I just pity the 9ja soldiers been sacrificed and murdered by those who have turned the war to a business center. If not for internal betrayal, are they telling me that the same army that won countless awards and defeated countless rebels in ecomog wars and many peacekeeping operations under military regime that didn't spend up to 1/1000th of the budget this civilian govt are spending, the same army can't end Boko Haram in over 15 years? Discos are private companies. As are gencos. And they cannot give us power because people like you want them to operate at a loss.

Meanwhile you won't be happy if someone hired you at the rate you were offering 6 years ago.

Boss I don't want them to operate at a loss. I answered the question, the price they are charging today is not the same price as at 2015. 5hey have already increased it about 2 or 3 times already. If not that this small NEPA bill printouts they give someone use to fade with time, I will have find some of my old Nepa bills of 2015 and 2020 and post it her for you to see that their charging rate is different. They have been increasing it. But I'm not saying they should operate at a loss, I want them to make profit, after all they are a business, they are private investors, they have staff to pay and running costs to pay, huge tax to pay, and we are a capitalist society. So I'm not against their progress. But what I'm saying is, the nature of their business works hand in hand and collaboration with govt. So instead of trying them (govt + disco) to high prices, they should implement better systems and projects that will deliver electricity at cheaper costs. I have been to warri refinery before. 24hrs 24/7 gas flarin and millions of cubic of gas that can be converted to electricity to make electricity cheaper for everyone is wasting away everyday. How long will the masses continue to suffer and pay for the inefficiency of govt. If discos want more money they should fight to reduce govt share in their profits, not put rope on our own neck and hang us. The customers are not the problem, the govt is

I go to govt hospitals well, so I know how they do there. Whether na Igbobi, LASUTH, LUTH, FMC, different health centers. Many Nigerian doctors are appalled at the system they work in, but they don't have choice but to work like that, and many of them because of evil the system is, have to train themselves to block their ears from the the cries of the public, cuz there is nothing they can do. The evil is institutionalized. It is the system. Those whose conscience are pure and can't cope with it, will work their way abroad to America or Europe or UAE and leave the evil system for the govt to continue their wickedness

For the kind of business you are doing, you probably pay no taxes on your profits, but you expect the DISCOs to make losses to provide you with electricity at the same price of 5years ago. Have the prices of what you sell remained the same in 5 years?

I have never paid the same amount for electricity 5 years ago same amount as today. They have always been increasing it. Under Fashola as power Minister, I think they gave increase more than 2 times already. I sell for profit, they sell for profit, that is business. BUT they have 180 million customers, with government backing and infrastructure. They have govt incentive for their operations. I carry my cross on my head myself alone. If I make 2000 gain from 50 customers, that is 100k. Even if let's say I don't pay all the direct taxes, I pay some direct and indirect taxes, like half of the profit is gone to govt one way or another. If they make 2000 profit from 180m people that is 360 billion profit to be shared by discos that are not even up to 20. Now check it well. So they are making huge profits already. Nothing like losses for them. Why do they still want to cut our neck? If the thieves in govt are squeezing them for more money, then they should tell us so we can fight on their behalf and vote the thieves out.

That's just the interpretation in one short sentence. Upon all the billions they got from int'l countries, the billions they got from companies here and other philanthropists, they want people to pay 50k for test, for just 1 test oh. And during the course of treatment, there will be more tests, a Coronavirus patient can't do only 1 test. Patient will do at least 2. Maybe later they will soon start asking for money for treatment and quarantine bed space too. Let me do the breakdown:

Let's say 1,000,000 get infected, and 600,000 are pushed to do 50k tests
600K * 50K = 30,000,000,000 (30 BILLION NAIRA)

Can you see why they are so eager to open up everywhere now? And why they don't care about enforcing social distancing, face masks and all those preventive measurements? They have left people to be doing whatever they like and almost everything has gone back to normal as it was as if when their was no Coronavirus. They intentionally let the virus get in. Then when the virus was little spread, they locked everywhere to perfect their scam operation, then now opened every where when the cases are rising astronomically. Can you see that's it almost as if this thing is an ORGANIZED SCAM? I swear Hushpuppi and Woodberry and co yahoo boys, dem be learner for wia 9ja govt dey. They will be praying the West doesn't develop a cure on time. And hoping more than 100m Nigerians get infected. A new business is in town. They are obviously testing selectively. Na the way for govt hospital be that. Know Me Know You. Those that know insiders or have big cash to settle, will be attended to on time, and go in through back door but the general public that don't know anyone will be made to queue endlessly and have to jump from one bureaucratic hurdle to the next, till many will die waiting, many will leave in frustration resigned to their fate, and the few that can afford it will be pushed to the private clinics that the corrupt govt officials own themselves or have profits-sharing formula with.

Wow, I just read the article. Honestly, this thing is a SCAMDEMIC. I'm not saying the virus is fake but they have turned the whole COVID-19 thing to a business center. With this development, they will start giving excuses of no available test kits in public hospital again and sending people away to private clinics that they own themselves or have percentage share in the 50k tests. We have the most heartless criminals running this country. .
