The man was not allowed to be on the sidelines because you have to have certification to be on sidelines according to CAF regulations. Ghana is still the host country. They are hosting as part of the preparation for their 70th independence celebrations, so they are surely serious about hosting the tournament.
Nigeria qualification is not guaranteed yet. They are still appealing to CAF, citing Tunisia precedent of 2025 edition. Nothing approved yet.

According to a report by SavidNews, Nigeria’s football governance situation has been listed under Article 7, titled “Miscellaneous,” on the agenda for the forthcoming meeting, which is expected to begin at 11:00 a.m. Central European Time, with members participating by videoconference.
