TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 10:14am On Nov 20, 2013
Dear nairalanders, am applying for my visa renewal the 3rd time next week...Now i have a friend who was refused sometime ago and am considering that we apply together at this time like we are going together for vacation. I use my business documents to get my visa and am like to cover her up as my employee using my docs but she has a good account balance. I wuld like to knw if its going to make sense if we submit in same package and she by accompanying me and i sponsor wit my sole personal account or she include her personal account too. I'm considerin this option to assist her chances cos am nt new to d embasy and av always complied wit immigration rule so she can be trusted. Or she shud go ahead and apply her's individually

hmmm, not certain of what to say here buh ur arrangement n personal circumstance is ok as self employed and 700k in ur personal acct is cool.i dont think anything wrong for a 21yr old guy/lady to be duly registered business owner. What do u think collinsfbi and oda more informed pple?
duncanmighty: dear people, i have found this site interesting and really informative. i need your assistance by giving the information my case deserves. I am a 21 year old guy and only have my diploma certificate. i am not in school but immediately i finished my diploma course last year. I registered a business name under CAC which i have been pushing gradually. my concerns is, i intend to apply for south africa tourist visa in 2 weeks time. my personal savings account balance is about 700000 naira. please wont they consider me as young (21 years to be self employed) and having about 700k in account. please am i good to go with my CAC cert and bank statement ? cos ive been told by some people that am supposed to be sponsored by parents and since am not in school , i dont have any tie than my biz. thank you and i await ur replies. thank u all

also in my opinion, i thought exactly as much as vicjustice thought based on the emphasis on the 20k. I assumed ur closing account must be on the very low since you(asorock) were hammering on the insignificant deposit with fear. Its cool now dat u declare a good account. All d best!
Vicjustice: You sought my advice and i rendered it to you my own way; you asked me to explain, and I explained it in all honesty. I said nothing of offensive nature, so, it is not my fault that you are unable to accept my own opinion, that is your own problem.
Now, this is a display of an ungrateful character, I gave my time and efforts answering your numerous questions, yet you have the mind to show this attitude...: by the way, I'm not interested in how extremely rich you are, just save the bragging for someone who may be interested in your wealth

hi all, is anyone with the idea how long it takes one to get his/her repartriation deposit back from the south africa embassy and the procedures? Thank u
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by opsy4real1: 6:14am On Oct 06, 2013
business is an entirely different legal entity from its owner. U can only use business fund to conduct business related travel and not leisure.
I was refused a general vistor visa on stupid grounds, the ECO looked for a fault and decided to pour it on my finances like they usually do, saying they don't think the financial circumstances presented by me is true therefore I can't fund my holiday to the UK and also I can't take money from mu business account to fund a personal trip, I make my money so what's their problem, i've called my immigration lawyer and he is doing the review on my behalf. I hope the decision is overturned and I get the visa
i dnt knw but at least 1 month. I even need d info towards my friend's reapplication thru lagos
3rd eye: pls how long does it take in Lagos centre?
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 12:07pm On Sep 23, 2013
@3rd eye, pls dont submit for re-application at abuja if thats where u got ur refusal. Cos a friend was denied around may at abuja and reapplied 2wks afta and he was denied again. Reason for denial 'RECENTLY DENIED'.
3rd eye: maybe its best One should pay some money for d booking.....and do u think its wise to reapply at d Abuja center? I'm actually considering the duration of processing. Cos I learnt lag takes long...
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 3:24pm On Sep 21, 2013
thanks for d info. So u paid 10k and ur visa was approved afta 4 working days?
suxes2005: Mine took 4 days. Though its a special application. If you want
something fast, here is an advice, you have to pay 10k at the VFS
for the fast processing.... I saw the banner right there in their office
dunno how it works though and how many days it will take.

You can go check it out or call/email them for more info

TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 2:09pm On Sep 20, 2013
then pls do suggest some hotels that are recognized and can be used..its like u once suggested purple olive guest house but d problem wit that is it is managed by booking.com which i undastand nt accepted by s.a embasy (i mean hotel confirmation with booking.com. Now i discovered one Rivierbos guest house and the room rate is as cheap as 360rands/nite and its a direct reservation confirmation frm d guest house and nt thru 3rd party. Please wat do u think abt d guesthouse. U may kindly check and let knw if its worth using. Thank u.. www.rivierbos.co.za
collinsfbi: Make sure to use registered hotel and make sure their details such as phone numbers are reachable to SA embassy in Nigeria and it must be a paid reservation.

