Oga, Makinde would have won his re-election with or without Tinubu. Infact, supporting Tinubu costed him as his supporters ended up voting APC candidates as Senators due to lack of clarity. Tinubu couldn't even return the favour. He asked Makinde to nominate a ministerial candidate only to neglect his choice to appoint his political rival. Same thing he did to Elrufai.

How then did Joseph Tegbe get appointed under Tinubu’s government? Who recommended him for the juicy position, a known PDP member and a loyalist of Seyi?

False. In 2023, he supported Tinubu through the G5 but Tinubu and Wike ended up betraying and humiliating him as is typical. He was the one who did Tinubu a favour in 2023, otherwise, Tinubu would have lost Oyo like he lost Lagos and Osun. Seyi Makinde is fully incharge of Oyo and the people love him. His anointed candidate will defeat Adelabu and Sharafudeen any day and any time. Tinubu is not that popular in the Southwest as you lot like to pretend. Plus, Tinubu never supported Obasanjo, his fellow Yoruba brother, simply because he was in the opposition. Why expect Makinde and other Southwestern opposition figures to now support Tinubu? Makinde has scores to settle.

Makinde worked for Tinubu in 2023, likewise APC supported his re-election.

Bottomline is that the opposition is spoilt for choice come 2027. Any combination will give Tinubu a run for his money. With Seyi Makinde now onboard, even the Southwest will be up for grabs. Tinubu will not win the region in a landslide as his lackeys like to pretend.

But Senator Omisore took revenge long before now (if any anyway) on Governor Adeleke in the 2018 gubernatorial election. The election was very close, declared inconclusive, and Omisore’s influence was the determining factor. He supported Oyetola in the runoff, helping the APC secure victory, scores settled (aforesaid, if any).

This is Obi's bailiwick, though the APC will not win here, but the 2027 results will be different and far better than those of 2023.

Senator Buhari is also strong but the ticket is not going to Oke Ogun, Ibadan candidate will be preferred.

The Gbolarumi led faction of the PDP will still present a candidate in the Oyo governorship election. The ADC will also present a candidate, Makinde’s moving to NDC will present one as well, and Oriyomi hamzat of Accord Party will be on the ballot. All four parties originated from the old PDP.

There's a strong possibility we will have 3 teams domiciled in Lagos in the NPFL next season. All 3 teams are privately owned teams.

1. Ikorodu City: currently seats 3rd in NPFL table and could be one of Nigeria's representative on the continent.

2. Inter Lagos: they top the table of the NNL grouping and only needs a draw in the last game to seal their place to the NPFL next season.

3. Sporting Lagos: could make the long awaited return to the NPFL after 2 seasons at the NNL. The currently seat 2nd on their NNL grouping, one point behind group leaders Akwa United. They however have a game in hand, so they need to win their remaining 2 games to guarantee their return to the NPFL.

Should this be the outcome, we'll be seeing increasing number of privately run clubs in the NPFL which in my opinion is the way to go to see growth and progress in the Nigerian football ecosystem locally.

(Seriously hoping Remo Stars doesn't get relegated so we have at least 6 privately owned clubs in the NPFL next season)

I believe Inter Lagos has made it to the NPFL. I don’t see them losing 8–0 in their final game.
NNL will be more competitive next season, with the number of groups reduced to two instead of the four they have this season.
