WTF!!!

Really Afam?? Really??

What kind of nonsense was that you wrote? What foreign media are you talking about? Nigeria? A country that can barely recognize its Olympic team so they are suppose to recognize a NIGERIAN outside their borders? Oh hell no. Please don't get me started.

I don't care what you have to say, but I am Igbo. You and all your little people who disclaim people because stupid shit like that can go where the sun don't shine.

This is the main reason most Igbo people I know have problems with people who grew up in Nigeria. It is absolutely ridiculous. Same with my family. Went to Nigeria when I was young. People disclaiming me because I was born abroad and what have you.

This is the crap that make me want to vomit. You can't tell someone if they are Igbo or not. You are no more Igbo then I am. So quit with your "Holier Than Thou" attitude because this is exactly people turn away from the culture. And I really don't even oblige against that.

Ridiculous.

One question though, when a younger generation Igbo, who can't speak well, speaks and messes up, is he/she often corrected?
Onyinye, do they (your parents, family members or any other fluent Igbo speaker) often times correct you if you say something incorrectly? Regardless of whether or not they find it funny, do they still correct you, telling you the correct pronounciation?
Yes/no. Most of the time no. They are too involved in their laughter so I just end up leaving and never asking them again. And it has gotten to a point I truly don't ask my family for any help regarding learner because my past experiences just won't allow me to.

Arggg. . . . . . You know that's why we can't have good things.

Every dog gone time Igbo people are involved in something, some stupid ishh goes down. Thats why we can't even have a Nigerian Independence Day Parade anymore down here. Cause they always bring trouble. Now they just cancel the whole thing.

At first I loved this thread. I mean the Yoruba people had their music thread which I loved too because the music was all that. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO can Igbo people have ONE peace thread here. . . . . I think not.

I give up with the ppl on this thread. I'm so glad I don't get on as much.

It's cute Phoenix. . . . . . .

But here is a writer's tip.
What state of emotion or thought were you in when you wrote this?

My best work on this thread were all written after I had mentally put myself in that position. Like when the "Role Play" thread was up. I made myself feel the emotion to whatever subject given.

So when I see a title called "Control Freak", I want to feel the intense of the piece. I want to feel like I'm the one in the story/poem.

You get what I'm saying. . . . . .

*Cough* *Cough*

Yeah Chi Babes. . . . . . . . I'm going to have to ask for a possibly more "easier" assignment because it is actually harder than I thought. I mean I would listen to my people speak and everything and I would understand but when it came down to me actually writing it down, I mean I literally cracking my brain trying to sound it out and then write it out. And when I finished writing, I knew for a fact that it was wrong and would just get frustrated and well you know the rest.
CultureRe: Igbo Language And Nigerian Pidgin by onyinye2(f): 12:51am On Feb 11, 2009
Okay then Chi-Babes. . . . . . . I guess that means I will have to go over what I wrote before I submit it.

Echelon . . . . . I like your score system. If it were that way here in the states, my grades would be through the roof.

davidylan:
what is even more sad is the fact that you seem not to be mature enough to understand his point. You havent even been close to a reall relationship before . . . when you get to that stage come back and offer "advice".
Sorry if that sounded rude but i had to lay the facts down.
You can take back your apology. Because it has the same meaning as when Cayon uses "Peace" to end every statement.

Back to more important things. . . . . David. David. David. I just love how you know all the happenings that occured in my life. Especially coming from a guy who has never met me. Knows not a damn thing about me. But still feels he knows what goes on in my life. That is so cute. Everybody let's join in and give a standing ovation for David's mystical powers as an online psychic.

For the sake of your intelligence, don't assume anything about my life. It is just tacky and meaningless because it is never true. And it just brings down your value.

Anyways back to the Poster's faulty story, yeah your advice is worth 5 Stars. Especially coming from a man who gets his daily adrenaline rush from pissing off Muslims. But will go around and tell others as a Christian they should leave their spouse. Oh yeah David you are really mature.

I shall bow down to Master David. For he is truly the Enlightened One.

I still think the Poster is lying. I don't believe a word his says. Unless he is that blind or the woman is a witch and put him under some spell.

This guy doesn't need a wife. He needs to go back with his mother. Then think about if he is really ready for marriage with a life partner. Because right now he is just looking for someone to baby him for the rest of his life. You can just tell by the arguments he tried to put up. So sad.
FamilyRe: I'm Thinking Of Walking Out Of My Marriage by onyinye2(f): 10:03pm On Feb 08, 2009
I think the poster is leaving a HUGE chunk of his story out. There is no way in hell that his wife could have concealed herself so well you couldn't see she was trifling

I think it is either he is leaving something out of his story or he really sugar coated his side of the story. Because it sounds so damn faulty.

Cause you know I'm anti-submissive but like WTF game recognize game. How the hell did you not pick up on this?? Something aint right. Too many loop holes.

Until the truth is actually told, there isn't a damn thing any of yall suggest that will help this man.

Pull yourself together and be confident. Stop acting like height is all that matters. Ain't nothing more worse than a dude who ain't confident in himself. You might as well become asexual if you continue on like this.
