It's not surprising that young unmarried people now celebrate 'babymama' syndrome which should be ashamed of in decades past. Yet these people have everything it takes to wed and remain in wedlock.
It is the sign that the end is near. undecided

Most governors are the same. No difference in parties when it comes to looting. It is only on social fora like NL that you see people fighting dirty for these united politicians

That means the Vision 2020 of Yaradua for Nigeria to be among the 20 biggest economies by year 2020 is automatically coming to pass.

Lesson:
Have a vision that is bigger than you. Because even if you are not there, unseen forces will bring it to pass

Properties › Re: Help!!! Landlord Gave Me A Month Quit without reasons by opalu: 6:58am On Feb 10, 2016
6 months is the standard. I have some guy and his family living free in my duplex for the past 5 months now. Because he has a lawyer friend advising him. I do not like involving my company lawyers because they are like wounded ' Tigreses'. So I just want them to pack out at the fulness of time at least for the sake of their children (I love children). But the parents are too proud and obstinate.

I advise you to use wisdom mixed with humility except you don't dream of owning houses that people will live in some years from now

Fyguy, I have questions for you.
1. Tell us what soil formation we are talking about.
2. Have you done the soil test?
3. What type of blinding do you want to do? Ordinary blinding or improved type?

I thought you were a structural engineer, at least that is what you claim to be ?
And what is it with the comment about pay him, IS THERE A TIME YOU EVER VISITED MY SITE WITHOUT ME PAYING YOU FIRST ??
I just asked a question, and all you could have said is, i dont want to answer your question, ask a structural engineer.
Sorry I do not know my clients by their nairaland names. However I usually collect site visitation TP before I visit any site. Because if I a giving free consultancy/professional advice on projects for co-NLders at least they foot my TP. And ever week I visit minimum of 3 of such sites. And as you can attest I give expert advise to ALL my clients.

Thanks, Really Appreciate, So you suggest that I do the mat concrete directly on the bare ground instead of doing the MAT concrete on the sand filled digged tenches?
Using Sand to form a bed before doing the 'mat' concrete is also good depending on the load-bearing nature of the soil amongst other considerations. For instance if the sand layer underneath is shallow and you have excavated down, you will need to make it up or else whatever you build on it no matter how strong the concrete is, will settle. Let me explain further. I was called to check a site that had similar issue. The soil strata which is expected to bear the house is like 2.5m down Under the ground. Then some Engineer guy tells the owner to dig say 2.5m deep foundation. His asset ion is that the deeper a foundation is the better. (But engineering does not have a gbogbonishe formula that solves all issues. That is why competent professionals analyse each peculiar problem on its own merits.) Therefore resting the end of the pad foundation was now resting on the soil that couldn't carry load.

If you will fill sand then you must compact the sand so that no settlement issues arise. It is better than directly on excavated bare ground.
This does not mean that the professional advice of our brother JerryCCC won't work, it will work just that you have to consider the peculiarity of your own site
Politics › Re: Yahaya Bello Appoints Edward Onoja As Chief Of Staff by opalu: 9:42am On Jan 28, 2016
I like Leaders that have things to prove.
Bello has something to prove. Fashola has something to Prove in his present job. Due to the massive hatred people have for ameachi he has something to prove to Nigerians now.

Even in life, people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds tend to outperform those smooth happy-go-lucky folks with nothing to prove.

Do you have anything to prove? Or you are just basking in the euphoria of the shadow of your father or mother or your employer?
Wise up

Audu was from my LGA.
He has been Governor twice
He has tried.
Let's we who are yet to meet the Creator celebrate the future and not the past because we all must die one day.

Bell is our Governor. Thank God Wada has packed out from Lugard House. Nothing gladden the heart more
