We do not know what the apology is about because it was a personal discussion. If they wanted to apologize, they should have made the apology public and let us know if the referee and VAR officials had conclusive evidence to rule handball.

We do not know if he even apologized. We just know what the journalist told us.
Ofcourse they apologised!
whether secretly or publicly is irrelevant!
Or are you insinuating that Skysports is lying?
And if they are,why havent PGMOL come out publicly to debunk such apology?

If they did, then for what reason or what offence?

The point is too simple. You are running in cirlces.

Do you have a concrete proof that all the ball is in the red area. Note that. All the ball is in the red area. If you do, please show us. Because I do not know anyone that does. Not even the VAR officials.
Nooooh not us but you because you seem to be the one having eye problem cheesy cheesy

Is hitting the upper arm considered as handball?
If the ball hits anywhere on your arm which is below your armpit, it will be considered as a handball offence. This is because the armpit is defined to be the upper boundary of your arm.

Is elbow a handball?
The elbow is considered to be part of your arm. This is because your elbow is below your armpit, which is the upper boundary of your arm. A handball offence will be called in this situation.

If after showing you these pics, you still dont see that its handball, then you seriously need to book an appointment with your ophthalmologist!

PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited) manager Mike Riley personally rang up both Frank Lampard and Bill Kenwright to apologise for the wrong decision made during the match.

We do not know the details of the discussion. That statement is from a journalist. There is no official statement of that discussion. Why was it done in secret? I will only take it seriously when we get an official statement.

The only official statement came from the referees which stated no conclusive evidence to rule. Until now, that is not challenged.
Was there an apology? yes or no?
If Yes....then why did they apologise?
Like i said before, you cannot put something on nothing!
Clearly the apology was due to the pen incident!
Lampard said the apology was because of the pen.....Hence,they admitted though secretly that they were wrong about their decision!

That is the point. Is all the ball from that picture in the red zone? You can not ascertain and there is no technology that can tell that.

The law does not clearly state if all the ball, a part of the ball or even if a mm of the ball is in the green area, means no handball.

So, they could not rule handball due to the new sleeve rule.

Finito.
Are you seriously kidding me?
You gave an illustration to depict the area that is perceived as handball and the pic of Rodri clearly shows that the ball touched that area....In other words, the ball touched Rodri's elbow and forearm which depicts part of the handball part....!

That apology to me is a gimmick to prevent a ban for Lampard. Lampard openly called the referees and VAR official incompetent and said his three years old daughter will do a better job. That meant an FA suspension.

What kind of apology is that when the referees released only one official statement saying that they could not rule because of no inconclusive evidence.

Then tell us they apologized secretly. If the referee really were apologizing, they should have released a public statement.

That is no apology. I believe he called Lampard and explained the rule better to him and apologized for the confusion.

They never released a public apology. Just gear say.
Your first paragraph is purely based on assumptions!
Well atleast you accept that an apology was made!
Now you cannot put something on nothing....An association cannot apologise for nothing!
Skysports reported that the PGMOL made a call to lampard and Everton to apologise....

PGMOL General Manager Mike Riley Apologises To Everton's Frank Lampard For Penalty Wrongdoing Against Manchester City
DAMON CARR
MAR 1, 2022
Following Everton's clear penalty claim being turned down against Manchester City, PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited) manager Mike Riley personally rang up both Frank Lampard and Bill Kenwright to apologise for the wrong decision made during the match.

The ramifications from the poor decision made by both Paul Tierney and especially VAR official Chris Kavanagh have the potential to be huge in terms of the teams affected.

Saying that the apology was a gimmick o prevent a ban for lampard is a halfhearted attempt to erroneously speculate!

You can read my previous posts even outside of this thread to know a little bit more about me. I am being serious, but you are probably the least intelligent Liverpool fan I have ever interacted with and it is funny because most Liverpool fans are not daft. You basically are presenting reported speech from nobody who was involved in the incident and from the myriad of empty words channeled into your drivel, at no point did anything up here contradict me. You are just excited by the dramatic and mischaracterized caption that has nothing to do with the substance. Even more laughable is that you went on to define PGMOL to me even when until now, you kept saying VAR and FA said, when I was the one who kept rightly saying it was the PGMOL. It should show you how daft you are.

Now to add to your ineptitude, you are not only arguing with video evidence and Paul Tierney's gesticulation on the day, but then claiming that the same VAR that Tierney points to in the video as the reason he is sure it is offside to claim it is not offside even though this your article here says nothing about what caused the incident and only that Everton were apologized to. You are not qualified to have this discussion. And I mean that with all frankness.
So much writeup with less logic!
No wonder your acclaimed intelligence is 6 feet below! grin
PGMOL apologised to Everton because they knew their member made a clear and obvious error by not awarding a pen to Everton!
The focus was on the pen not given not the concocted offside from blinded fiends like you!
This is one of the reasons why i defined PGMOL so that others can understand their significance!
The rest of your hilarious blabbing and endless balderdash is best ignored!

PGMOL apologise to Everton after VAR failed to award them penalty in Man City defeat

PGMOL General Manager Mike Riley made personal phone calls to Bill Kenwright and Frank Lampard to apologise
The General Manager of the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), Mike Riley, has personally apologised to Everton after VAR failed to award them a penalty at the weekend.
During the final minutes of Everton's game against Manchester City on Saturday, City midfielder Rodri clearly struck the ball with his arm during an attempted clearance, however both referee Paul Tierney and VAR official Chris Kavanagh failed to award a spot-kick.
The decision caused outrage among the fans at Goodison Park as the away side held onto a 1-0 win and manager Frank Lampard vented his frustrations during his post-match interview - levelling the blame at Kavanagh.
In his astonishing interview, he accused Kavanagh of not being able to do his job properly and described it as "incompetence at best."
He said: "We've lost a point by a professional who can't do his job right. It's incompetence at best. At worst, who knows?
"That's Chris Kavanagh. It's completely on Chris. The referee [Paul Tierney] on the day knows it was a penalty. [But] he couldn't see it.
"The decision is incredible, incredible that loses us the opportunity to get what we deserved. It wouldn't have needed more than five seconds to know it was a penalty. He should have told the referee to give it or to look at it."

You really need to go back to night school because your level of comprehension is seriously impaired!
Maybe your type jumped window during English class! tongue tongue

You are mumbling incoherent gibberish because you cannot deny the evidence. Your argument is just based on the politics of the PGMOL and not on the evidence that you could see. You have forgotten that NBCSN is not the PGMOL yet they too showed you Richarlison was offside.

What does PGMOL stand for?

What does PGMOL stand for? Professional Game Match Officials Limited. What is PGMOL responsible for? Formed in 2001 to improve refereeing standards, the PGMOL group officiate across all EFL, Premier League, and Football Association (FA) Competitions – with all three organisations funding it.

You are confusing me for someone else. Better check yourself. Since Nov 1 City only drew 3 games and lost once to Tottenham. Liverpool were a point ahead in November and now you are a point behind silly. You were 14 points behind after City beat Chelsea but you had Brentford the next day which reduced the points to 11 again. You still had an outstanding game which was Arsenal that you won 2-0. Which is now 8 points. City drawing with Southampton, Crystal Palace and losing to Tottenham is 7 points dropped that is why City is still a point ahead of you.

Rodri absolutely had no pressure to use his hand. No Everton player was around him.
