Technological societies aren't always utopian. I'd even argue that there is a great tendency for an advanced technological society to become dystopian. There have been many well acclaimed dystopian books about futuristic societies with advanced technology. A very popular one that everyone knows due to it's adaptation into a movie is Divergent by Veronica Roth. Aldous huxley's Brave New world is another one.

Technological advancement might seem like an upgrade, but it could easily lead to unforseen, large scale catastrophies.

Just read the damn book oga.

Notice how Threebear never quotes me whenever I accuse him of being a homosexual drag queen. He doesn't quote me because he knows it's the truth and he doesn't want it stressed for too long. He also doesn't want such accusation to appear in his post history just in case someone goes through his post history in the future, or when his followers get notification of his new posts.

Accuse him/her of whatever you want, but you bringing his/her parent into that rubbish is so low of you.

Shouldn't the people of that section be at the forefront of this protest?
I have always expected massive protest from that area, as well as fierce rebuke of this killings by their governors and senators.

Culture / Re: Is It Truly Important To Know Your Mother Tongue? by Opiletool(m): 9:04am On Jul 19, 2019
So you're waiting for Nigerian languages to become obsolete in order to justify your unwillingness to learn your native tongue?

If Nigerians in diaspora are opening threads on nairaland, seeking how to learn their native tongue, then you have no excuse, considering the fact that there are igbo speaking group in that same delta state. But from your post, seems like you're not making the concious effort to even learn. Also, you sounded like you don't value your culture, because if you do, you wouldn't have said ability to speak one's mother tongue is not a big deal, knowing fully well that culture and language are inseparable.

If not today, then she is referring to when Frodd slept on her bed without her permission.. It seems Frodd was drunk in one of the night and something happened that we didn't see on camera.
She stated that it can't happen again and she can't be in the same space with frodd again.
She said this the night Frodd cried for her..

I wonder why people are ignoring this part.
I really don't like the girl, but I'd never encourage my sister, female friend, or daughter to get close to someone that disrespected her in that manner.

Exactly - entertainment and Football
Two industries not yet tainted by tribal and religious bigotry.

Burner Boy should just up his game.

Personally, I love good music irrespective of the language.
I'm not Yoruba but I love that their hit song with Zlatan Ibile .... can't remember the title.

However, I don't seem to flow well with some of his other songs and this is not because of the Yoruba language.

Davido, Wizkid, Kiss Daniel and Tiwa Savage are among my favourite but they use a heavy dose of Yoruba in their songs too.

I remember back in 2012/2013 where I could go a whole day playing Davido's hit single, Damin Duro, even though I didn't
understand the lyrics

Music has nothing to do with tribe. I have Spanish and French songs on my playlist. Flavour's 'Awele' is currently my favorite despite the fact that I don't understand a jack in the lyrics. Funny enough, I heard the song from my barber, who happens to be a strong yoruba boy. I searched for the song and downloaded it. Same way I've seen igbos who love brymo's songs, even the ones sang with yoruba.

Honestly, you sound like someone with reasoning disability if you're able to calm down and talk like this. So your reason for not believing Kemi is because she's an "insane fellow" and her "despicable antics" which makes me ask; which makes me wanna ask, why didn't you investigate yourself? But you believed Busola Dakolo who prior to this incident you never knew existed! That's double standards bro

Seems like you have a problem with reading comprehension, which confirms my fear about your reasoning ability. Did you skip this part "Note, I'm not in support of either of the sides in this brouhaha"?

if this investigations are found to be true, then this busola of a woman has a lot to tell Nigerians and world at last, she has a motive or she's being sponsored to do so. You told us you were meant to nurse a baby who from ur claims was born in 1999, from this investigation, the man's first issue was in 2002, you said he banged you on top of his Mercedes-Benz car trunk, which investigations found out he never had a benz till 2003.
even if she was raped as claimed, this evidence alone can turn around the whole issue on her and her family.
even from the way she told the rape story, she enjoyed every bit of it, she sounds like one who likes to be dominated during sex

One need to question your reasoning ability if you take this disgrace of a being seriously.
Note, I'm not in support of either of the sides in this brouhaha, but I'll never believe anything that comes from this insane fellow knowing fully her despicable antics.

"Ifa loba
Orisa losin
Eledumare nikan lo to gbe okan Le

Odu irete
Ifa condemn idol worshiping
Ori ni a ba bo..a ba fi Orisa sile...ijo
Ti ori ngbeni nibo ni Orisa wa

Let's now talk about Orisa
What is an Orisa? Orisa is someone great that has live on earth before.
Awon ti ori sa so to
That is why you get the term orisa
Is like using the name of baba Oyedepo to pray
Like God of Oyedepo
So Orisa is a medium to get to Eledumare Agotun
Like in Catholic each profession has its own patron saint.
E.g saint Peter patron of fishermen
Saint Thomas Aquinos patron of sailors
So Saint Ogun is Patron of blacksmith and welders

