You have to be certifiably insane to live happily in Lagos. And it has been like that for DECADES. A livable city shouldn't SMELL, and roads should be "walk-able" (there should be sidewalks on inner city roads), and of course there should be storm water (or completely underground) drainage system. Nigeria still builds "gutters" in new developments. The gutters may be covered sometimes, but they are still there. Sometimes I wonder whether Nigerian civil engineers are totally incapable of building underground drainage system. There is no city in Nigeria with city-wide storm water drainage system. Correct me if I'm wrong. And the roads are also too narrow! No wiggle room whatsoever. Roads should be WIDE WITH SIDEWALKS ON BOTH SIDES! And the problem is not limited to Lagos alone. I cry each time I see new area developments springing up in the east, because what I see is future Lagos in the making. Maybe Alex Otti may hold some hopes due to the drainage I saw him building in Aba. Otherwise, hope no dey o. |
Mrexcell:That is the "Nigerian wonder" for you... The funny thing is that everything they use to identify themselves is Igbo. "Ndokwa" is Igbo word meaning "to amend or correct or fix something" "Ukwuani" is Igbo word for southern or downside of a land. Ndubisi is an Igbo name that even Yorubas use to yab Igbos regularly. Chukwuemeka is even most igbo. SO, you find that everything about this group that published this is a lie and deceptive. Don't be surprised that (and I strongly suspect so) some Igbo-hating official in Tinubu govt. is sponsoring this group to talk rubbish and insult their own common sense. Everybody in Nigeria knows that these are IGBO PEOPLE. As for state creation and being included in South East, If we don't get a STRONG message from the people there to reaffirm their Igboness, they should be forever excised from the rest of the Igbo nation even if heavens fall. I strongly believe in FREE WILL and FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION. What the rest of us in South East really needs is to focus our God-given abilities to tilt Nigeria's economy towards the South east. We don't need any extra state! Going to divvy up states out of current South east will further divide our people and make it harder for us to unite in executing plans for our greatness in Nigeria. We currently have 5 states, but South East is the fastest developing zone in EVERY facet of development in Nigeria. We don't need these distractions. Time no dey! |
Namaster:Guy you dey vex o. ![]() @The bolded words above: Touche. |
Oga before you divorce your wife, check yourself first. Take this to the bank, the woman a man MARRIES speaks more about the man than about the woman. You MARRIED your heart. QED. I put my smart money that before you married her, she MUST have exhibited similar levels of this type of flippancy (glib talk ext). She was only flippant (careless with words), that's all. Trust me "the dog that actually bites hardly barks". Think about this. Before you destroy your young marriage (just 3 years), take deep breath, look at yourself, ask yourself why you became so angry about this glib talk by your wife. I have advised women here severally against marrying insecure men. A woman that marries an insecure man can NEVER have a happy marriage. Quote me. You need to go and watch some similar stories laced with stiff humor (laughter) by "Mr Macaroni" in Youtube, especially in episodes where he battles his nemesis "Makanaki" who mysteriously always appears near Mr Macaroni's wife "Mummy Wa". ![]() After laughing your heart out, call your wife, sit her down and tell her how you really felt, and watch her reaction. Too many insecure and immature men getting married these days is a threat to the marriage institution. ![]() |
Fiscus105:First of all, calm down because you clearly jumped the gun by concluding that I exonerated him. I didn't. He said that he gave "the devil a good fight". Apparently he truly fought for his marriage, but it failed. He praised his wife, called her the love of his life, and lamented that he would miss her. These are not words from a man blaming his wife alone. He clearly (implicitly ) blamed himself too. Let me guess what happened to his marriage... He married a good but incompatible woman. That incompatibility led to so many "devil" moments, and he tried to hold on, but kept fucking up. He tried but that "devil" (of incompatibility) won the war. Their kids blamed him for those Bleep ups, and side with their mom, so he holds no grudges against them, because they won't understand why he did what he did. He exonerates them and wishes them well. Now, he fears that he may die alone, but he says that even lonely people get decent burial. Lastly, he advises any man thinking of marriage to marry more than one wife just in case he finds out that he is incompatible with the first wife. This is what I understand from his post, and that is why I said my heart breaks for him. BTW only men who have been married for years can remotely understand what he is actually saying. |
