Proud to be Yoruba for once! |
The op must be demented. It's like saying Jews called themselves Israelis instead of Jews. or we Yoruba's prefer oduduwa to Yoruba |
She even described her purported marriage to alafin, Yoruba second in rank as perturbing to "family friend and colleagues" We know a fine lady like this cannot accept to marry alafin but this is actually humiliating to the Yoruba race and Oyo people in particular. |
Righteousness2:You are wrong! The basic duty of a wife is to be a destiny helper of a man. If an irresponsible man gets married, a good wife has a way of making him more responsible. If a man is at war with his family, a good wife reconciles not furthering the war! Remember, the gift of God bringeth joy and addeth no sorrow. Be a musician, a prince, a king or any noble professional, a loyal wife should only be judged by how well she helped his husband get to the apogee or top of his destiny. A man must strongly defend his wife, if a woman has a goal or fantasy which fundamentally alters the general interest of the man and his family, the woman is a bad seed that must immediately be uprooted and thrown away. If a man falls from royalty to commoner like harry or falls from stardom to a whiner like peter because of their marriage, then such marriage is not of God. Delilah and Jezebel are not bad examples for nothing! It is an abomination for the tail to wag the dog. She is married into a family not the other way. |
I believe that the biggest problem facing marriage today is the 21 century conception of love brought by the whites. Anybody who "feels" any attraction for another calls it "love". They get attracted to evil creatures and marry them. Wives are help mates. That is why God demanded submission and loyalty from them, not love! Real love is not attraction, it is more of goodwill. That is why only Superiors love subordinates. God loves man, Man loves wife and parents love Children. The only way for a subordinate to love a superior is to obey him. Children are called to obey their parents, wives are called to submit to their husband while God told us that those who love him are only those who obey him and keep his commandments. You cannot separate a man fro his own family and claim to love him. Never! |
Monogamy:stop coming off as senseless. No, a good mother wants the best for her son. And it happened she rightly believed Lola wasn't good for him. Not just his mother, his senior brother and his own twin brother were all against her. If, in any way, you think they would have allowed a stranger destroy their son, then you need to check how you were raised. No good and well raised lady separates a man who relates well with his family when she marries him. Any good girl would have left the marriage. It's not worth the fight. BTW, the word in bold should be 'supported' , Mr prof. |
Monogamy:What do you mean by "mainly" between his twin brother? peter has problem with every member of his family, including his mother! Now, that's a prodigal son. |
We Yoruba's are handling it with sophistication and maturity. |
My people, it is such a shame that a major ethnic group like ours no longer mind fleeing from their homeland because of the unbridled lust for aso rock by our corrupt leaders, and we are being incredibly docile about it. |
Which ethnic group marry their own women the most? which ethnic group have the most successful married women career wise, in corporate world, business, entertainment etc? Which ethnic group has the most family oriented culture that also gives women a place in decision making? -- all Ibo! Ibos love their women the most. Hausa do too but they are too clingy and see women as a prize they own. That's why you hardly see their women in the highest level of the career ladder. But they are far better than our people Yoruba's. Out of the major ethnic groups, we Yorubas marry our own women the least. There was even a time on twitter our guys joined Ibos to troll our own sisters. It was even Ibos that defended the Yoruba girls at a stage. a Yoruba guy's first priority is to marry Ibo girl, if it fails as with most cases, he tries calabar, then Edo or delta. they only marry our sisters when they fail at this. Our guys are easily polygamous, even when the wife gives him enough children, and in many cases allow the woman to to provide for the family. |
Obalatule:Fulanis are burning down our villages and we dissipate the few energy we have on Ibo threads. Something is wrong with we yorubas, really. |
where then were these ones called Fulani? |
Statement made! |
seunmsg:did our people support her? |
nairavsdollars:It's just policy differences. Trump has no personal issues with her. |
Finally, our region is turned to middle belt despite all warnings. |
Sometimes when we say we are accommodating it confuses me because we've had up to 20 bloody clashes with the Hausa's here in Southwest since 2015. |
pointblank247:That's why our region is becoming a better place. |
RIP to them. How many times will this make front-page? |
If it pleases bandits they can kill hundred million, the victims' lives don't matter. You are only proscribed when you question the basis of the country's unity. This kind of unity doesn't appeal to me. |
looks like he can no longer stand straight. say no to alcohol. |
We were warned. |
Hope Gucci pay people for these coded ads. |
So long as they were sentenced for the act itself, it's OK by me and for the society. |
The worst is that this creepy dude appoints my kinsmen all over his administration, making it look like we are the the beacon of gay practice in the continent. or are we really that? I stand to be corrected though. |

...In your best interest I love the bank |
of what use is tinubu to us? |
Mynd44:why would you bet about who owns cattle when the nation's military is making people slaves and supplanting them from their homeland? |
I saw that too. BBC anchor noted it as well. |
Nigeria is a useless country with a terrible media. The media in Russia, India Japan etc cover events in USA much more cautiously knowing full well that the US media themselves are part and parcel of the political struggle but the "news" carried by the Nigeria media merely reflect the views of the incredibly left leaning mainstream US media. No wonder nobody takes them serious outside Nigeria. |