Eledumare only is to be worshipped....the means is now left with you.
I chose to go through Christ for a reason cos
The story of creation said Eledumare and His only son word (oro) were the only one present when the world was about to be created.
Eji ogbe say so
And my Bible said the same
2. Secondly it is only Jesus that knows what happens when we die ..i mean after life
The Prophet Mohammed s.a.w
Said he dont know what will happen to him at death but Sheikh Ali and the rest should always pray for him...
3. Ifa said the good Priest and all those that venerated there Ifa well well while on earth will have surplus to eat at imere
That is why when a babalawo want to give kudos to his late boss he will say ...ki awo ire ma je ni imere
4.Jesus said in my Father's house there are many mansion there if no be so i will not say so

Listen that never mean I condemn any religion cos I know there are predestined Muslim and predestined ifa priest as well.
Well to me i know they will make heaven..very sure cos they are predestined.
Someone said what about Orumila
Baba is just a witness when humans are choosing destiny
Eleri ipin.....means witness to Destiny"

... You don't need a book to connect with God .. I always get angry when Africans most especially Nigerians exchange arguments on religion. Both Christianity n Islam is never ours, they gave them to us.. So why should we be arguing over something we don't know its origins. Some people r arguing about the so called holybooks that our fathers/mothers weren't there when they are writing the books? All what this Westerners call pagan for us is what they use to make money in their country ń u r here arguing over what is never yours. Go and read about history of Africa/Blacks ń your eyes will be open that the religion Arabs n Westerners gave us is the most backward ever happened to us. The owner of these books don't even practice it the way we do, look at their country, look at ours.... Africa needs to wake up from this religion shit n go back to what we know

Your first picture is false though. It was claimed to have been addressed to India and not Africa. Even at that, it has been debunked as fake.

Observe certain things
Any City or town that worship IFA are always backward with high disease rate , death , plagues and others. Why ? Find out !
Countries or cities that worship God as he prescribed in the Bible always prosper and in peace (compare western Europe to Eastern Europe ) . Most eastern Europe don't believe in God and are like poor cousins to the west.
Southern Nigeria is predominantly pagan worshippers with a mix of pseudo Christians. The result : a very unstable region .
Arabs are predominantly Muslims using the Quran as their constitutions. : Result a very wealthy and stable countries.
Russians and Chinese are predominantly Aetheist and you can see even though are well developed but are not inviting . So they are a 'case of human efforts but their stability is fact that they are firmly rooted to principle found in Bible...
Asians are like southern Nigeria .. predominantly pagans but with a mix of pseudo Christians. Result : a very unstable cities
Conclusion
IFA is paganism and a direct Satanic or demon worship ..it can't lead you anywhere .
God through Christ is the ultimate..but problem is most people are not ready to follow Christ as in the textbook way .
Think : if all of us in Nigeria obey God as found in Bible ..how do you think our country would look like ? Pleasant, peace development etc .
It is in our hands .

Oh please shut it. Nigeria with the bullshit religious country status is the capital of poverty.

mosho2good:
I remember the day I said I was not going to eat due to anger as a kid.

I have forgotten what exactly happened that evening, but I was Spanked and quarreled So I made up my mind that I wasn't going to eat anything in that house

Dinner was served and I was called upon to dine with my family but I refused. I told them to leave me, that I WON'T eat.

Everyone ignored me, focused on the food and when they were done, they took the Remnant to the kitchen and kept. It was supposed to be my Ration/share.

Maybe I was expecting my mom to Beg me or Pet me to join them but she didn't. Not begging me to eat vexed me greatly that I vowed "Lai Lai, I won't eat tonight, let me even die as a result of hunger but you see that food? I will never touch it"

Bed time came and everyone went to bed but for whatever reason, I couldn't sleep. It was as if the kingdom of darkness, alongside the chief priest in my village merged with The host of marine spirits that night to send Hunger.

I had never experienced that type of hunger before in my entire life, My intestines were cutting. It was as if I drank poison. I couldn't think of closing my eyes not to talk of sleeping.

When it looked like I will pass out the next 3 minutes? I crawled to the dark kitchen and used the Google map and flashlight in my head to locate the food they initially begged me to eat.

I tried to be as quiet as possible. You know it will be a big shame if anyone catches me eating same food I rejected so I was criminal about it.

When I located the food, I quickly sat down in an angle in the kitchen like a rat devouring someone's BSc.

The hunger in me didn't even notify me that I was making noise as I rushed the food before I die for nothing.

And the next thing I saw was a torch light flashing directly towards me. It was my mom. She had noise in the kitchen and came to know if Armmed robbers broke Into our house just to attack her pots of food.

I didn't know what to do or say, I felt ashamed but at the same time, I can't die because of hunger and pride nah. No!

She made sure she flashed me the torchlight well and went back to bed without even saying a word.

My people of God, that was how I survived that night. It's still a testimony to me.

From that day ehn, if I know they will beat me by 7PM. I make sure I eat till my satisfaction till 6pm or even 6:30 pm. In case that demonic spirit in my head deceives me not to eat after the beating.

Lol. I can relate with this. But in my own case, I was damn determined, I didn't eat till the next morning. But the hunger wey fire that night ehn, I no dey forget. I quietly waited for sleep to come.
