Now do we make just a single hotel and flight reservations in their mother's reservations e.g wen making d hotel reservation, do we choose 1 adult 2 kids while d reservation come in their mother's name or reservation must be made for d mother and each kids so also d flight? Is it only d consent letter required frm their father or he includes his statement of account to support the wife's? Does he need to provide prove of his employment also or not neccesary? I'm learning more and i wil appreciate other fellow experienced nairalanders opinion on dis query. God bless u all.

queenyetty09: She will need to include her payslips for d last 6mths. D kids will also need the copies of their vacination cards to be submitted. Dey don't accept yellow cards for kids but she can hold d cards just in case she has to submit dem. D husband will write a consent letter dat he is in support of d trip. D hotel n flight reservation sud be in ur aunty's name with d kids as accompanies den copies will be submitted for each child. She has to also write a self introduction letter stating dat she will be going with d kids for holiday n dat her husband approved apart frm d sponsorship letter

hello collinsfbi&odas, i nid a clarification on this. My auntie who is married wit 2 kids (5yrs&2yrs) wishes to visit south africa wit d kids in June for 2wks holiday..but d husband isnt going wit them. Now how is she to go about it since with d 2kids and she's goin to sponsor herself and kids...she is employed as a sales manager and has good account statement.....now d issue is since d husband is not going with them, does he need to present any document to support d wife&kids visa application? We want to ensure they av no problems wit their visa application thats why am seekin more ideas to wat i already know. Also apart frm d kid's intl passport and yellow card, wat else do they need for d application? Do we make individual hotel reservations for dem(i.e separate hotel reservations for mother, and each kid) . Pls check out d fllg documents for their applications and if sufficient or not:
1)Letter of employment of dat my aunty,
2)her appointment confirmation
3)letter of introduction frm employer
4)Request for Leave letter
5)approval of leave letter
6)self introductory letter(does she need to write separate letter of sponsorship since she is financing her trip and kids)
7)flight bookings for her and each kids
hotel reservation(can we make a single room hotel reservation for her and kids)
9)her statement of account
10)identity card
11)yellow fever cards for each of them.

biometrics aint taken for south africa visa...

I included in the application a copy of a uk visa I got in 2009.
Is it because of this? Cos surely, one's biometrics need to be taken when applying for a visa.

its a shame it happens dat way in lagos! I submitted my application at abuja on 20th march 2013 and got a text yesterday dat my passport is ready for collection. I advice any intending applicant who is after time&cant wait endlessly thru lagos to apply at abuja centre

Xreal use ur head en stop acting like u are not learned! Under no situation can u sue a consulate for holding ur passport for as long as they cliam ur passport and document are still under accessment or verification, d worst en best u can do it to write an official application for withdrawer of application and your passport would be returned to you in 48Hrs ! Note return usually without visa! En for the guy who stated it would never happen in any other country, am sure u av no idea wat immigration law say regrading travel passport, am here to say it happen anywhere in the world mostly the Americans, canada consulate anywhere in d world could hold ur passport for as long as 1year, all they have to tell you is your passport and document is undergoing verification en no one has the right to question why this is talking decades, the best u can do in such case is stated abve! WITHDRAW

@collins, this denial reason is kinda scary especialy if d card was obtained frm the port health....or what could av been d reason? As for me too, my visa re-application is unda assesment at abuja post and I submitted copy of d yellow card i obtained frm port health in novemba wich i used to get my first tourist visa in Dec. 2012..or is it that they no longer recognize d yellow cards previously issued cos i learnt they recently rolled out new cards in Feb 2013 or so

collinsfbi: I don't really agree with the reason for your denial, though i don't know the type of Yellow card you submitted but cards issued at the airport are generally accepted. I think the reason was just an excuse to deny you. For the sake of other, i will try as much as possible to upload a copy of the accepted Yellow card in and out for others to see, as that is what i use personally. Meanwhile you can get another cards and reapply but try as much as possible to simplify your application by submitting simple verifiable documents as follow:

1.Your passport.
2.Paid Hotel reservation
3.Flight reservation with South African airways.
4.Yellow card
5.My letter of introduction from your hospital
6.A letter of reference from your doctors' association in the hospital.
7.Your bank statement. (the 420k is ok)
8.Write a detail visa application letter to include the your reasons for visiting and assurance that you will come back.
9.Marriage cert if you are married (optional)
10.Consent letter from your wife if married(optional)
11.Evidence that you will come back to your country (A letter of absent from work/leave letter)

thank u. I got my first visa issued frm lagos in Decembegp last year under 3wks which was stil normal but now i'v seen people wit their applications taking longer even up to 3months in lagos. So I fear the imminent delays thats why am considering applyin thru Abuja. Or have they regularised their processing time in lagos bak to d normal 6-10working days?

sndrmrtns: when did you regsitered your business, when was your last interview and how old is your business( what do you claime your were doing on your last interview)be careful with your information on changes in your application ( DS form).

hello fastlink,those quoted lines are advice on how proper one can brighten one's chance for visa success at da embassy. I was adviced to claim being married to foster my home tie but i neva did because i didnt want to lie,hence,i was refused. Now i av another interview scheduled for Wednesday 6th march...but nw am confused cos i dnt wanna risk rejection on no family tie again as being single and was made to knw i need tell some lies if wanna succeed...pls fastlink, wats ur take?do i claim being married or not in order to boost my chances on that. I av other genuine proof that my circumstances has changed perfect. 1) i have increased travel history within my last appearance at d u.s embasy and now(visited 2 additional countries) 2) Now am self employed and av a duly registerd biz against my previous appearance at embasy as at wen i was just an employee..Thank u and i anticipate ur candid help.
