Lie! He would be allowed 'cos he would be part of the oppressed religious minority which the executive order covers |
author=mekaboy post=53230458]Most times a lot of Nigeria say "Wetin concern Nigeria and Trump?" . But I want you to know today that Donald Trumps actions is capable of dividing Nigeria in a violent manner.brother, you now want us to join Biafrans after they have suffered. Pls it doesnt work that way. While i am happy you now reconise their dream is is getting real, i must admit its late for us to join. Thats why i campaigned for us to start our own movement but the likes of you were busy mocking Ibos and faking Ikwerre handle. |
Fear of Trump |
My people should always read before jubilating the ruling is temporary and only applies to around 150 people who arrived at the airport but detained. It neither stops the massive deportation nor ban from 7 muslim countries proper. |
O0ni:those of us learned in yoruba history, culture and tradition know our history not your myth. Your moniker is as fake as your submission |
latsy:so you want me to believe that our patriach was a sky diver? |
They should give jagaban some because he is internally displaced. |
There is no need lying and decieving people. We are actually from Benin kindom. Oduduwa/izoduwa our patriach fled from Benin and ended up in Ile ife. Ibos founded Ile ife but left when oduduwa came. Most of our cultures are inherited from benin eg Oba title. There was no Oba here in yorubaland before 1940. We only had eleko in lagos, alaafin in oyo, ooni in ife, ajuwale of ijebu(who came from sudan) etc people who dont know our history should stop revising it because we have a very recent history unlike benin. |
it sadens me me that none of us my kinsmen have come out to proffer solution. Instead we are blaming innocent Ibos. So bad. |
orunto27:hmm...you are still asking. Have u forgotten abacha already killed shehu musa yaradua already and obj waiting for his turn before abacha's Ibo allies prevailed on him to pity Obj. We already carried green leaves and placards around south west and it yielded nothing. |
coolitempa:they have come for my head. They want me to hide the truth but i will say it. |
OreMI22:this is the problem with us. Leaving substance to pursue shadow. Where did i mention any tribe now? |
We southwesterners really need to adress this issue because the table is fast turning on us. I cant seem to understand why the north treating us like this despite decades of unalloyed loyalty to them. They seem to always reward us with punishment instead of support. We have sacrificed so many things to make them like and appreciate our loyalty yet they treat us with disrespect, disdain and kick us around like nothing. We first sacrificed Ilorin to the fulani, sacrificed afonja our military commander, over the course of history, they used our sage awolowo to fight Ibos. They instead of making him president, they rewarded with the title of "the best president Nigeria never had" and he died upon taking rat poison. They also used Benjamin Adekunle to fight the war. When we won, they shared to booty among themselve, leaving our black scorpion with no oil well, and not even a decent house. He died unsung while the Ibo rebel ojukwu was given a state burial, is it good? We cannot forget dele giwa, we cant forget Oladipo diya. It took diya a bitter wail on national tv to be spared by Abacha Again our son, abiola won an election but was killed. We were not even allowed to carry placards in Abuja. Worse still his wife was killed and the accused is said to be working freely in the streets of kano. Neither abiola nor wife is being remembered today. Is it fair? We remember OBJ, if the Ibos didnt intervene he would have died like the rest since he was already seeing his last days in prison. Notice that almost these our heroes i mentioned above tasted inprisonment at various stages of their bridge building careers. Today jagaban appear to have fallen out with them again after they used him to market sai baba. They have cut him to size and are planning to hijack his party. They have used and dumped us again. They have dumped jagaban so hard that his ass is beginning to leak. They might even jail him if he doesnt stop playing rambo. Today we are no longer one, while Ibos and Niger delta are agitating for self determination, some of us like afenifere want restructuring, some want odua republic, some want seperate status for lagos while some like tinubu want subservience to north. What shall we do? All odua clans, including those under fulani should gather let us discuss the way foward now. |
this must be within our axis |
Is kannywood also an industry? One day i put African magic Hausa and lo it was an Ibo movie that they reworded into Hausa, just like they change philipino into English in movies. I felt betrayed. My people here in west have embraced that trend by making wack subtitles. We yorubas and Hausas should try to be original. We should not be doing things because Ibos did. Ibos make 85% of all the profits through nollywood and their nollwood is known worldwide while our yoruwood and kannywood share 10%. This because we are not original. Its not good. |
Hmm |
Ibos have a communalistic culture .Thats why i like our own culture. We are respectful to our elders. Our culture requires that we must do ten rounds of press up in front of our elders each morning, even when we are wearing our agbada parachute. |
I hope emir Gambari is aware of the meeting. Pls they should always take permission from the host before any meeting to ensure peaceful coexistence between our people and the fulani natives. |
CliffordOrji:be proud of our identity. |
Sheggy13:emi omo oshogbo ![]() |
We must endeavor to say the truth all the time. We yorubas cannot start claiming ownership of lagos simply because aworis and eguns accomodated us. Aworis and eguns have been good hosts to yorubas and Ibos. We must acknowlwdge that. |
I envy Ibos |
I learnt he promised all the workers a bag of rice each while our governor here in Osun is still constructing the longest airport runnway. I dont know if the runway will connect heaven. Only God will deliver my people. |
Op there is no need resurrecting this again. This has since been proven that yorubaland starts in ogun and ends in ondo. Kwara is fulani owned, lagos is owned by egun and awori. We yoruba never even claimed lagos and kwara so there is no need accusing us. |
mokybb:there is no need getting emotional about this nice and very educative thread. This is not about who is more civilized, it about knowing our hidden history as yorubas. Is it because this intellectually sound thread described us as bush people? Counter it with fact |
Proffdada:the problem with us is that we like to deceive ourselves. the president, vice president and minister of state for petroleum have all admitted that economy has been shut down as a result of the militancy and your are here playing the ostrich. how many oil dependent countries is suffering recession? |
Proffdada:but our country has almost collapsed since he was arrested. all these militant groups that have shut our economy into recession got inspiration from his message and they started since he was arrested. do you think we will continue to finance budget through selling of national assets? if we continue like that one day aso rock will be sold or, one day a whole state will be confiscated by IMF as collateral for Nigeria's debt. please let us be reasonable here. |
victorvezx:this is not about being Ibo or denying my yorubaness because i say the truth. its about saving the country from total collapse. the people we are fighting hold the knife and the yam. they are making use of it and our economy is suffering it. |
...since then our country has been sleeping, and now she is about to die. |
Proffdada:Dont you think we made mistake in arresting him 'cos Ibos now see him as their hero. Moreover if he continues staying in prison, a time will come when his release will come with a prize. |
Is Nigeria really becoming worse than Somalia? |
