good evening VO. good work you are doing here, God bless you, merry christmas and a very happy new year.
my question is; for a family in f4 visa category, is there a visa fee due at interview, is there a separate fee for the green card they ll be sent upon arrival in the USA.if yes what are the fees fro adults and kids respectively. thank you.

VisaOfficer:
Good morning,

If the petition is still with the National Visa Center, you should contact them to inform them of the new baby. If the petition has been sent to the consulate, you should notify the consulate. The ability to add a child to the petition also depends on the visa class. Family preference visas can have derivatives added to petitions, while immediate relatives cannot. If the visa class is for an immediate relative (e.g. the spouse of a U.S. citizen or IR1 visa), the child cannot be added and the petitioner will need to file a separate petition for the child (IR2).

I hope this is helpful.

Regards,
VO
Thank you very much Vo for your response. Its an F4 visa. Will contact NVC after Labor Day . Thanks.

I am departing Nigeria tonight and am rushing around today to get everything finished! So, Nairaland, this is goodbye! Goodbye until next week, anyway. I'll still be online to answer questions until my successor arrives in Lagos.

I'd say a big sentimental goodbye, but I'd rather leave that until I sign off for good. Today's goodbye is just a temporary one. See you soon!

kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss
will miss you. Thank you for all u did for my family and I. Is it possible to leave that gorgeous hair behind.

(You [or she] wrote that we have those names not in the order on the passport.) Also, what's the expiration date on her visa, please? Thanks!

Good morning ma, its been so long. Not been feeling well at all. The dhl number wasn't going thru so we decided to give them enough time. My husband finally picked them up this week. Thank you and God bless you. One of my names is missing a letter, blanch instead of blanche in the visa and on the package and not in the order in my passport.. Do we need to worry?

We can't schedule an interview until we know your DS-260s are ready. As we e-mailed you earlier today about the screenshot: "We have forwarded your email to the appropriate unit. We urge you to wait patiently for a substantive response." That means we're working on it. smiley
Good evening Ma. Pls I humbly ask: like how long are we expected to wait. We are a bit worried and the last time we got the message " we have forwarded........wait patiently for a substantive response" , we waited for about 2weeks and didn't get it. Pls ma I hope you understand our worries and please use ur good office to help us. We did our medicals since oct/nov and its quite hectic(cos of the kids). Pls do not take offence. We are just worried.

It sounds to me like your name and your children's names have not been added to the case in our computer, and that's why you can't access them. Your case number and invoice ID will be the same as your husband's. Could you send us an e-mail at LagosIV@state.gov asking us to add the names to the case? We'll also need to know genders and dates of birth.

You don't have to pay to access those applications, but the lady in the reception area was wrong to say you don't need to pay (unless someone already paid the fees for you). Derivatives in IV cases are also charged for the interview. You can pay the next time you come to see us. Meanwhile, I'll go instruct the lady in the reception area...
good evening ma. please as you instructed we sent an email to LagosIV@state.gov but the reply we got was that we should contact NVC for case numbers for the kids and I. but the last time we called NVC we were told that since our names were added in lagos, the lagos embassy is responsible for adding our names. we are really being tossed about, its not pleasant at all. please help us out. should we come to lagos?