JAMO84:You see this your question? It needs a book. |
My heart breaks for this man. That second to the last line words are only for the wise tho'. Take heart sir. |
Sir Ketumile Quett Joni Masire (Botswana, in office from 1980 - 1998) : Consolidated the foundations laid by Sir Sereste Khama. Julius Kambarage Nyerere (Tanzania -1964 - 1985) : Needs no introduction: Arguably the GREATEST AFRICAN STATESMAN. Bar none. |
Sheistoopretty:E shock you? Dey dia dey play. On a serious note, sometime ago (in another thread ) I said that if a white woman loves a man, she can go to hell with him and do anything to make him happy, some of you attacked me. But facts are facts... One of these days, y'all will wake up to find all your men gone. Snagged by other nations. |
confusedlady:You post truths ... like 24/7 ANTI-IGBO If you are female then I am Taylor Swift. ![]() |
Biglittlelois:"intellectual and political" discourse? More like IGBO HATE and ANTI-IGBO PROPAGANDA 24/7 on nairaland. Your gaslighting won't work. ![]() BTW people from "that side" have solid antecedents here dating back years. We know how they operate. When they can't match Igbo man's doggedness, they grow fake puxxy and bra overnight to mask their cowardice. THE IGBO HATE ALWAYS GIVES THEM AWAY. |
In international diplomacy, there are occasional slip-ups (or moments of truth) when truth jumps out. This is one of those moments. Can this happen to a president of a Egypt? Heck no. |
confusedlady:At bolded, no, I came to this conclusion because women don't have testosterone as men, and it can affect how AGGRESSIVE they are on comments. Even when they have strong views, they don't have staying power to push those views. Na so God take make am. If you are a woman, then I am a female complete big fat puxxy and big fat mammary glands. ![]() Guy please man up. |
Slytiger:This is also fake news. You tribalists are the greatest threat to Nigeria's greatness.
|
Let's help the tribalists to understand what damage they did to Nigeria, and why this happened.
|
JagabanB:Patriots support election riggers because they come from their tribes. That is how great nations are built abi? |
JagabanB:Oga Obidents in such instance becomes the real patriots and I pray daily that they gain power by any means in Nigeria such that the fires of hell can be quenched for at least a while before you tribalist servants of hell re-ignites it again. 8 disastrous years of Buhari was not enough. You had to add more shege. Dey dia dey talk trash. |
My problem with @ confusedlady is that "She" is likely a coward "He" masquerading as a female. And most of such characters come from "the yoruba" side of Nigeria. Checked her posts and they are 99% laser-focused on anti-Igbo comments. I wonder why these people can't at least own up to their gender while attacking Igbo. Which kain cowardice be dis? ![]() |
wow, that didn't even take time to appear here. |
Richtaiwo:So, which is the lie? That Tinubu was ignored or not? Don't worry soon the video will appear on Youtube. The man was standing behind other African leaders looking on to having a handshake from Ramaphosa, but he was ignored. I watched it several time and felt real pain how low Nigeria has fallen. There was a time when we had respected presidents, but satanic tribalists didn't allow that to last. |
Well there's a video making rounds in social media where Tinubu was completely ignored by SA president Ramaphosa while greeting other African leaders. Nigeria's president looked like a houseboy who managed to find his way among leaders. He was simply ignored. A whole president of Nigeria. Chai. |
