treatment from them.
why not go to your office in the morninng and start doing your job, instead of looking for who to praise ?
I no they even send most Nigerians errants that are out of their Job specifications.

democracy in book, but not applicable in real life.
God abeg oh!
the only presentation one has in a Chinese company is just to walk away

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Are Chinese Companies In Nigeria Maltreating Nigerians? by onoerime(op): 1:50pm On Aug 06, 2014
OkikiOluwa1:
1st Bullet

The Nigerian government & Nigerians are the 1st molesters! The FG has failed to develop & protect Nigerians. The Companies Act on employers rights is dead!

2nd Bullet

Workers do not v the right to complain about salary or wages when they are employed. They v the opportunity of negotiating before employment. The only complain or question they can raise is when there's a clause for increment. So... in my opinion, those labourers taking N15,000, N20,000, N30,000 etc took up the job because they agreed with their employers.

3rd Bullet

People should learn how to fight for themselves by seeking Human Rights Commission offices in their State. Any employee that's maltreated should run to them. They are helpful if well seeked.
They should also ask questions from their employers like clauses in their contract or employment, if there's going to be pay rise at a particular time or a pay rise for extra service. Any job that is not worth doing from the start is not worth doing till one is sacked or resigned!

Last Bullet

It's a pity Chinese, Indians, Lebanese & other Asian companies v taken advantage of Nigerian government's laxity in protecting her citizens.
I can mention names of companies in Lagos & other parts of Nigeria that enslave their staff. Tech-Mahindra, Mikano Generator, Jubaili Bros, most of those Asian companies in Ikorodu & other parts of Lagos State. They practice modern slavery?
When your government, Nigerians also enslave you, you are at everyone's mercy.
pls don't blame the workers, the Nigerian government has refused to create jobs. If there are job opportunities in this nobody will take up their jobs. Even the so called human rights will they work for free?

It is no more a news that the Chinese companies in Nigeria are indirectly enslaving nigerians but I am wondering why the federal government of Nigeria has kept mute to this barbaric acts of these people. I shall carefully pin points some of their misdeeds maybe the appropriates bodies could read and come to the aids of nigerians.
SALARY SCALES... I want to use China civil engineering construction cooperation (Ccecc ) as an example.
Labours- between.#15000 and #21000
workmen_ between #27000 and #31000
STAFF- between #45000 and #50000

WORKING PERIODS- 7.30am-6.00PM @30 days that means no rest days.
PENALTIES... penalties for offense committed could range between #5000-#20000 and could be deducted once from your salary.
JOB SECURITY- insecured.
Apart from salaries paid, no extensive employee packages. No health insurance, no paid time off from work, no retirement plans for workers, workers are fired at will, what pains me most is a Chinese man beating up a Nigerian because of a slight offense. Sometimes a whole salary could be seized just because of an offense. Why, why, why, these Chinese men are highly respected in Nigeria yet nigerians are enslaved home and abroad. The labour unions will come and do investigations but nothing happens thereafter. LAMATA pretends as if they hear or know nothing hmmmm. Can nigerians go to other countries and allowed to act this way?

Descartes: Good development. smiley
If only the gas pipelines will be adequately guarded against the vandals, who are hell-bent in making sure they defeat its purpose angry
you are complaining of pipe vandalism; is the main grid ok?
PhonesRe: Airtel Has Launched Internet Plans For Android Users by onoerime: 8:26am On Jul 23, 2014
Well, my observations is that blackberry subscriptions also has their own limitations. Their subscriptions does not power 2go, operamini, youtube and other third party apps. So when you pay for bbs, other extra charges can accumulate upto another #1500 depending on how often you visit those third party's apps. I still prefer Mtn 4.5gig as the best options for now
PhonesRe: How To Download ANY YOUTUBE VIDEO Using Your Blackberry by onoerime: 8:58am On Jun 28, 2014
LecturerIFE: I prefer "ss" method, it works just fine. This is how it works: search for the video of your choice from Youtube. Click on the video from the results. Replace "www." or "m." (If you are on mobile) that precedes the video link with "ss" and send. Select the video format and quality then save. Example: if the video link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=US&hl=en-GB&client=mv-google&v=m-R-WxRNQQ8, remove the "www." and replace with "ss." so it looks thus http://ssyoutube.com/watch?gl=US&hl=en-GB&client=mv-google&v=m-R-WxRNQQ8 and send.
NB: MP4 360p displays well on all blackberry OS, MP4 720p displays on blackberry 7.0 and higher. FLV formats only display on PC.
You can either use your default browser or Opera, but the Opera must be set to desktop view for it to work. It works perfectly well on PC too.
sometimes link not found. For android users download tubemate.
