No mind them. They are just making a noise. The only thing I still need clarification on is why those who weren't paid also got the refund message, something isn't clear! Does it mean there's an error in their written account and no such error exist on the part of phone number?. As for those with double or triple, they must pay, no mind them

I don't in any way doubt the authenticity of the *REFUND* sms, as a matter of fact, anyone with double or triple alerts should get ready to refund. My own concern is this, my closest paddy got NOTHING, when people were rejoicing about the first alert, nothing showed up, second one came, the same thing, third one came, same story, now they sent the refund sms, he was the first to get it, WHY?

My random guess is thinking along 2 lines.

1. It’s an inside job. (Money laundering most likely)

2. It’s a scam. Most of these government database is prone to hack and most scammers are able to get contact details easily. A scammer going through this thread would have seen that majority of those that claim they received double payment are those that did interview on July 10th, 2nd and 1st. They open an account with the name King Ayam, create a bulk sms platform, get the contact details for those that did interview on those aforementioned dates and boom here we are. That will explain why those that didn’t receive a penny were sent the text also.

When this kind of issue happened during my Nysc days in 2017 and some people were paid twice, Nysc contacted the banks which they used to pay and a lien was put on all the accounts, those that was affected had to go to the bank to resolve the issue. I believe this is the way NNPC would have resolve this also if it’s true and official.


I might be totally wrong but these are my views.

Based on your second point, check this guy's response. Not only those paid by king were notified concerning this "refund" saga.

I was still serving when I was receiving various text from people saying “they are my friend in Nysc and they had a job waiting for me in shell bla bla bla” They even got my deployment state correct. I got several of those text when I finished serving also.

First question: How did they get my number? Your guess is as good as mine.

NNPC has been communicating with us using NNPCCAREERS suddenly a text from NNPC Abuja is telling you to send money to a certain account and you say it’s legit?

You can go ahead to refund though, I have no problem whatsoever with that.

N.B.: I didn’t receive double payment neither do I receive the text.

Thanks for your detailed explanation. The last line caught my attention and on that note, I wish to ask, what do you have to say about those non alertees who were told to refund the money!

Thankio. My point, before people got the hint about the changed portal, they believed the Sms without email back up to be true. So why are they now doubting the authenticity of the refund stuff?

After you got yours, did you care to know how those who got only the Sms sorted themselves out via the barcode and the printing stuff?

If they are sending to all numbers paid on same day/date, why did the alert not get to some people but the message got to them for them to refund. What are they actually refunding? Something that didn't enter their account? What could be wrong?

My dear, I don't think it's a scam. For them to have used bulk sms shows that they are genuine. But my problem is, why sending to non alertees too? Does it mean that there's no proper record of those they've actually paid and the number of times they did?

Refund the money now o. Hahaha even those that were not paid at all were told to refund the money. How about those that got paid Thrice? Just asking for a friend!

Well! I really don't give a damn about what people say about people giving hint on expected interview question ! Whether you say or not say who dem go pick na him dem go pick. I benefitted a lot in this forum esp. On NNPC recruitment , recruiters aren't even strict with procedures they show concern and give hint so why would you not help fellow on this faceless forum. I got to the center around 1pm, started my verification process you will get green file fill it with your photocopies, credentials and CV,. You go to the point of verifying your invite letter, from there to credentials verification. After you will be usher to amphitheater which we used car park today, from there you listen to your name to be called up to the panelist.

Interview question
My project in school, unsafe act with traveling by road, where I am best fit in, nnpc knowledge.

Its all about you, your basic knowledge of course of study, you CV not even your work exp, and safety.

I applied as an EH. My experience wasn't a pleasant one. My panel constituted of really elderly persons 3 females(Mamas) and 2 Men(Papas). I was taken aback immediately i got in. They were not even smiling not even when they had just resumed from lunch. Started with 3 situational/behavioral questions which i think i answered comfortably as i was able to relate to work experience, then 2 technical questions(with sub questions) which was rather random(almost abstract) and not related to my CV work experience, i answered fairly, i think, then another question on NNPC; a difficult one. I was asked to mention 5 somethings of NNPC operations(Not subsidiaries), i could only come up with one top of the hat, another technical question which i just mumbled the answer and then HSE question with 3 sub-questions. I answered like 60% correctly. In total had 8 questions with like several sub-questions.
Baring a miracle, i think it is curtains for me on this one . Wish everyone the very best.