For starters Karma does not (and cannot ) exist forcefully across the board. If it actually exists like that, then we would not have the type of narcissistic sociopaths ruling us for ever over all our prayers. So Karma must be something mentally and spiritually VOLUNTARY. If you believe in it, it would become YOUR PERSONAL REALITY. As for married women sleeping with young men, it is not a new thing. It is an old human thing. In precolonial Igbo land it was even institutionalized (that is the woman's husband even gives permission). In those days, they had practical ways of solving such practical problems. The problem with monogamy as brought by Europeans and we pretend to practice is that it is governed by HYPOCRISY and cognitive dissonance/living in denial. A man would lose ability to "get it on" but he would vow that his wife must never have sex. And even threaten to kill any man who ventures near her. How is that realistic? The result? The wife gets sexually frustrated and become very wicked; taking out her sexual frustration on innocent househelp or husbands family. Wonder why Igbo women these days demonstrate this wickedness? Now you know why! People should be real. Sleeping with a married person against the spouses consent can have serious consequences. But it may not be karmic, If a man kills you for sleeping with his wife, that is a faster repercussion than any Karma. Just saying... |
viccy12:Touche. I totally surrender to this your bolded point. EOD. |
Amah70:Firstly, "Njaba" is not "Orlu". Names matter, a lot, and I made this point in my OP. But even at that, only "Orsu" groups like the Ihiala LGA may be interested in that, not groups in Ekwusigo LGA and Orumba LGA. I know these things because these areas are my backyards. Someone from Umunze would rather accept you mistakenly calling him or her an Aguata person, but would take serious offense at you calling him an Orlu person. Ozubulu, or other groups in Ekwusigo may forgive you for calling them Nnewi persons than you calling them Orlu or orsu person, etc But someone above made an excellent point about this whole thing. And the point is that "Anambra" has become a brand of which its citizens are very proud and want to continue associating with. Current South east is POLITICALLY STABLE, and that has been responsible for its rapid development. Why change a winning formula? |
Amah70:This is not true. At all. And that is because you have Nnewi North and South there too. You also have Ekwusigo LGA there too. You may talk about Ihiala (I need to confirm this first though), but even that is a stretch. And when talking about political/cultural things, please forget about the Catholic church districts. We are talking about POLITICAL leanings, and you need to show me political proofs to support your view. Most of them are also "Nri-Awka". As I mentioned already, their representative at the national assembly is already kicking and screaming NO to the idea. Until you get me politicians from the area supporting the idea, you are not landing any points. |
Ofodirinwa:As far as I know, Umunze has belonged with/to Aguata from wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back. Orumba is a new thing. EOD. |
Just imagine this type of question. Should this even be a question? I know A LOT of Igbo born and raised in KANO that speak NATIVE (as in their local village dialect) Igbo fluently -in Kano. Most them go back to do secondary school in Igboland. A typical example is this Nollywood star Zubby Micheal. He was born and raised in Adamawa, and yet he speaks Ozubulu (his home town ) Igbo as if he never left Onitsha sef. Oga check yourself wella. ![]() |
onuman: onuman:I bolded the only justification you really have for breaking up people who don't want to be broken (Thank God that their own representative at the national assembly actually spoke out forcefully in support of my point, while you focus on OIL AND GAS). When I said that the people are TYPICAL Anambra people, that is my point: We (Anambra people) don't focus on natural resources while making serious political decisions that cuts into sociocultural things that outlive political ones. The people I mentioned believe in HUMAN resources (what they can do with their own hands and minds) more than oil and gas. You can easily verify this point. I would wait till their politicians and reps come out openly to support your view before conceding this point. Meanwhile your gaslighting "Nazist-like" badge you are preparing for me won't stick. Reduce your emotions, and maybe, just maybe you may see my point. |
Ofodirinwa:I can tell you for free that Ozubulu ALWAYS caucus with Nnewi organizations abroad. Umunze go along with Aguata ones. You are omitting these two and focusing only on the "Orsu" people, which BTW includes Ukpor, Utu, Akwaihedi et al. All in Nnewi South LGA. |
