How relevant is the policy to the poor and how has government helped to make UBE a huge success without adequate provision of basic and necessary infrastructure like books, classrooms, well trained teachers and lots more. Guess there is a way to achieve this, let's discuss it! |
Adinije: if u haven't deposited ur money and it got stloen, it's ur loss but if u have just deposited and the bank got robbed immediately then it's the bank's loss.Guess u right cos logically no one wants to be at loss most especially banks. They must ve thought of this and lobbied to make sure a part of the law covers that |
Op, dnt deceive urself..polythechnics nd universities curriculum in Nigeria is very different and dat is what is makin it unequivalent.. What shld be done nw is to upgrade ur curriculum in polytechnics[/quote So on point admission requirement is incomparable likewise the research orientation, level of exposure (tru dressing& way they pose for photo shoot) and competence in terms of spoken English am not claiming to be better off, bit theirs lack spice |
you guys are forgetting Airtel here, their ladies are just not worth the job, i guess your account balance is what they use to judge how to attend to you. They hang up on customers. To cap the level of incompetence, they are always having side distraction. But for the male staff they just bunch of bad ascent guys who cannot even express themselves may be they lack the knowledge on how things work. |
Am not a fan of Obasanjo and his politics but my immediate reaction to the letter purportedly written by Iyabo to Obj was caution. Something keeps telling me Iyabo did not write that letter. No sane daughter will write such a letter to her father, especially one who is as popular and powerful as OBJ. No matter the disagreement, a YORUBA lady will never insult her father publicly like that. If we look at the letter well, I think the presidency is behind it. How come no other media outlet except Vanguard published the letter? Infact, the style of that letter looks like something written by Abati. Iyabo should immediatelly institute a legal action against Vanguard newspaper.[/ Objective point of view... |

I wonder how GEJ emerged as the president in the first place cos his personality never appealed to me as a leader. He is more like a gbewudani man, come to think of it how can a president under a Democratic regime plan to remove the speaker of the house where is there is rule of law and separation of power. The other day the UN described Nigeria as a open air asylum we were all grumbling. Don't we think they are seeing us or are they blind to see the depth of rot in our society. Our number one citizen does not attach much pride n dignity to that office he holds, rather he just makes a mockery of that office like he is chairing a family meeting, what a irony. |
Okija_juju: Hmmmm.... |
it is so ironical that nothing works here in a country with sufficient human and material resources. on several occasions, tales have been told on the decay in the country's education sector, where there are series of policy somersault and no reasonable body has identified the problem(s) in a bid to proffer a lasting solution. most of the agencies charged with quality enhancement in our education sectors are becoming less relevant because most of them don't know their role and jurisdiction. my humble question is this, must everyone be a university graduate? i would say no because there is more to life than being a university graduate if only our government is as effective as they ought to be. what is the essence of vocational/technical school if they are not properly utilized. the major problem this country is facing emanated from this sector as it is the back bone of any thriving economy no wonder our economy is at a state of regular reverse. who would help salvage the situation, most teachers are not even helping matters, all they are after is their monthly salary not the knowledge they transmit. most lecture materials in all level of education are archaic in nature which makes them less relevant to the present day problems in a nut shell, i do say that the education sector is not research oriented, lack the needed man power, misplaced priority, ineffective in areas of supervision, is not competitive in nature and lack foresight. many at times i begin to wonder how our leaders get to sleep at night when they are fully aware that they did not achieve what they are being paid to do, how do they justify their pay? this is not just about the politicians alone it also balls down on lecturers who don't publish any write-up or even update their lecture note. this is so sad as most of them are even agitating for a salary increment under ASUU. we need to seriously rebrand our education sector to avoid massive out-put of untrained graduate. most of us are victims of this educational challenge guess we need to raise a voice to question NANS National Association Of Nigerian Students on their relevance to the education sector and moves being made to revive the sector. lets consider the future of our young generation and expose more ills in this sector to move forward. |
Alxmyr: When will Amaechi meet Obasanjo and seek his intervention in the present crisis? Just wonderingI see no reason why amechi should see obasanjo for any resolution, cos I as a person have not seem anything positive from objs elder statesmanship. I belief if obj has anything to offer he has a way of contacting amachi rather amechi running to him which is a great sign of weakness. we can do better without these set of old politicians. Avoid NEO Colonialism |
pDude: Ok. So because of Salah hols, she couldn't be flown outHave you ever heard of bureaucracy? Then why won't public holiday affect. Or do you think flying her out won't need some necessary paper work for safety. Or you don't think she can be victimized after recovery. Our government officials are not as dumb as u think they need to protect her own interest |
Moderator pls stop hidding post unnecessarily, are u also a politician arguments in times like this are usually constructive. |
Oga park well, what is it that you don't understand is it the English he used or the political scenario surrounding it? Let me ask you a simple question, are you happy with the way politics is being played in this country where any dick or harry can just manipulate the political atmosphere to sooth his or quest for unlimited power even when she is not politically recognized. First and foremost this half baked monster claimed she wasn't in river state to ferment trouble now we are seeing chaos in the state all in a bid to declare state of emergency in the state. I real emmysenior: NAIRALAND MOMENTS |
thelastPope: If you have any sense in your head, you would know that if GEJ wants to manipulate anything, Amaechi would have been impeached and would be in jail already! He is too small for the president to fight. You dont even have a clue what the powers of a Nigerian President is. Amaechi should be grateful GEJ is the president. Do you know when Amaechi's fight with Rivers people started. You just sit in Lagos and make noise like you have a clue what is going on.I guess u don't understand the concept of democracy, how would u describe a Governor to be too small, or even make mention of GEJ putting Amechi in jail. U go school at all, or u just privileged to ve a computer at or disposal to join a topic which is intellectually above ur comprehension? What makes u think this is a fight between governor amechi and the people of river state? I guess u need a higher version of sense to see beyond ur skull to know this is a power game between governor amechi and dame patient and not amachi v. His people. |
Billionaires: You think you are insulting our President, but I feel ashamed of you, mor0nic nonentity. guess what, you dont exist.e Oga park well, what is it that you don't understand is it the English he used or the political scenario surrounding it? First and foremost this half baked monster claimed she wasn't in river state to ferment trouble now we are seeing chaos in the state all in a bid to enhance declaration of state of emergency in the state. I really don't think all these noise is necessary all that needs to be done is for GEJ to call his madam to order before hell is let loose by patient Nigerians enough is enough, the whole world is watching oga Ruben Abati say something even though it won't make sense as usual |

A tale of one corrupt society where the poor ones are being used to practice the law. Once upon a time, a public figure stole the police pension fund worth more than that which dis young man has dubiously collected but was granted a bail. Am Not trying to say the accused has done well, but there should be a lesser punishment for the crime committed. Those he collected the money from should be questioned as well, how could dey fall so cheap if not dat the victims themselves na corrupt pep wey one use one naira collect one million from public office holder. They be learner!! |
