What do you expect from the Liberian-based Nomad. He has refused to grow up. Check out his contributions elsewhere. I liken him to the proverbial slowpoke that grows in stature but not in wisdom.

You got that right stillwater wink I swear so help you if you read my notebook. I have had it since i was 15 and it has stories, poems, drawings, passages, proverbs, i guess a little bit of everything. But if anyone tried to read it, for one thing it is quite are hard to read and confusing, and two not even the freaking FBI would be able to find it.

I don die for laughter here. I can imagine his thoughts when he read your diary because all along, he thought you were a virgin.
Oh gawd that would just be the ultimate situation. Thank goodness i keep my notebook in the most secure and isolated place a person could find.

good way to exploit. Give them an illness and then sell them the so-called cure for it. That is what religion in Nigeria is.
Huxley i know you have your views of religion and what have you but you doesn't mean you should go around and belittle them.

MC Usman:
You just have to deal with it and get a life. Take a look at the numerous videos on "NIGHT OF A THOUSAND LAUGHT" it is always Ijaw man no de carry last. The Igbos seem have vanish.

@ Onyinye2 see this as a wake call
Are you serious? You are basing your information from a comedy show? How sad!!! You need to wake up and smell reality, Ijaw are good but you can't compare with Igbos. I'm trying to start any tribe against tribe, but you will never see the day when the Ijaw hold one of the three majorities. So grow up and get a life.

Wake up and smell the Starbucks cappuccino.
Oka let me put it as simple as i can. It will never change. No matter how much of your false logic you want to spread, the igbo people and culture shall stay. You don't like it nsogbu adighi. Because that is how it shall be.

MC Usman:
The facts are staring and glaring. You see my views is that in the usual manner of the biafran wannabes, they cannot see it because the rush for money has caused them visual impairment. Either you like to believe it or not, Ijaw interests have taken over the Ndigbo interest in the consciousness of the naija people and politics in general. A good example is that the Igbo’s are the preferred candidates to VP in any Political dispensation headed by a northerner but now the reverse is the case.
So what you are basically saying is that instead of it being Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo, it should be Hausa, Yoruba, and Ijaw?

I don't think either one of you are ready to be married.

Nwoke:
Not financially ready to be a husband

He is basically doesn't seem to have a secure future

Nwanyi:
You seemed kind of selfish

You don't seem to have job

You don't seem to be very mature yet

You don't seem to know the true meaning of "marriage"

You don't seem to understand that a marriage is not a walk of peaches N' cream, there will be tribalations

You don't seem to be willing to sacrifice

My 40 cents (screw 2 cents)
I think a marriage is 50/50. That is what i feel. I think both parties should both put in to a marriage and make sacrifices. Doesn't seem that you are willing to put little to nothing in this marriage and guy seems to be putting the most. If you knew he had no schooling, you should have used that women's intuition, and knew that things werent going to be that easy with a degree.

Romance › Re: What Do You Think? by onyinye2(f): 4:39pm On Aug 04, 2008
Nwannem, im just saying that this woman could be working and that still not be helping. She might not want to enter a marriage in debt and so many financial issues. She just wants to be in a stable marriage. In a sense she is being quite selfish and stubborn but in a sense she is sort of making a point.

@nwanyi
simple explanation my dear,
simple greed and selfishness.
thinking of a temporal solution not a lasting one.
Nwannem, im going to have to disagree with this.I mean a woman's biological clock should be considered unless you are not looking for kids. She could be working and helping out as much as she can. But the man might still be having some trouble. No one wants to enter a marriage with debt and money issues.

Missy B:
We are not yet certain if she works or not.
Very true but i doubt it.

izeek:
missy b,
what exactly is your point,
that a guy don't also have a biological clock,
when would we stop making the world all about women and their sex deprived issues?
she is  weaker,
she is biologically handicapped,
she has to make certain of her future by keeping double dates,
they are who they are because of the awful nature of men.

has it ever occured to u ladies that u are also the problem of your own very selves.
s@post has no issue to complain about.
people marry when u notice that your man is loving and has alot of prospects, (which she attested to)
no not the ladies of  this days.
u all want ready made men.
has it ever occured to your small pathetic brains that some other lady helped make this ready made man?
where were u when the readymade process was going on.
shallow as u all are, u want to come and reap from a someones labour,
some other girls toil.
Nwoke, please explain the highlighted portion.

@Missy B
You do have a point there. I mean most woman want to have children. But in a marriage you have to make sacrifices. She herself should go and get a job to help support them. Me if i see that im ready to be married but my man aint ready money wise, then im going to start hitting pavement and go find a job. Instead of eating rice in front of the television.

Nna david, give the girl a break. It is not that the man isn't ready, it is her. She doesn't understand what it means to be married and be a wife. She is still thinking like a single woman.

Nne, you are mightily forgiven.

@ post
Oka i know you just trying to look out for yourself but that is not what a marriage is about. Oka i admit yes i can be stubborn and want things my way, but i know that i have to make sacrifices for the ones i love. You can't just leave the fella, this man might be your soul mate. And by you leaving you basically making yourself sound like in a marriage the money comes first then the rest. If you want to leave, then leave. Just pack your things and go. But watch you regret every foot step you made out for the rest of your life. You can't be selfish.

And David you said that i was stubborn and selfish.  tongue
Romance › Re: What Do You Think? by onyinye2(f): 3:43pm On Aug 04, 2008
Dang and people here tell me that im selfish and stubborn. Oka gurlie you are going to have to learn to be flexible and patient. If you can't for something like this then you are truly not ready for marriage. Because a marriage is all about being there for the person and being patient. And you lack that. Just wait you might hit the jackpot with this fella.

Romance › Re: The Pursuit Of Happiness by onyinye2(f): 2:57pm On Aug 04, 2008
To me happiness is me sitting outside under the sun. I sit there for hours at a time and meditate and get in touch with my source, my soul. I breathe in the refreshing air and take in the energy of the Earth. While i meditate, i think of all the things that i have achieved, all the trials i have over come, all the mistakes i have made, all the successes i have made, all the people i have hurt, all the people that hurt me, the love i have gained, the love i have lost, the rivers of tears i have made, and the path of righteousness i have walked, the mornings i wake up with a smile, the nights i cry myself to sleep, the days i feel as high as the clouds, the days i feel lower than dirt, the moments i know that God is with me, the moments i feel that i God has forgotten me. When i awake from my meditation and rediscovered my soul, then i know i have achieved happiness. Because i know where i have been, and where i can go.
Hmmm, funny thing is, most times people find their own happiness in putting a smile in other people's face.
Others, their idea of happiness is "wonderful marriage" or children. but why?
This is a real hard question. To me happiness, is making my parents proud. And seeing my teenagers see what they are truly capable. To obtain happiness requires work as much as anything else. To obtain it depends on what you consider happiness.
