Sports / Re: How Paul Pogba Went From Savior To A Complete Waste Of Money In 10 Images by opata(m): 4:36pm On Sep 23, 2016
The complete poem!

An ode to old Man U sing to the tune of "Old Roger is dead and gone to his grave"

Old Man U is dead and gone to its grave

Ooh ahh, gone to its grave

They planted an expensive waste over its head

Ooh ahh, over its head

The expensive waste changed haircut and ran out of luck

Ooh ahh, ran out of luck

United fans lose their cool and call for his head

Ooh ahh, call for his head

The special one lost it and lampooned Luke Shaw

Ooh ahh, lampooned Luke Shaw

We all sit back to see what happens next

And this is the story of new Man U

We don't need an apology. Cameron was right in what he said. It's just giving us an insight into the sort of sneaky "frenemy" he is.

But he should please use his good office to return all our stolen assets stashed in UK.

No quarrel. No abuse. Thank you Mr. Cameron

Politics / Re: UNILAG Renaming Noble But Illegal, Says Abiola's Lawyer Afe Babalola by opata(m): 10:26am On May 31, 2012
Take a bow, Afe Babalola. It is indeed a noble gesture. The only problem is GEJ doesn't have the sole right to carry out the action. He should have gone about it in the proper manner. he isnn't a military president, he can't rule by decrees but by the force and action of law
Politics / Re: Was M.K.O Abiola Truly A Martyr In The Interest Of The Masses?? by opata(m): 10:16am On May 31, 2012
You can choose to be president for whatever reason you want. But you must get there through a free and fair process. If the people choose to elect a goat or a known thief, they've made their decision and thats it. I think the question here should be what right anyone has to deny him of his fairly won mandate. The robbery didnt stop there sef. They went ahead and murdered him ...
Politics / Re: Fashola Reverses Firing Of 34 Doctors (Out Of 788) by opata(m): 10:07am On May 31, 2012
Did anyone actually read what Fashola said before rushing to type jargons? That you are governor doesn't make you a king or a god. There are roles for everyone. Hence he states it isn't his role to employ or sack doctors. All he can do is mediate. This is one smart chap ...
Religion / Re: Joel Osteen: Megachurch Televangelist Pastor Without Christ?! Scandal by opata(m): 10:07am On Mar 03, 2012
I'll just like to advice rational folk here not to jump to conclusions.

Youtube the clip, listen to it, understand the context he was speaking in etc.

Don't take the word of a previous poster for truth. Do your own investigations.

Finally, I'll just say a bad preacher is different from a false preacher. And one mistake by a man doesn't make him inherently and irrevocably "bad'

Be wise.
Politics / Re: Terrorist Training Camp Discovered By Police In Bauchi by opata(m): 4:40pm On Sep 26, 2011

Politics / Re: Nairalander Now Commissioner In Sw. by opata(m): 12:42pm On Aug 21, 2011
Methinks the main issue for discourse should be his ability or otherwise to perform the job he's been appointed to do. More especially as the appointment smirks of the use of unfair advantage to gain ground.

If I'm right, he didn't win in an election to represent his people. Now we see him emerging as a commissioner. Why? What are his qualifications and experience?

At this point, Oyo state after years and years of mismanagement definitely need round pegs in round holes. Not sharing of Government jobs to political families and dynasties.

There mustbe something he's bringing to the table that should make anyone comfortable with his appointment.

Just my twopence. Dont hate me.
Politics / Re: EFCC Wants Churches To Investigate The Sources Of Huge Tithes by opata(m): 4:48am On Aug 17, 2011
Hope I don't sound like a Christian apologist, but do Mosques and Islamic bodies check the wealth of its members (some of who are Government officials) who build mosques, sponsor hajj trips, feed almajaris and imams and generally do the dictates of their religion?

Farida needs to watch and balance her arguments. EFCC knows where to find criminals and should focus properly, abeg.
Politics / Re: Ahmad Sani Yerima Disgraces Nigeria -BBC Report (example child bride pic posted) by opata(m): 1:28pm On Apr 29, 2010
@ ayettymama ,

abeg stop all this semantics, dissembling and distortions. oh , and the insults too.

if something is wrong, you should seek avenues to redress it. even where there are no enabling laws, they can be created but only by protest and representation.

if we adopt this seat on the fence attitude, nothing will change. if you think you're immune and these things can never touch you, better have a rethink. things have a multiplier way of hitting innocent people.

if ahmed yerima has his way (and he may well eventually have it; he's in government, isn't he?), you would wear a veil at all times, not be able to work with your hard earned academic degrees and generally be a second class citizen.

better be careful , and fight (not necessarily physical) when you can ,

"I don't care about the issue of age since I have not violated any rule as far as Islam is concerned," he said.

"History tells us that Prophet Muhammad did marry a young girl as well. Therefore I have not contravened any law. Even if she is 13 as it is being falsely peddled around.

"If I state the age, they will still use it to smear Islam,"

"As a Muslim as I always say I consider God's law and that of his prophet above any other law,"

"I will not respect any law that contradicts that and whoever wants to sanction me for that is free to do that."

These are actual quotes (source BBC) from the man himself.

Effectively he's saying my religion allows me to be a paedophile and no Nigerian laws or constitutions (of which he is one of the custodians) can deter him.

These are the sorts of charlatans we have running the country!

I'm dissapointed in all Nairalanders (I'm especially looking at you Mistakay and Ayettymama) who have remotely suggested this crime should be overlooked !!!

bol

u can't invest based on "please what is the best business i can do in naija now".

what business passion do u have? what valuable experience do u possess?

i believe there are a lot of things in the uk market that are yet to be replicated here. with the right feasibility study and management, u can get something you know about going on without anyone 419ing you.

i am a project manager and am working on 2 projects (based on uk ideas). if u have an idea, send me ur email address, i can do a feasibility for you and also mange your project.

regards.
