Education / Re: Which Subject Teacher Did U Hate In Secondary School??? by onome710(m): 5:32am On Aug 15, 2014
I know saying 'Maths' is kind of cliché but damn! I hated my maths teacher and well, like others it resulted in me not knowing maths. Lol.
To the point, I am embarrased when my lil bro brings 'somewhat' simple maths assignment to me for help. I just 'forward' him to my sister who is a maths guru (Had an A1 in this WAEC).
My maths teacher made maths look like some ancient-alien-wisdom that no one could understand! And he was wicked! Or so I thought. Lol

I also hated my 'Oral english' teacher! The woman sounded like she had a big frog hanging down her throat! We all knew she was a typical ibo woman out of the class but sounded like the one who thought the britons english!

I loved my English teacher; Mr. Kola. Although he intercepted a love letter from me to my highschool love then. Hehehe. He beat shii out of me & didn't touch her. I liked the way he called me 'Onome, my boy' and the way he suported me when other teachers said I was stubborn, he'll say 'Onome, my boy is not stuborn, he's hyper-active'.

I miss School!

Music/Radio / Re: Late Dagrin Vs Olamide...who Is Better?? by onome710(m): 8:20am On Aug 04, 2014
Honestly, I feel it is not totally fair to compare the two as one is dead and died at his peak. And you and I knw that if he was still alive, there probably would not have been olamide or he would have been small time.
But we should also hail Olamide for filling that void.
Music/Radio / Re: Olamide Vs Phyno....who Is Better?? by onome710(m): 8:13am On Aug 04, 2014
I'll say Olamide.
Here are my reasons.
He has been in the Indigenous rap game for longer years.
He has been consistent.
He has filled the Dagrin void rather well.
He has sick flows and lines that get you thinking.
He has dance tracks too for the party loving fans.
He has more commercial value.
He has more street game. Although phyno comes close too.
And Yoruba
His hit songs can easily outnumber that of phyno.

Don't get me wrong! I love phyno and infact you'll see me hailing my street guys 'Alobam' as I hail 'em but wen it comes to the indigenous rap game, Olamide had paid the dues.
Romance / Re: Is It Ever Okay To Date Your Friend's Ex? by onome710(m): 8:00am On Aug 04, 2014
popobaba: For me, it's a NO NO...none of my friends should date my ex.

Why? Is there any law or custom or social belief that states that it is wrong?
If they get to find themselves in it. What will you do?
And you didn't say if its a No No for you to date your friends ex.

What if you meet a guy somewhere, you guys become friends and then you later find out that he dated your gf. Will u break up with her?
Romance / Re: Is It Ever Okay To Date Your Friend's Ex? by onome710(m): 7:55am On Aug 04, 2014
I am in such a dilemma now. My friends ex and I have been friends even while they were dating. We lost contact and recently started talking. We hang out and enjoy each others company. But I am playing careful.
I feel the way we are going, we are gradually building something.
I don't know what to do?
Stop it? Tell my friend? Go ahed?
So confused.

Hmmm... Which food doesn't pose a health threat? Well, only God can save.
I try to make my food my medicine by eating mostly organic food and avoiding junk and canned foods. But we all have to indulge once in a while. You don't get cancer by eating 'em not too often. Lol.

U mean to say 'Camp gas' it is advisable to cook outside ur room. Incase of incasity may occur.
If u are done, u turn if off properly and return to a corner of ur room to avoid 'ole' doing u strong thing!

In any case it is wiser to Prevent than to seek cure. Be wise!

iwakolewa: Hi, put the cylinder far away from your cooker when it is being used, and please ensure that your kitchen is well ventilated always (i.e. windows are always open). You can also install a small gas detector in your kitchen which can detect gas leaks, and give off an alarm if gas escapes from the cylinder or cooker. undecided

Always ensure your valves are properly fitted and the pipe/hose does not leak. Get a technician to service your burner like once a quarter to ensure that all the soot and grime is removed from the burner so that nothing disturbs the free flow of air.

Finally, get a good fire extinguisher in your kitchen with a clear indicator gauge showing the level of foam or extinguisher material in the cylinder, and learn how to use it in case of an emergency! wink

Thank you.

The best answer so far! Good Insight!

Very nice paintings. Nothing pays like doing what you love and you're good at and then getting paid for it.
Its like the most lucrative business.
E.g; Football (Ronaldo, Messi, even our own Mikel), Painting (Your Brother), Athletes (Okagbare) and other things that involve talent or handwork.
More ideas to his 'tink tank'. Amen!

They are pretty cool. Very exciting but still doesn't change my stance on tattoo's.
I can't get one. Not because of religious doctrines but because I love my body the way it is. Its perfect!
Besides they usually if not always have side effects and puts u at risk of skin cancer. And then imagine when you're 75 with sagged skin and the tattoo looks like a 5year old did his colouring assignment on your body.
And then the way thee society looks at people with tattoo's. They may appreciate it but they still see you as 'irresponsible'

Nairaland / General / Re: Your Wife Or Your Only Son by onome710(m): 1:15am On Aug 03, 2014
In as much as it is a matter of life and death, it is quite easy.
1. If my wife is still young and of child bearing age, I'll save my wife, we can have as many sons and daughters as we want. I would be sad to loose my son though.
2. If my wife is not of child bearing age, I will let her decide and as a mother we know she most likely prefer the son to live.

This is just similar to the popular question of; If you, your mother and your wife are trapped in a near death situation and you can save only one person, who will u save?

I was confused and didn't know who to save and who to leave behind so I asked my mother and she said 'My son, in that situation, if it ever arises, choose your wife, I have lived my life, the fact that you are grown enough to marry shows that I would have been a lil bit 'old' and therefore I don't have much to do again in life. So, save your wife. She is your family and all you have at that time.

So, anytime I'm faced with that question of choose btw your wife and mom, I pick my wife and state my mothers reason as my reason.

If it were you. Who would u save? Your mom or wife?

If this stadium contain this number then it should be the biggest in the world.

But why didn't chelsea take advantage of this to bring him back so as to fulfil their quota of English player in a team and also it would have been a source of motivation for fans and the team with Lamps bk.
Anyway, if I were him, I won't kick a ball against Chelsea while in man city.