Gbam over n out
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 7:16am On Sep 19, 2013
hi collinsfbi, i dont tend to undastand the south africa consulars any more especialy with deliberate denying of some applicants on hotel ground even in the midst of the validity of the reservation. The same kind hotel reservation i used in getting my visa that had been rejected in d case of 2 of my friends at different times. Even as at yesterday afta the denial we still checked with the hotel and still very much valid. May i ask how they conduct their own verification that states invalid. This is realy bringdown.
3rd eye: I aplied though abuja also...
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 6:07pm On Sep 18, 2013
where did u apply from? Abuja or lagos? Same just happened to a friend on same reason and he applied thru abuja..
3rd eye: oh I see...I only paid 18k...I guessed that was d reason why I was denied! I did make a hotel booking but I did not pay. SA embassy told me that I was denied cos of 'invalid hotel booking'. Kindly shed more light to this for me pls..nd what u think I can do next. And what do u mean by d 'letter of invitation from south African host'? Ur prompt response will be hightly appreciated! Cheers!

TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by opsy4real1: 10:08am On Aug 31, 2013
thank u very much suxes for shedding little light on d visit visa. May i ask wat if one already make a paid hotel booking and visa application turned down? 2) do i need to email german embassy to get interview appointment booking date? 3) would one get visa result same day of appearance at interview?
suxes2005: Tsup y'all?

As per housing for someone going for short course, talk to your
school. They'll give you options. If not, search for short let around the city, you'll see some...

Going to Germany to study german lang, hmnnn e get as e be ooo.
My advice, let it not be for german course alone, let's say you're on leave,
wanna go Germany, then take up the lang course....

As per visit visa, YOU must present a receipt from the hotel that shows
You've paid for the booking. Failure to do so, you aint gonna be interviewed.

Above all, if you package your docus well, German embassy is one of the best I've seen
Around. The guys there are friendly and answer your mails almost immediately!

Good luck to y'all!

TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 5:12pm On Aug 27, 2013
thank u typop, he submitted today. But may i ask if s.a embassy in lagos dont recognize yellow card issued frm Abuja? He was like they told him at application centre that d card was different frm d one they issue in lagos and wen he told me i told him he shud submit lyk dat since it was frm general hospitalwuse and wich i used to get my visa frm abuja. Pls hope no problem wit that
TYPOP: In the end, what the embassy wants to see is cash flow and the ability to pay for your expenses while in their country. The advance should not matter. And if he got the advance in his account as well, what he got at the end of that month will still be equal to his normal salary so no qualms. And if he got the advance cash, it's still not likely to be a problem.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 7:45pm On Aug 23, 2013
hello house, a friend is submitting his application on monday . He earns 120k monthly salary which reflects in his statement of account but he got an advance (50k)part of his salary in mid June before june salary due and when his salary account was credited for dat month june 70k was credited into his account against 120k as the 50k collected ahead of his salary had been deducted. So frm feb, mar, april, may (120k is reflected in his statement of acct as salary deposit)while 70k reflected in june as salary deposit and july also reflect 120k. Now he wanted to knw if dat wont affect his application that way and if they wud undastand why it was so....pls shed light.
Between i got my visa renewed frm abuja last wk afta 15working days but i expected more dan 3 months since i had been issued 3 months visa twice before d just approved renewal. . Thx and hope to hear ur opinion regards my friend case
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by opsy4real1: 6:45pm On Aug 17, 2013
hahahahahaha. I cant laugh!
dream23: now my cousin just got a visa to united states to attend a conference ...he later decided not to go since the agent that helped him book the conference is demanding N500000....he says he will call immigration at the usa border that if he gets to JFK they should deport him since he is no longer attending the coference.

1.he got a five year multiple visa....so if he decides to one day visit will they deport him.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 12:01pm On Aug 17, 2013

TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by opsy4real1: 7:02am On Aug 13, 2013
holding ur mastercard might not help at all...im telling you it doesnt help one of my friend abt 2 months ago as he wasnt allowed until he withdrew that money and even cudnt make d trip until the following day as he missed his flight for dat day as a result. Better hold ur 500bucks..
STENACO: Just make sure you have your letter of invitation and your accomodation details in SA. If you want to play with their intelligence just hold your mastercards because they will definitely ask of your BTA. Telll them you have paid in the money you will use on your account that you can not take cash around because of insecurity, finally dress responsibly and be ready to speak. Be at the airport at least 3hrs before your flight depature. Don't give them any money.

wat was d reason for ur denial? Whr did u apply? A friend was denied in may at abuja and reapplied afta 2wks and was again denied(reason:RECENTLY DENIED) .Then it baffled us since it was indicated in d first refusal note that if he wishes to reapply he shud attach all required documents..and wich he did. Then we cald s.a embasy abuja why he was rejectd and they said he ought nt to apply until afta 6months frm d initial denial