Hello fellow NLs! I'm new here although I've taken out time to read through the thread right from the day I saw invite for the test. I took off from the 1st to the present thread, I've never commented. So this is my debut comment.

I'm so sorry for those who think that by sharing just the STRUCTURAL PERIPHERY one isn't playing a fair ground to them as they supposed. Truth be told, my performance at the interview was spurred by the amount of information I've got right from here: I've practically consumed ALL thread about the NNPC recruitment you can find on NL from several years back til present. So, I guess it is only right to arm to the teeth the next generation coming forth who may seek this LAYOUT.


My NNPC Interview Experience:

My time was slated for 9:00am that day but I was at the venue at 7:18am just to ensure I avoided stories that touch the heart. It was then logical to conclude that I had to wait for two sets (7am & 8am) to finish before I go in as a 9am candidate. So I quickly approached the buildings (4 towers) but was instantly addressed to move back (this was by a military man, him no even fear say this guy wey appear so in this wicked suit fit b sth big poo for here already abi workers they carry placard for head na him I no know) for security reasons that I should locate a tree which was a stone throw distance from the towers. I heeded to instructions and left (before I go do strong head allow 'ahua' dirty me and my suit?�).

On getting under the tree, I met other people who were also waiting. Quickly some ladies engaged me into talking and we had nice conversation together before we were called for the 9am set.

We lined up like a troop of ant soldiers and moved in that accord. A man was busy shouting saying, "If your ORIGINAL documents isn't complete go back oo." They finally ushered us in a beautiful scene I've seen for a long time now and we were given instructions about what to do and safety lectures were also rendered in case of emergencies of which no one prays for. From there, again they move us to yet another more beautiful place, the amphitheater, this place is as chilly as a deep freezer but all thanks to my insulating suit I managed to stay calm and cool. While at this amphitheater, names of people were called and their panels send ushers to them for conveyance to locate their place of interviews. I waited about 1.5 hrs at the amphitheater before I heard my name. I quickly came out and another lady too was to follow with me in the same panel so we both will be interviewed. The girl no dull. She quickly introduced herself to me (I wonder where my mind flied to that I forgot courtesy - on a good day na me suppose start sef) I did same and later told me she studied Chemical Engineering of which I said the same too. It then soon appear to us all that our panel 16 is for ENGINEERS!

The usher finally led us through an 11 floor tower (via an elevator) and finally we reached. We met a guy already waiting and we joined him. I began to perceive my stomach rumbling. I quickly located their topnotch rest room with its sophisticated facilities and defecated (I no dull at all man gat free himself of some internal air. In order to do well, comfort is paramount). By the time I returned, I met the lady alone. Of which not up to 5 mins she too entered and I became next in line. After 20 mins she came out. My CV went in 6 mins later I was summoned.

When I entered I greeted the panel with reverence but not without boldness. They are all 'senior men' in the oil and gas sector and here I am before them. The Chief Panelist addressed me, "We have seen how good you are on paper (national awards o ti kpoju) your performance is very impressive and so we think meeting you in person will be good to know you." He urged me to see this as a mere interaction and never to look at it as an interrogation. I nodded and said thank you sir for this privilege.

Questions began from my final year project work which appeared on my CV about biofuel (remember at this point the NNPC recently picked interest in this field hence little wonder I didn't see them waste time asking me the usual question of "May we know you". I gave them a piece meal of everything about biodiesel. The next question came about how I can add value to them. I perfectly answered that to the extend that the whole panel applauded and I was asked to give 4 answers to questions on safety which I did give 3 and on hinting the 4th one, them come help me as time no dey.

Finally, I was asked if I have a question. I asked them mine about how prepared are they to tackle the impending competitor they are about to meet in the person of Dangote (this dude is coming with a massive refining capacity). The Chief Panelist says, "Assumed we employed you, how will you help us tackle him? " I quickly gave them my prepared solution as I knew the question most definitely will be a boomerang hence the reason why I threw it in the first place. I was glad it all went well and at exactly 20 mins it was over.

I actually just comment here so that by the time I'll first herald the news someone will not say we've not seen you here before hence I'm lying. I look forward to seeing those who will succeed alongside with me as colleagues at the state oil firm... Cheers!!!

N.B:
1. Maintain your cool as confidence is key.
2. Tailor your CV to them in a way you can defend everything you put in it as most of your questions may come from it.
3. Do a lot of research about the company (I prepared as though I'm going for MANAGERIAL position and not even EH position but as a GT, I armed myself as though I'm the GMD going to have a press conference).
