Were you not the one talking about alignment yesterday between Atiku and Adeleke? So what is bad if Tinubu also align with opposition party to win election.

Are the people of Osun aligned with Tinubu? That's the only alignment that matters. Dele Momodu and several APC chieftains supported Adeleke in the election. Atiku also met briefly in private with him in his visit to the state. Atiku does not need to win Osun in 2027 but Tinubu is highly unpopular in his own homestate. That says a lot. He currently needs Adeleke more than Adeleke needs him, yet he continues to withhold the local government funds in Osun state. It is wickedness and unbecoming of a president who just wants to win at all cost. The people of Osun have shown that they are sophisticated and independent. Proper Omoluabis, unlike Tinubu and his NADECO pretenders.

Yes, a few APC chieftains supported Adeleke, that was part of the political game being played. The Ooni of Ife openly supported Adeleke, yet the same Ooni had earlier said it is only Tinubu or nobody in 2027. I wouldn’t be surprised if Omisore was the “spoiler” they used.
Yes, Adeleke is a strong politician, a bride worth having, Tinubu won't throw such asset away..

Tinubu wanted Adeleke in APC when he wanted to defect, but the greedy APC leaders in Osun said no. Of course, for the sake of party unity, he allowed them, but politics was played underground.
Did he not advise Adelabu not to resign and contest against Alli? But Adelabu was bragging that he had the support of the people of Oyo. Tinubu wished him well... The rest is history.

Lol. Politicians won elections in the North by relying on Buhari’s popularity but here is Tinubu pathetically relying on 36 state governors to deliver him come 2027. Tinubu will need more than Adeleke's endorsement to overturn his massive unpopularity in his own backyard in Osun. APC had 21 governors in 2023 but Tinubu only won 12 states. Half of those 12 were not APC-governed states.

It was the same noise in 2022 when Oyetola was defeated a few months before the general election. Las las, Tinubu won. ADC should rather be worried about its poor showing in Osun.
With the strong PDP structure in 2023, Atiku failed to secure both the popular vote and the constitutional requirement of 25% in at least 24 states. It will get worse for him in 2027.

The main opposition is happy...if i ask you why now, you will say that APC lost. You actually forgot that Adeleke left PDP which ordinarily should have been the main opposition to him since he left their party after using it to secure power. PDP is nowhere to be found.

ADC had a very poor show. NDC is not even on the ballot. Why are you happy? That APC that came second lost while the party you are hoping will take over next year is not even on the ballot?

This is even a plus for APC. You are no longer shouting rigging because APC lost? If Apc could not succesfully rig only one state in Yoruba land, how did they rig your OBI out ? Aregbe was governor when Adeleke contested against his candidate, and Adeleke was elected a senator. He also won in 2018 when Aregbe was still the sitting governor, before he was manipulated out.
In 2022, Adeleke defeated the incumbent. Now, as a sitting governor, not owing salaries and paying pensioners, do you really expect him to be defeated?

Don't buy the feeble alibi. They should hide their faces in shame. ADC performed woefully in Osun, and now they are hiding behind the excuse of alignment. This is the fourth election Adeleke has contested against APC, and he has been performing well against them.
I support APC but I knew long before today that Adeleke will win.

No it will not be so. ADC members are voting for Imole. I heard there was a pact yesterday night between ADC members and Accord especially in Osun central that ADC should vote for Adeleke. Alot of things could play out after this election. Should Adeleke win or lose, something is bound to change. People are of the opinion that Adeleke might withdraw his support for Tinubu but if he does that, it would be at Oriyomi’s instance remember he also promises to support Tinubu, we are all watching Adeleke’s stance after this election. Tinubu may want to support APC fully in Oyo guber should Adeleke withdraws his support.

ADC should not safe face. Aregbe made a video, saying ADC is going fully into the election, that the party not backing down. Atiku even came over to campaign..I can even say it is Tinubu who wants Adeleke to win..

During the Anambra governorship election, APC got over 150,000 votes. The opposition said people voted for their own people not the party, reason APC got that high figure, Agreed.
Now, is the ADC candidate in Osun a Ghanaian? If his own people cannot vote for him and his party, is Atiku the one they will turn to as a bride? The truth is that ADC has no structure in the South.

Forget the few results they are posting here. Adeleke is doing well outside his Ede bailiwick.

So far, so good for Accord, they are doing well. As for Aregbesola, this election may retire him. It has been a very poor showing for his ADC.

But why are ADC online supporters rooting for Adeleke when they have their own governorship candidate? Meanwhile, whoever wins between Adeleke’s Accord Party and APC will be working for PBAT’s re-election, Adeleke already endorsed him.

It is actually a formality. The majority of the electorate are the state FA chairmen, 37 out of 54 voters, and a group among them (the State Chairmen) were even the ones who bought his nomination form.
Meanwhile, the remaining voters are still under the NFF: representatives from the NNL, NNO, NPFL, NWFL, referees’ association, etc.
Apart from David Doherty, I have not heard of any other contestant.
